Isaiah (ישעיה) - Isaia 116

1 אהבתי כי ישמע יהוה את קולי תחנוני	1 Al eluia! I am fil ed with love when Yahweh listens to the sound of my prayer,
2 כי הטה אזנו לי ובימי אקרא	2 when he bends down to hear me, as I cal .
3 אפפוני חבלי מות ומצרי שאול מצאוני צרה ויגון אמצא	3 The bonds of death were al round me, the snares of Sheol held me fast; distress and anguish heldme in their grip,
4 ובשם יהוה אקרא אנה יהוה מלטה נפשי	4 I cal ed on the name of Yahweh. Deliver me, Yahweh, I beg you.
5 חנון יהוה וצדיק ואלהינו מרחם	5 Yahweh is merciful and upright, our God is tenderness.
6 שמר פתאים יהוה דלותי ולי יהושיע	6 Yahweh looks after the simple, when I was brought low he gave me strength.
7 שובי נפשי למנוחיכי כי יהוה גמל עליכי	7 My heart, be at peace once again, for Yahweh has treated you generously.
8 כי חלצת נפשי ממות את עיני מן דמעה את רגלי מדחי	8 He has rescued me from death, my eyes from tears, and my feet from stumbling.
9 אתהלך לפני יהוה בארצות החיים	9 I shal pass my life in the presence of Yahweh, in the land of the living.
10 האמנתי כי אדבר אני עניתי מאד	10 My trust does not fail even when I say, 'I am completely wretched.'
11 אני אמרתי בחפזי כל האדם כזב	11 In my terror I said, 'No human being can be relied on.'
12 מה אשיב ליהוה כל תגמולוהי עלי	12 What return can I make to Yahweh for his generosity to me?
13 כוס ישועות אשא ובשם יהוה אקרא	13 I shal take up the cup of salvation and cal on the name of Yahweh.
14 נדרי ליהוה אשלם נגדה נא לכל עמו	14 I shal fulfil my vows to Yahweh, witnessed by al his people.
15 יקר בעיני יהוה המותה לחסידיו	15 Costly in Yahweh's sight is the death of his faithful.
16 אנה יהוה כי אני עבדך אני עבדך בן אמתך פתחת למוסרי	16 I beg you, Yahweh! I am your servant, I am your servant and my mother was your servant; you haveundone my fetters.
17 לך אזבח זבח תודה ובשם יהוה אקרא	17 I shal offer you a sacrifice of thanksgiving and cal on the name of Yahweh.
18 נדרי ליהוה אשלם נגדה נא לכל עמו	18 I shal fulfil my vows to Yahweh, witnessed by al his people,
19 בחצרות בית יהוה בתוככי ירושלם הללו יה	19 in the courts of the house of Yahweh, in your very heart, Jerusalem.
