Seconda lettera ai Tessalonicesi 1

BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 - Paolo e Silvano e Timoteo alla Chiesa dei Tessalonicesi in Dio Padre nostro e nel Signore Gesù Cristo,
2 grazia a voi e pace da Dio Padre e dal Signore Gesù Cristo.	2 Grace to you and peace from God the Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.
3 Noi dobbiamo sempre ringraziar Dio per voi, o fratelli, com'è degno, perchè cresce la vostra fede e s'aumenta l'amore di ognuno di voi verso gli altri;	3 We must always thank God for you, brothers; quite rightly, because your faith is growing so wonderfullyand the mutual love that each one of you has for al never stops increasing.
4 tanto che noi stessi ci gloriamo di voi nelle chiese di Dio a motivo della vostra costanza e fede in tutte le vostre persecuzioni e afflizioni che dovete sopportare;	4 Among the churches of God we take special pride in you for your perseverance and faith under al thepersecutions and hardships you have to bear.
5 indizio del giusto giudizio di Dio, a fine che siate ritenuti degni del regno di Dio, per il quale anche soffrite;	5 It al shows that God's judgement is just, so that you may be found worthy of the kingdom of God; it isfor the sake of this that you are suffering now.
6 essendo pur giusto presso Dio il ricambiare tribolazioni a quei che fan tribolar voi,	6 For God's justice wil surely mean hardship being inflicted on those who are now inflicting hardship onyou,
7 e che a voi tribolati sia data requie con noi; ciò nel rivelarsi che farà il Signor Gesù dal cielo coi potenti angeli suoi,	7 and for you who are now suffering hardship, relief with us, when the Lord Jesus appears from heavenwith the angels of his power.
8 in un incendio di fiamme, facendo vendetta di coloro che non conoscono Iddio e non ubbidiscono al Vangelo del Signor nostro Gesù;	8 He wil come amid flaming fire; he wil impose a penalty on those who do not acknowledge God andrefuse to accept the gospel of our Lord Jesus.
9 i quali saranno puniti d'eterna perdizione, lungi dalla faccia del Signore e dalla gloria della sua potenza;	9 Their punishment is to be lost eternal y, excluded from the presence of the Lord and from the glory of his strength
10 in quel giorno quando Egli verrà per essere glorificato in mezzo a' suoi santi e ad essere ammirato fra tutti quelli che hanno creduto, poichè anche presso voi ha trovato fede la nostra testimonianza.	10 on that day when he comes to be glorified among his holy ones and marvelled at by al who believe inhim; and you are among those who believed our witness.
11 Al qual fine noi preghiamo anche sempre per voi, onde il nostro Dio vi faccia degni della sua chiamata, e compia efficacemente tutta la volontà sua buona, e l'opera della fede,	11 In view of this we also pray continual y that our God wil make you worthy of his cal , and by his powerfulfil all your desires for goodness, and complete al that you have been doing through faith;
12 affinchè sia glorificato il nome del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo fra voi e voi in lui, secondo la grazia del Dio nostro e del Signore Gesù Cristo.	12 so that the name of our Lord Jesus Christ may be glorified in you and you in him, by the grace of ourGod and the Lord Jesus Christ.
