Isaia 32

1 Ecco, un re regnerà secondo giustizia e i principi governeranno secondo il diritto.	1 Behold, the king will reign in justice, and the princes will rule in judgment.
2 Ognuno sarà come un riparo contro il vento e uno schermo dall'acquazzone, come canali d'acqua in una steppa, come l'ombra di una grande roccia su arida terra.	2 And a man will be like someone hidden from the wind, who conceals himself from a storm, or like rivers of waters in a time of thirst, or like the shadow of a rock that juts out in a desert land.
3 Non si chiuderanno più gli occhi di chi vede e gli orecchi di chi sente staranno attenti.	3 The eyes of those who see will not be obscured, and the ears of those who hear will listen closely.
4 Gli animi volubili si applicheranno a comprendere e la lingua dei balbuzienti parlerà spedita e con chiarezza.	4 And the heart of the foolish will understand knowledge, and the tongue of those with impaired speech will speak quickly and plainly.
5 L'abietto non sarà chiamato più nobile né l'imbroglione sarà detto gentiluomo,	5 He who is foolish will no longer be called leader, nor will the deceitful be called greater.
6 poiché l'abietto fa discorsi abietti e il suo cuore trama iniquità, per commettere empietà e affermare errori intorno al Signore, per lasciare vuoto lo stomaco dell'affamato e far mancare la bevanda all'assetato.	6 For a foolish man speaks foolishness and his heart works iniquity in order to accomplish deception. And he speaks to the Lord deceitfully, so as to empty the soul of the hungry and to take away drink from the thirsty.
7 L'imbroglione - iniqui sono i suoi imbrogli - macchina scelleratezze per rovinare gli oppressi con parole menzognere, anche quando il povero può provare il suo diritto.	7 The tools of the deceitful are very wicked. For they have concocted plans to destroy the meek by lying words, though the poor speak judgment.
8 Il nobile invece si propone cose nobili e agisce sempre con nobiltà.	8 Yet truly, the prince will plan things that are worthy of a prince, and he will stand above the rulers.
9 Donne spensierate, suvvia ascoltate la mia voce; figlie baldanzose, porgete l'orecchio alle mie parole.	9 You opulent women, rise up and listen to my voice! O confident daughters, play close attention to my eloquence!
10 Fra un anno e più giorni voi tremerete, o baldanzose, perché finita la vendemmia non ci sarà più raccolto.	10 For after a year and some days, you who are confident will be disturbed. For the vintage has been completed; the gathering will no longer occur.
11 Temete, o spensierate; tremate, o baldanzose, deponete le vesti, spogliatevi, cingetevi i fianchi di sacco.	11 Be stupefied, you opulent women! Be disturbed, O confident ones! Strip yourselves, and be confounded; gird yourselves at the waist.
12 Battetevi il petto per le campagne amene, per i fertili vigneti,	12 Mourn over your breasts, over the delightful country, over the fruitful vineyard.
13 per la terra del mio popolo, nella quale cresceranno spine e pruni, per tutte le case in gioia, per la città gaudente;	13 Thorn and brier will rise up, over the soil of my people. How much more over all the houses of gladness, over the city of exultation?
14 poiché il palazzo sarà abbandonato, la città rumorosa sarà deserta, l'Ofel e il torrione diventeranno caverne per sempre, gioia degli asini selvatici, pascolo di mandrie.	14 For the house has been forsaken. The multitude of the city has been abandoned. A darkness and a covering have been placed over its dens, even unto eternity. It will be the gladness of wild donkeys and the pasture of flocks,
15 Ma infine in noi sarà infuso uno spirito dall'alto; allora il deserto diventerà un giardino e il giardino sarà considerato una selva.	15 until the Spirit is poured over us from on high. And the desert will be a fruitful field, and the fruitful field will be considered as a forest.
16 Nel deserto prenderà dimora il diritto e la giustizia regnerà nel giardino.	16 And judgment will live in solitude, and justice will be seated in a fruitful place.
17 Effetto della giustizia sarà la pace, frutto del diritto una perenne sicurezza.	17 And the work of justice will be peace. And the service of justice will be quiet and secure, forever.
18 Il mio popolo abiterà in una dimora di pace, in abitazioni tranquille, in luoghi sicuri,	18 And my people will be seated in the beauty of peacefulness, and in the tabernacles of faithfulness, and in the opulence of restfulness.
19 anche se la selva cadrà e la città sarà sprofondata.	19 But hail will be in the descent of the forest, and the city will be brought exceedingly low.
20 Beati voi! Seminerete in riva a tutti i ruscelli e lascerete in libertà buoi e asini.	20 Blessed are you who sow over any waters, sending the feet of the ox and the donkey there.
