1 Factum est autem in die, qua complevit Moyses habitaculum et erexit illud unxitque et sanctificavit cum omnibus vasis suis, altare similiter et omnia vasa eius,	1 On the day Moses finished erecting the Dwel ing, he anointed and consecrated it and all its furniture,as well as the altar and al its equipment. When he had anointed and consecrated it al ,
2 obtulerunt principes Israel et capita familiarum, qui erant per singulas tribus praefecti eorum, qui numerati fuerant,	2 the leaders of Israel made an offering; they were the heads of their families, the tribal leaders who hadpresided over the census.
3 munera coram Domino sex plaustra tecta cum duodecim bobus. Unum plaustrum obtulere duo duces et unum bovem singuli; obtuleruntque ea in conspectu habitaculi.	3 They brought their offering before Yahweh: six covered wagons and twelve oxen, one wagon for everytwo leaders and one ox each. They brought them in front of the Dwel ing.
4 Ait autem Dominus ad Moysen:	4 Yahweh spoke to Moses and said,
5 “ Suscipe ab eis, ut serviant in ministerio tabernaculi conventus, et trades ea Levitis iuxta ordinem ministerii sui ”.	5 'Accept these from them, and let them be set apart for the service of the Tent of Meeting. You wil givethem to the Levites, to each as his duties require.'
6 Itaque cum suscepisset Moyses plaustra et boves, tradidit eos Levitis.	6 Moses took the wagons and oxen, and gave them to the Levites.
7 Duo plaustra et quattuor boves dedit filiis Gerson, iuxta id quod habebant necessarium.	7 To the Gershonites he gave two wagons and four oxen for the duties they had to perform.
8 Quattuor alia plaustra et octo boves dedit filiis Merari, secundum offficia sua sub manu Ithamar filii Aaron sacerdotis.	8 To the Merarites he gave four wagons and eight oxen for the duties they had to perform under thedirection of Ithamar, son of Aaron the priest.
9 Filiis autem Caath non dedit plaustra et boves, quia in sanctuario serviunt et onera propriis portant umeris.	9 But to the Kohathites he gave none at all, because the sacred charge entrusted to them had to becarried on their shoulders.
10 Igitur obtulerunt duces in dedicationem altaris die, qua unctum est, oblationem suam ante altare.	10 The leaders then made an offering for the dedication of the altar, on the day it was anointed. Theybrought their offering before the altar,
11 Dixitque Dominus ad Moysen: “ Singuli duces per singulos dies offerant munera in dedicationem altaris ”.	11 and Yahweh said to Moses, 'Each day one of the leaders must bring his offering for the dedication ofthe altar.'
12 Primo die obtulit oblationem suam Naasson filius Aminadab de tribu Iudae.	12 On the first day an offering was brought by Nahshon son of Amminadab, of the tribe of Judah.

88 In hostias pacificorum omnes boves viginti quattuor, arietes sexaginta, hirci sexaginta, agni anniculi sexaginta: haec oblata sunt in dedicatione altaris, quando unctum est.	88 The sum total of animals for the communion sacrifice: twenty-four bulls, sixty rams, sixty he-goats andsixty male yearling lambs. Such were the offerings for the dedication of the altar, after it had been anointed.
89 Cumque ingrederetur Moyses tabernaculum testimonii, ut consuleret oraculum, audiebat vocem loquentis ad se de propitiatorio, quod erat super arcam testimonii inter duos cherubim, unde et loquebatur ei.	89 When Moses went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with him, he heard the voice speaking to himfrom above the mercy-seat on the ark of the Testimony, from between the two great winged creatures. He thenspoke to him.
