Ora i Caldei assediavano la città tutt'intorno, perciò quando Sedecia se ne fuggì per la via che conduce alla pianura del deserto, | 4 Then a breach was made in the city; the king with all the men of war fled by night by the way of the gate between the two walls, by the king's garden, though the Chaldeans were around the city. And they went in the direction of the Arabah. |
| 5 venne inseguito dall'esercito dei Caldei e raggiunto nella pianura di Gerico. Tutti i guerrieri che erano con lui, furono dispersi e costretti ad abbandonarlo. | 5 But the army of the Chaldeans pursued the king, and overtook him in the plains of Jericho; and all his army was scattered from him. |

| 15 parimenti i turiboli e le fiale, fossero essi d'oro o d'argento, furono presi dal capo delle milizie, | 15 the firepans also, and the bowls. What was of gold the captain of the guard took away as gold, and what was of silver, as silver. |
| 16 insieme alle due colonne, al mare di rame e alle basi fatte da Salomone nel tempio del Signore. Il peso di rame di tutti questi utensili era immenso. | 16 As for the two pillars, the one sea, and the stands, which Solomon had made for the house of the LORD, the bronze of all these vessels was beyond weight. |

And the second pillar had the like, with the network. |
