Zaccaria 12

BIBBIA TINTORI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Parola del Signore a carico d'Israele. Dice il Signore, che ha stesi i cieli e fondata la terra e ha formato lo spirito nell'interno dell'uomo:	1 A proclamation. The word of Yahweh about Israel (and also about Judah). Yahweh, who spread outthe heaven and founded the earth and formed the human spirit within, declares:
2 « Ecco io farò di Gerusalemme una soglia di ubriachezza per tutti i popoli circonvicini, e sarà lo stesso di Giuda quando sarà assediata Gerusalemme.	2 'Look, I shal make Jerusalem a cup to set al the surrounding peoples reeling. (That wil be at the timeof the siege of Jerusalem.)
3 Ecco quanto avverrà in quel giorno: io renderò Gerusalemme una pietra pesante per tutti i popoli, tutti quelli che la solleveranno saranno schiacciati, e si raduneranno contro di lei tutti i regni della terra.	3 'When that day comes, I shal make Jerusalem a stone too heavy for al the peoples to lift; al thosewho try to lift it will hurt themselves severely, although al the nations of the world wil be massed against her.
4 In quel giorno — dice il Signore — colpirò collo spavento tutti i cavalli, e colla follia i loro cavalieri; e terrò gli occhi aperti sopra la casa di Giuda, e colpirò colla cecità tutti i cavalli dei popoli.	4 When that day comes -- declares Yahweh -- I shall strike al the horses with panic and their riders withmadness. And I shal strike al the peoples with blindness. (But I shall keep watch over Judah.)
5 E i capi di Giuda diranno nel loro cuore: « Mi prendano vigore gli abitanti di Gerusalemme nel Signore degli eserciti loro Dio ».	5 Then the rulers of Judah will say to themselves, "The strength of the inhabitants of Jerusalem lies inYahweh Sabaoth their God."
6 In quel giorno, io farò che i capi di Giuda diventino come bracere ardente sotto la legna, e come fiaccola accesa nel fieno, e divoreranno a destra e a sinistra tutti i popoli circonvicini, e Gerusalemme sarà di nuovo abitata nel suo luogo, a Gerusalemme.	6 When that day comes, I shal make the rulers of Judah like a brazier burning in a pile of wood, like atorch flaming in a sheaf; and they wil devour al the peoples round them to right and left. And Jerusalem wil beful of people as before, where she stands (in Jerusalem).
7 Il Signore salverà le tende di Giuda come da principio, affinchè non si glorii troppo la casa di David, non s'insuperbiscano gli abitanti di Gerusalemme contro Giuda.	7 Yahweh wil first save the tents of Judah, so that the glory of the House of David and the glory of theinhabitants of Jerusalem do not increase at Judah's expense.
8 In quel giorno il Signore proteggerà gli abitanti di Gerusalemme; e chi tra loro sta male in piedi sarà in quel giorno come David, e la casa di David sarà come di Dio, come l'angelo di Dio davanti a loro.	8 When that day comes, Yahweh will protect the inhabitants of Jerusalem; and the frailest of them wil belike David when that day comes, and the House of David wil be like God, like the angel of Yahweh, at theirhead.
9 Ed io in quel giorno cercherò di distruggere tutte le genti che verranno contro Gerusalemme.	9 'When that day comes, I shal set about destroying all the nations who advance against Jerusalem.
10 E spanderò sopra la casa di David e sugli abitanti di Gerusalemme lo spirito della grazia e dell'orazione; ed essi rivolgeranno gli occhi a me che han trafitto, e faran duolo sopra di lui, come usa farsi sopra un figlio unico; lo piangeranno come si piange la morte d'un primogenito.	10 But over the House of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem I shall pour out a spirit of grace andprayer, and they wil look to me. They will mourn for the one whom they have pierced as though for an only child,and weep for him as people weep for a first-born child.
11 In quel giorno il pianto sarà grande in Gerusalemme, come il pianto d'Adadremmon nel piano di Mageddo.	11 When that day comes, the mourning in Jerusalem wil be as great as the mourning for HadadRimmon in the Plain of Megiddo.
12 E piangerà la terra, ciascuna famiglia a parte; le famiglie della casa di David a parte, e a parte le loro donne;	12 And the country wil mourn clan by clan: The clan of the House of David by itself, and their women bythemselves; the clan of the House of Nathan by itself, and their women by themselves;
13 le famiglie della casa di Natan a parte, e a parte le loro donne; le famiglie della casa di Levi a parte, e a parte le loro donne; le famiglie di Semei a parte, e a parte le loro donne: ne tutte le altre famiglie che restano, ciascuna di esse a parte, e a parte le loro donne ».	13 the clan of the House of Levi by itself, and their women by themselves; the clan of the House ofShimei by itself, and their women by themselves;
	14 al the rest of the clans, every clan by itself, and their women by themselves.'
