BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Quando tutto fu finito, gli Israeliti presenti andarono tutti nelle città di Giuda a infrangere le stele, a tagliare i pali sacri e a distruggere completamente le alture e gli altari in tutto Giuda, nel territorio di Beniamino, di Èfraim e di Manàsse. Poi gli Israeliti tornarono nelle loro città, ognuno nella sua proprietà.	1 When al this was complete, al Israel present went out to the towns of Judah, broke the pil ars, cutdown the sacred poles, wrecked the high places and the altars, and did away with them entirely throughoutJudah, Benjamin, Ephraim, and Manasseh. Then al the Israelites returned to their towns, everyone to hisproperty.
2 Ezechia ricostituì le classi dei sacerdoti e dei leviti secondo le loro funzioni, assegnando a ognuno, ai sacerdoti e ai leviti, il proprio servizio riguardo all'olocausto e ai sacrifici di comunione per celebrare e lodare con inni e per servire alle porte degli accampamenti del Signore.	2 Hezekiah re-established the priestly and levitical orders, each man in his proper order according to hisduties, whether priest or Levite, to bring burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, to serve and to give thanksand praise within the gates of Yahweh's camp.
3 Il re determinò quanto dei suoi beni dovesse essere destinato agli olocausti del mattino e della sera, agli olocausti dei sabati, dei noviluni e delle feste, come sta scritto nella legge del Signore.	3 He also established a king's portion from his possessions for the morning and evening burnt offerings,and the burnt offerings for the Sabbaths, New Moons and festivals, as laid down in the Law of Yahweh.
4 Egli ordinò al popolo, agli abitanti di Gerusalemme, di consegnare ai sacerdoti e ai leviti la loro parte perché questi potessero attendere alla legge del Signore.	4 He furthermore requested the people living in Jerusalem to present the portion for the priests andLevites so that they might devote themselves to the Law of Yahweh.
5 Appena si diffuse quest'ordine, gli Israeliti offrirono in abbondanza le primizie del grano, del mosto, dell'olio, del miele e di ogni altro prodotto agricolo e la decima abbondante di ogni cosa.	5 As soon as the order had been promulgated, the Israelites provided the first fruits of grain, new wine,olive oil, honey and every other kind of agricultural produce in abundance; they brought in an abundant tithe ofeverything.
6 Anche gli Israeliti e i Giudei, che abitavano nelle città di Giuda, portarono la decima degli armenti e dei greggi; portarono la decima dei doni consacrati al Signore loro Dio, facendone grandi ammassi.	6 The Israelites and Judaeans living in the towns of Judah also brought in the tithe of cattle and sheep,and the tithe of sacred gifts consecrated to Yahweh their God, laying them in heaps.
7 Nel terzo mese si cominciò a fare gli ammassi, che furono completati nel settimo mese.	7 They began accumulating the heaps in the third month and had finished them by the seventh.
8 Vennero Ezechia e i capi; visti gli ammassi, benedissero il Signore e il popolo di Israele.	8 When Hezekiah and the officials came to inspect the heaps they praised Yahweh and his peopleIsrael.
9 Ezechia interrogò i sacerdoti e i leviti riguardo agli ammassi	9 While Hezekiah was questioning the priests and Levites about the heaps,
10 e il sommo sacerdote Azaria della casa di Zadòk gli rispose: "Da quando si è cominciato a portare l'offerta nel tempio, noi abbiamo mangiato e ci siamo saziati, ma ne è rimasto in abbondanza, perché il Signore ha benedetto il suo popolo; ne è rimasta questa grande quantità".	10 Azariah, the chief priest, of the family of Zadok, replied as fol ows, 'Since they began bringing thecontributions to the Temple of Yahweh,' he said, 'we have had enough to eat and quantities left over, for Yahwehhas blessed his people; this mass of stuff is left.'
11 Ezechia allora ordinò che si preparassero stanze nel tempio; le prepararono.	11 Hezekiah then ordered them to have storerooms prepared in the Temple of Yahweh and, when theyhad got them ready,
12 Vi depositarono scrupolosamente le offerte, le decime e le cose consacrate. A tali cose presiedeva il levita Conania, alle cui dipendenze era il fratello Simei.	12 they conscientiously brought in the contributions, tithes and consecrated gifts, Conaniah the Levitewas put in charge of them, with Shimei his brother as his assistant,
13 Iechièl, Azaria, Nacat, Asaèl, Ierimòt, Iozabàd, Eliel, Ismachia, Macat e Benaià erano impiegati sotto la direzione di Conania e di suo fratello Simei per ordine del re Ezechia e di Azaria preposto al tempio.	13 and with Jehiel, Azaziah, Nahath, Asahel, Jeremith, Jozabad, Eliel, Ismachiah, Mahath, and Benaiahas overseers under Conaniah and his brother Shimei, by order of King Hezekiah and of Azariah, the chief of theTemple of God.
14 Kore figlio di Imna, levita custode della porta d'oriente, si occupava delle offerte spontanee fatte a Dio; egli distribuiva quanto si prelevava per l'offerta al Signore e le cose santissime.	14 Kore son of Jimnah the Levite, keeper of the eastern gate, was made responsible for the voluntaryofferings to God and for providing the portion set aside for Yahweh and the most holy gifts.
15 Da lui dipendevano Eden, Miniàmin, Giosuè, Semaia, Amaria e Secania nelle città sacerdotali come distributori fedeli tra i loro fratelli, grandi e piccoli, secondo le loro classi,	15 Supporting him loyal y in the priestly towns were Eden, Miniamin, Jeshua, Shemaiah, Amariah andShechaniah, who made the distributions to their brothers in their various orders, whether high or low,

17 La registrazione dei sacerdoti era fatta secondo i loro casati; quella dei leviti, dai vent'anni in su, secondo le loro funzioni e secondo le loro classi.	17 the priests being registered according to family and the Levites of twenty years and upwardsaccording to their duties within their orders.
18 Erano registrati con tutti i bambini, le mogli, i figli e le figlie di tutta la comunità, poiché dovevano consacrarsi con fedeltà a ciò che è sacro.	18 And the official genealogy included all their household, their wives, their sons and their daughters,throughout the community, since these men were obliged to keep sanctifying themselves anew.
19 Per i figli di Aronne, ossia per i sacerdoti residenti in campagna, nelle zone attorno alle loro città, in ogni città c'erano uomini designati nominalmente per distribuire la parte dovuta a ogni maschio fra i sacerdoti e a ogni registrato fra i leviti.	19 The Aaronite priests who lived on the pasture lands belonging to their towns, had men named inevery town to distribute portions to every male among the priests and to everyone included in the officialgenealogy of the Levites.
20 Ezechia fece lo stesso in tutto Giuda; egli fece ciò che è buono e retto davanti al Signore suo Dio.	20 Hezekiah did this throughout all Judah. He did what Yahweh his God regards as good and right andloyal.
21 Quanto aveva intrapreso per il servizio del tempio, per la legge e per i comandi, lo fece cercando il suo Dio con tutto il cuore; per questo ebbe successo.	21 Everything that he undertook, whether in the service of the Temple of God or in connection with thelaw or the commandments, he did in absolute devotion to his God, and so succeeded.
