BIBBIA CEI 1974	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Così introdussero e collocarono l'arca di Dio al centro della tenda eretta per essa da Davide; offrirono olocausti e sacrifici di comunione a Dio.	1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.
2 Terminati gli olocausti e i sacrifici di comunione, Davide benedisse il popolo in nome del Signore.	2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.
3 Distribuì a tutti gli Israeliti, uomini e donne, una pagnotta, una porzione di carne e una schiacciata d'uva.	3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.
4 Egli stabilì che alcuni leviti stessero davanti all'arca del Signore come ministri per celebrare, ringraziare e lodare il Signore, Dio di Israele.	4 He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of Yahweh, to extol, glorify and praiseYahweh, God of Israel;
5 Erano Asaf il capo, Zaccaria il suo secondo, Uzzièl, Semiramot, Iechièl, Mattatia, Eliàb, Benaià, Obed-Èdom e Ieièl, che suonavano strumenti musicali, arpe e cetre; Asaf suonava i cembali.	5 first Asaph, second Zechariah, then Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who played the lyre and harp, while Asaph played the cymbals.
6 I sacerdoti Benaià e Iacazièl con le trombe erano sempre davanti all'arca dell'alleanza di Dio.	6 The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel continually blew the trumpet before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 Proprio in quel giorno Davide per la prima volta affidò ad Asaf e ai suoi fratelli questa lode al Signore:	7 On that day, David was the first to assign to Asaph and his kinsmen the giving of thanks to Yahweh:
8 Lodate il Signore, acclamate il suo nome; manifestate ai popoli le sue gesta.	8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.
9 Cantate in suo onore, inneggiate a lui, ripetete tutti i suoi prodigi.	9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!
10 Gloriatevi sul suo santo nome; gioisca il cuore di quanti ricercano il Signore.	10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!
11 Cercate il Signore e la sua forza, ricercate sempre il suo volto.	11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!
12 Ricordate i prodigi che egli ha compiuti, i suoi miracoli e i giudizi della sua bocca.	12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,
13 Stirpe di Israele suo servo, figli di Giacobbe, suoi eletti,	13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!
14 egli, il Signore, è il nostro Dio; in tutta la terra fanno legge i suoi giudizi.	14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.
15 Si ricorda sempre dell'alleanza, della parola data a mille generazioni,	15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,
16 dell'alleanza conclusa con Abramo, del giuramento fatto a Isacco,	16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,
17 confermato a Giacobbe come statuto, a Israele come alleanza perenne:	17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,
18 "A te darò il paese di Canaan, come tua parte di eredità".	18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,
19 Eppure costituivano un piccolo numero; erano pochi e per di più stranieri nel paese.	19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'
20 Passarono dall'una all'altra nazione, da un regno a un altro popolo.	20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,
21 Egli non tollerò che alcuno li opprimesse; per essi egli castigò i re:	21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,
22 "Non toccate i miei consacrati, non maltrattate i miei profeti".	22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'
23 Cantate al Signore, abitanti di tutta la terra; annunziate ogni giorno la sua salvezza.	23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!
24 Proclamate fra i popoli la sua gloria, fra tutte le nazioni i suoi prodigi.	24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!
25 Difatti grande è il Signore, degnissimo di lode e tremendo sopra tutti gli dèi.	25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.
26 Tutti gli dèi venerati dai popoli sono un nulla; il Signore, invece, ha formato il cielo.	26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,
27 Splendore e maestà stanno davanti a lui; potenza e bellezza nel suo santuario.	27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.
28 Date per il Signore, stirpi dei popoli, date per il Signore gloria e onore.	28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,
29 Date per il Signore gloria al suo nome; con offerte presentatevi a lui. Prostratevi al Signore in sacri ornamenti.	29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,
30 Tremate davanti a lui, abitanti di tutta la terra; egli fissò il mondo sì che non crolli.	30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,
31 Gioiscano i cieli ed esulti la terra; si dica fra i popoli: "Il Signore regna".	31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'
32 Frema il mare con quanto contiene; tripudi la campagna con quanto è in essa.	32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,
33 Gridino di giubilo gli alberi della foresta di fronte al Signore, perché viene per giudicare la terra.	33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.
34 Lodate il Signore, perché è buono, perché la sua grazia dura sempre.	34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!
35 Dite: "Salvaci, Dio della nostra salvezza; raccoglici, liberaci dalle genti sì che possiamo celebrare il tuo santo nome, gloriarci della tua lode.	35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'
36 Sia benedetto il Signore, Dio di Israele, di secolo in secolo". E tutto il popolo disse: "Amen, alleluia".	36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'
37 Quindi Davide lasciò Asaf e i suoi fratelli davanti all'arca dell'alleanza del Signore, perché officiassero davanti all'arca secondo il rituale quotidiano;	37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,
38 lasciò Obed-Èdom figlio di Idutun, e Cosà, insieme con sessantotto fratelli, come portieri.	38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.
39 Egli incaricò della Dimora del Signore che era sull'altura di Gàbaon il sacerdote Zadòk e i suoi fratelli,	39 Zadok the priest and the priests, his kinsmen, he left before the dwelling of Yahweh on the high placeat Gibeon
40 perché offrissero olocausti al Signore sull'altare degli olocausti per sempre, al mattino e alla sera, e compissero quanto è scritto nella legge che il Signore aveva imposta a Israele.	40 to bring burnt offerings to Yahweh unfailingly, morning and evening, on the altar of burnt offering, andto carry out al that is written in the Law of Yahweh laid down for Israel.
41 Con loro erano Eman, Idutun e tutti gli altri scelti e designati per nome perché lodassero il Signore, 'perché la sua grazia dura sempre'.	41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who were chosen and assigned by nameto give thanks to Yahweh, 'for his faithful love lasts for ever'.
42 Con loro avevano trombe e cembali per suonare e altri strumenti per il canto divino. I figli di Idutun erano incaricati della porta.	42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.
43 Infine tutto il popolo andò a casa e Davide tornò per salutare la sua famiglia.	43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.
