29 Tutti quelli, che eran capaci d'intendere, promettevano pe' loro fratelli, e i principali tra loro venivano a prò mettere, e giurare di camminar nella legge data da Dio per mezzo di Mosè servo di Dio, di adempire, e osservare tutti quanti i comandamenti del Signore Dio nostro, e li suoi precetti, e le cerimonie,	29 And the rest of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple slavesand all those who had severed relations with the people of the country to adhere to the law of God, as also theirwives, their sons, their daughters, that is, al those who had reached the age of discretion,
30 E di non dare le nostre figliuole ad uomini d'altre nazioni, e di non fare sposare le loro figlie ai nostri figliuoli.	30 have joined their esteemed brothers in a solemn oath to follow the law of God given through Moses,servant of God, and to observe and practise all the commandments of Yahweh our Lord, with his rules and hisstatutes.
31 Oltre a ciò venendo i Gentili i portare robbe da vendere, e qualunque sorta di merci ne' giorni di sabato, noi non ne compreremo da essi nel sabato, o in altro giorno santificato. E rispetteremo il settimo anno, e non esigeremo crediti di veruna sorta.	31 We will not give our daughters in marriage to the peoples of the country, nor allow their daughters tomarry our sons.
32 E avremo per legge di dare ogni anno la terza parte di un siclo per servigio della casa del nostro Dio,	32 If the people of the country bring goods or foodstuff of any kind to sel on the Sabbath day, we wilbuy nothing from them on Sabbath or holy day. In the seventh year, we wil forgo the produce of the soil and theexaction of al debts.
33 Pei pani della proposizione, pel sagrifizio perpetuo, pell'olocausto perpetuo de' sabati, delle calende, e delle feste solenni, pell'ostie pacifiche, e per lo peccato: affinchè Dio si plachi con Israele, e per tutte le bisogne della casa del nostro Dio.	33 We recognise the fol owing obligations: to give one-third of a shekel yearly for the service of theTemple of our God:
34 E parimente fissammo, tirando a sorte, la quantità delle legna, che dovean offerirsi da' Sacerdoti, da' Leviti, e dal popolo, ed essere portate alla casa del nostro Dio da ciascuna famiglia de' padri nostri anno per anno, affinchè bruciassero sull'altare del Signore Dio nostro, come nella legge di Mosè sta scritto.	34 for the loaves of permanent offering, for the perpetual oblation, for the perpetual burnt offering, forthe sacrifices on Sabbaths, on New Moons and on festivals, for the consecrated gifts, the sin offerings to expiatefor Israel, in short, for the whole work of the Temple of our God;
35 E promettemmo di portare ogni anno alla casa del nostro Dio le primizie della nostra terra, e le primizie di tutti i frutti d'ogni pianta:	35 Furthermore, as regards deliveries of wood for burning on the altar of our God as the law prescribes,we have arranged, by drawing lots, how these deliveries are to be made at the Temple of our God by the priests,the Levites and the people by families, at stated times every year.We wil no longer neglect the Temple of ourGod.
36 E i primogeniti de' nostri figliuoli e del nostro bestiame, conforme sta scritto nella legge, e i primogeniti de' nostri buoi, e delle nostre pecore, per offerirli nella casa del nostro Dio ai sacerdoti, che sono di funzione nella casa del nostro Dio.	36 and further, to bring yearly to the Temple of our God the first-fruits of our soil and the first-fruits of alour orchards,
37 E le primizie de' nostri cibi, e di quel, che beviamo: e porteremo ai sacerdoti nel tesoro del nostro Dio frutti di tutte le piante, e delle vigne, e degli uliveti, e la decima della nostra terra ai Leviti, gli stessi Leviti riceveranno in tutte le città la decima delle nostre fatiche.	37 also the first-born of our sons and of our cattle, as the law prescribes, the first-born of our herds andflocks should be taken to the Temple of our God for the priests officiating in the Temple of our God.
38 E i sacerdoti figliuoli d'Aarone avranno parte insieme co' Leviti alle decime de' Leviti; e i Leviti offriranno la decima parte della loro decima nella casa del nostro Dio, perchè sia depositata nella casa del tesoro.	38 Furthermore, we shall bring the best of our dough, of every kind of fruit, of the new wine and of the oilto the priests, to the storerooms of the Temple of our God, and the tithe on our soil to the Levites -- the Leviteswil themselves col ect the tithes from all the towns of our religion.
39 Perocché al tesoro porteranno i figliuoli d'Israele, e i figliuoli di Levi le primizie del grano, vino, ed olio: e ivi staranno i vasi santificati, e i sacerdoti, e cantori, e portinaj, e ministri; e noi non abbandoneremo la casa del nostro Dio.	39 An Aaronite priest wil accompany the Levites when they collect the tithes, and the Levites wil bringa tenth part
	40 a,b of the tithes to the Temple of our God, into the treasury storerooms; for these rooms are wherethe Israelites and the Levites are to bring the contributions of corn, wine and oil, and where the vessels of thesanctuary are, and the officiating priests, the gatekeepers and the singers.
