Seconda lettera ai Tessalonicesi 1

1 - Paolo e Silvano e Timoteo alla Chiesa dei Tessalonicesi in Dio Padre nostro e nel Signore Gesù Cristo,	1 Paul and Sylvanus and Timothy, to the church of the Thessalonians, in God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
2 grazia a voi e pace da Dio Padre e dal Signore Gesù Cristo.	2 Grace and peace to you, from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Noi dobbiamo sempre ringraziar Dio per voi, o fratelli, com'è degno, perchè cresce la vostra fede e s'aumenta l'amore di ognuno di voi verso gli altri;	3 We ought to give thanks always to God for you, brothers, in a fitting manner, because your faith is increasing greatly, and because the charity of each of you toward one another is abundant,
4 tanto che noi stessi ci gloriamo di voi nelle chiese di Dio a motivo della vostra costanza e fede in tutte le vostre persecuzioni e afflizioni che dovete sopportare;	4 so much so that we ourselves even glory in you among the churches of God, because of your patience and faith in all of your persecutions and tribulations that you endure,
5 indizio del giusto giudizio di Dio, a fine che siate ritenuti degni del regno di Dio, per il quale anche soffrite;	5 which are a sign of the just judgment of God, so that you may be held worthy of the kingdom of God, for which you also suffer.
6 essendo pur giusto presso Dio il ricambiare tribolazioni a quei che fan tribolar voi,	6 For certainly, it is just for God to repay trouble to those who trouble you,
7 e che a voi tribolati sia data requie con noi; ciò nel rivelarsi che farà il Signor Gesù dal cielo coi potenti angeli suoi,	7 and to repay you, who are being troubled, with a repose with us, when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven with the Angels of his virtue,
8 in un incendio di fiamme, facendo vendetta di coloro che non conoscono Iddio e non ubbidiscono al Vangelo del Signor nostro Gesù;	8 granting vindication, by a flame of fire, against those who do not know God and who are not obedient to the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ.
9 i quali saranno puniti d'eterna perdizione, lungi dalla faccia del Signore e dalla gloria della sua potenza;	9 These shall be given the eternal punishment of destruction, apart from the face of the Lord and apart from the glory of his virtue,
10 in quel giorno quando Egli verrà per essere glorificato in mezzo a' suoi santi e ad essere ammirato fra tutti quelli che hanno creduto, poichè anche presso voi ha trovato fede la nostra testimonianza.	10 when he arrives to be glorified in his saints, and to become a wonder in all those who have believed, in that day, because our testimony has been believed by you.
11 Al qual fine noi preghiamo anche sempre per voi, onde il nostro Dio vi faccia degni della sua chiamata, e compia efficacemente tutta la volontà sua buona, e l'opera della fede,	11 Because of this, too, we pray always for you, so that our God may make you worthy of his calling and may complete every act of his goodness, as well as his work of faith in virtue,
12 affinchè sia glorificato il nome del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo fra voi e voi in lui, secondo la grazia del Dio nostro e del Signore Gesù Cristo.	12 in order that the name of our Lord Jesus may be glorified in you, and you in him, in accord with the grace of our God and of the Lord Jesus Christ.
