| 3 L’integrità guida gli uomini retti; la depravazione rovina i perfidi. | 3 The honesty of the upright guides them; the faithless are ruined by their duplicity. |
| 4 Non gioveranno le ricchezze nel giorno dell’ira, ma la giustizia salva dalla morte. | 4 Wealth is useless on the day of wrath, but virtue saves from death. |
| 5 La giustizia degli integri ne appiana il cammino, mentre l’empio cade per la sua empietà. | 5 The honest man's virtue makes his way straight, but by his wickedness the wicked man falls. |

| 8 Il giusto sarà liberato dall’angustia e al suo posto sarà messo l’empio. | 8 The just man escapes trouble, and the wicked man falls into it in his stead. |
| 9 Il simulatore con le parole rovina il prossimo, ma i giusti lo salvano con la saggezza. | 9 With his mouth the impious man would ruin his neighbor, but through their knowledge the just make their escape. |
| 10 La città esulta per il bene dei giusti e fa tripudio per la rovina degli empi. | 10 When the just prosper, the city rejoices; and when the wicked perish, there is jubilation. |
| 11 La città viene esaltata dalla benedizione dei retti, ma a causa degli empi va in rovina. | 11 Through the blessing of the righteous the city is exalted, but through the mouth of the wicked it is overthrown. |
| 12 Chi disprezza il prossimo è privo di senno; l’uomo prudente sa tacere. | 12 He who reviles his neighbor has no sense, but the intelligent man keeps silent. |
| 13 Chi va sparlando svela il segreto; l’uomo fidato copre tutto. | 13 A newsmonger reveals secrets, but a trustworthy man keeps a confidence. |
| 14 Il popolo decade dove manca buon governo; la salvezza è nel gran numero di consiglieri. | 14 For lack of guidance a people falls; security lies in many counselors. |

| 22 È un anello d’oro nel naso di un maiale una donna bella ma insulsa. | 22 Like a golden ring in a swine's snout is a beautiful woman with a rebellious disposition. |
| 23 Il desiderio dei giusti ha sempre buon esito; la speranza degli empi, invece, tramonta. | 23 The desire of the just ends only in good; the expectation of the wicked is wrath. |
| 24 C’è chi dona generosamente e diventa più ricco, e chi è stretto fuor di misura ed è sempre nell’indigenza. | 24 One man is lavish yet grows still richer; another is too sparing, yet is the poorer. |
| 25 L’uomo benefico prospererà e chi ristora gli altri sarà pure ristorato. | 25 He who confers benefits will be amply enriched, and he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed. |
