1 Così introdussero e collocarono l'arca di Dio al centro della tenda eretta per essa da Davide; offrirono olocausti e sacrifici di comunione a Dio.	1 And so they took the ark of God, and they set it in the midst of the tabernacle, which David had pitched for it. And they offered holocausts and peace offerings before God.
2 Terminati gli olocausti e i sacrifici di comunione, Davide benedisse il popolo in nome del Signore.	2 And when David had completed offering holocausts and peace offerings, he blessed the people in the name of the Lord.
3 Distribuì a tutti gli Israeliti, uomini e donne, una pagnotta, una porzione di carne e una schiacciata d'uva.	3 And he divided to every single one, from men even to women, a twist of bread, and a piece of roasted beef, and fine wheat flour fried with oil.
4 Egli stabilì che alcuni leviti stessero davanti all'arca del Signore come ministri per celebrare, ringraziare e lodare il Signore, Dio di Israele.	4 And he appointed some from the Levites who would minister before the ark of the Lord, and commemorate his works, and glorify and praise the Lord, the God of Israel.
5 Erano Asaf il capo, Zaccaria il suo secondo, Uzzièl, Semiramot, Iechièl, Mattatia, Eliàb, Benaià, Obed-Èdom e Ieièl, che suonavano strumenti musicali, arpe e cetre; Asaf suonava i cembali.	5 Asaph was the leader, and second to him was Zechariah. In addition, there were Jeiel, and Shemiramoth, and Jehiel, and Mattithiah, and Eliab, and Benaiah, and Obededom. And Jeiel was over the instruments of the psaltery and the harps. But Asaph sounded out with the cymbals.
6 I sacerdoti Benaià e Iacazièl con le trombe erano sempre davanti all'arca dell'alleanza di Dio.	6 Truly, the priests, Benaiah and Jahaziel, were to sound the trumpet continually before the ark of the covenant of the Lord.
7 Proprio in quel giorno Davide per la prima volta affidò ad Asaf e ai suoi fratelli questa lode al Signore:	7 In that day, David made Asaph the leader, in order to confess to the Lord with his brothers:
8 Lodate il Signore, acclamate il suo nome; manifestate ai popoli le sue gesta.	8 “Confess to the Lord, and invoke his name. Make known his endeavors among the peoples.
9 Cantate in suo onore, inneggiate a lui, ripetete tutti i suoi prodigi.	9 Sing to him, and sing psalms to him, and describe all his miracles.
10 Gloriatevi sul suo santo nome; gioisca il cuore di quanti ricercano il Signore.	10 Praise his holy name! Let the heart of those who seek the Lord rejoice!
11 Cercate il Signore e la sua forza, ricercate sempre il suo volto.	11 Seek the Lord and his virtue. Seek his face always.
12 Ricordate i prodigi che egli ha compiuti, i suoi miracoli e i giudizi della sua bocca.	12 Remember his miracles, which he has accomplished, his signs, and the judgments of his mouth.
13 Stirpe di Israele suo servo, figli di Giacobbe, suoi eletti,	13 O offspring of Israel, his servants! O sons of Jacob, his elect!
14 egli, il Signore, è il nostro Dio; in tutta la terra fanno legge i suoi giudizi.	14 He is the Lord our God. His judgments are throughout all the earth.
15 Si ricorda sempre dell'alleanza, della parola data a mille generazioni,	15 Remember forever his covenant, the word that he instructed unto a thousand generations,
16 dell'alleanza conclusa con Abramo, del giuramento fatto a Isacco,	16 the covenant that he formed with Abraham, and his oath with Isaac.
17 confermato a Giacobbe come statuto, a Israele come alleanza perenne:	17 And he appointed the same to Jacob as a precept, and to Israel as an everlasting pact,
18 "A te darò il paese di Canaan, come tua parte di eredità".	18 saying: ‘To you, I will give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance.’
19 Eppure costituivano un piccolo numero; erano pochi e per di più stranieri nel paese.	19 At that time, they were small in number, they were few and were settlers there.
20 Passarono dall'una all'altra nazione, da un regno a un altro popolo.	20 And they passed through, from nation to nation, and from one kingdom to another people.
21 Egli non tollerò che alcuno li opprimesse; per essi egli castigò i re:	21 He did not permit anyone to falsely accuse them. Instead, he reproved kings on their behalf:
22 "Non toccate i miei consacrati, non maltrattate i miei profeti".	22 ‘Do not touch my Christ. And do not malign my prophets.’
23 Cantate al Signore, abitanti di tutta la terra; annunziate ogni giorno la sua salvezza.	23 Sing to the Lord, all the earth! Announce his salvation, from day to day.
24 Proclamate fra i popoli la sua gloria, fra tutte le nazioni i suoi prodigi.	24 Describe his glory among the Gentiles, his miracles among all the peoples.
25 Difatti grande è il Signore, degnissimo di lode e tremendo sopra tutti gli dèi.	25 For the Lord is great and exceedingly praiseworthy. And he is terrible, above all gods.
26 Tutti gli dèi venerati dai popoli sono un nulla; il Signore, invece, ha formato il cielo.	26 For all the gods of the peoples are idols. But the Lord made the heavens.
27 Splendore e maestà stanno davanti a lui; potenza e bellezza nel suo santuario.	27 Confession and magnificence are before him. Strength and gladness are in his place.
28 Date per il Signore, stirpi dei popoli, date per il Signore gloria e onore.	28 Bring to the Lord, O families of the peoples, bring to the Lord glory and dominion.
29 Date per il Signore gloria al suo nome; con offerte presentatevi a lui. Prostratevi al Signore in sacri ornamenti.	29 Give glory to the Lord, to his name. Lift up sacrifice, and approach before his sight. And adore the Lord in holy attire.
30 Tremate davanti a lui, abitanti di tutta la terra; egli fissò il mondo sì che non crolli.	30 Let all the earth be moved before his face. For he founded the globe immoveable.
31 Gioiscano i cieli ed esulti la terra; si dica fra i popoli: "Il Signore regna".	31 Let the heavens rejoice, and let the earth exult. And let them say among the nations, ‘The Lord has reigned.’
32 Frema il mare con quanto contiene; tripudi la campagna con quanto è in essa.	32 Let the sea roar, with all its plenitude. Let the fields exult, with all that is in them.
33 Gridino di giubilo gli alberi della foresta di fronte al Signore, perché viene per giudicare la terra.	33 Then the trees of the forest will give praise before the Lord. For he comes to judge the earth.
34 Lodate il Signore, perché è buono, perché la sua grazia dura sempre.	34 Confess to the Lord, for he is good. For his mercy is eternal.
35 Dite: "Salvaci, Dio della nostra salvezza; raccoglici, liberaci dalle genti sì che possiamo celebrare il tuo santo nome, gloriarci della tua lode.	35 And say: ‘Save us, O God our savior! And gather us together, and rescue us from the nations, so that we may confess to your holy name, and may exult in your songs.
36 Sia benedetto il Signore, Dio di Israele, di secolo in secolo". E tutto il popolo disse: "Amen, alleluia".	36 Blessed be the Lord, the God of Israel, from eternity to eternity.’ And let all the people say, ‘Amen,’ and let them sing a hymn to the Lord.”
37 Quindi Davide lasciò Asaf e i suoi fratelli davanti all'arca dell'alleanza del Signore, perché officiassero davanti all'arca secondo il rituale quotidiano;	37 And so, there before the ark of the covenant of the Lord, he left Asaph and his brothers, so that they might minister in the sight of the ark continually, throughout each day, and in their turns.
38 lasciò Obed-Èdom figlio di Idutun, e Cosà, insieme con sessantotto fratelli, come portieri.	38 Now Obededom and his brothers were sixty-eight. And he appointed Obededom, the son of Jeduthun, and Hosah to be porters.
39 Egli incaricò della Dimora del Signore che era sull'altura di Gàbaon il sacerdote Zadòk e i suoi fratelli,	39 But Zadok the priest, and his brothers the priests, were before the tabernacle of the Lord in the high place, which was in Gibeon,
40 perché offrissero olocausti al Signore sull'altare degli olocausti per sempre, al mattino e alla sera, e compissero quanto è scritto nella legge che il Signore aveva imposta a Israele.	40 so that they could offer holocausts to the Lord upon the altar of holocausts continually, morning and evening, according to all that was written in the law of the Lord, which he instructed to Israel.
41 Con loro erano Eman, Idutun e tutti gli altri scelti e designati per nome perché lodassero il Signore, 'perché la sua grazia dura sempre'.	41 And after him, Heman, and Jeduthun, and the remainder of the elect, each one by his name, were appointed to confess to the Lord: “For his mercy endures forever.”
42 Con loro avevano trombe e cembali per suonare e altri strumenti per il canto divino. I figli di Idutun erano incaricati della porta.	42 Also Heman and Jeduthun sounded the trumpet, and they played upon the cymbals, and upon every kind of musical instrument, in order to sing praises to God. But the sons of Jeduthun he made to be porters.
43 Infine tutto il popolo andò a casa e Davide tornò per salutare la sua famiglia.	43 And all the people returned to their houses, and David also, so that he might bless his own house too.
