BIBBIA TINTORI	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Guai alla provocatrice, alla città redenta, alla colomba!	1 Woe to the provoking, and redeemed city, the dove.
2 Non è stata a sentir la voce, non ha accettati gli avvertimenti, non ha posta la sua fiducia nel Signore, non si è avvicinata al suo Dio.	2 She hath not hearkened to the voice, neither hath she received discipline: she hath not trusted in the Lord, she drew not near to her God.
3 I suoi principi sono in mezzo a lei come leoni ruggenti, i suoi giudici son lupi della sera, e non lascian niente pel giorno dopo.	3 Her princes are in the midst of her as roaring lions: her judges are evening wolves, they left nothing for the morning.
4 I suoi profeti sono degli esaltati, uomini infedeli, i suoi sacerdoti profanano le cose sante e violano la legge.	4 Her prophets are senseless men without faith: her priests have polluted the sanctuary, they have acted unjustly against the law.
5 Il Signore è giusto in mezzo ad essa, nulla farà d'ingiusto, ogni mattino pubblicherà il suo giudizio, che non resterà nascosto; ma l'iniquo non sa che sia vergognarsi.	5 The just Lord is in the midst thereof, he will not do iniquity: in the morning, in the morning he will bring his judgment to light, and it shall not be hid: but the wicked man hath not known shame.
6 Io ho sterminate le nazioni, ho distrutte le loro fortezze, ho rese deserte le loro vie, dove non è chi passi, le loro città son desolate, non rimanendovi uomo, nè abitatore.	6 I have destroyed the nations, and their towers are beaten down: I have made their ways desert, so that there is none that passeth by: their cities are desolate, there is not a man remaining, nor any inhabitant.
7 E io dissi: « Almeno tu mi temerai, accetterai gli avvertimenti, e la sua dimora non andrà distrutta per tutte quelle cose per le quali l'ho castigata; ma essi posero ogni loro cura nel render perversi tutti i loro pensieri.	7 I said: Surely thou wilt fear me, thou wilt receive correction: and her dwelling shall not perish, for all things wherein I have visited her: but they rose early and corrupted all their thoughts.
8 Per questo, aspettami — dice il Signore — nel giorno della mia resurrezione, in futuro; perchè ho deciso di radunare le nazioni e di riunir i regni per versare sopra di essi il mio sdegno, tutta l'ira mia furibonda: dal fuoco del mio zelo sarà divorata tutta la terra.	8 Wherefore expect me, saith the Lord, in the day of my resurrection that is to come, for my judgment is to assemble the Gentiles, and to gather the kingdoms: and to pour upon them my indignation, all my fierce anger: for with the fire of my jealousy shall all the earth be devoured.
9 Allora io donerò ai popoli dei labbri puri, affinchè tutti invochino il nome del Signore, e lo servano di comune accordo.	9 Because then I will restore to the people a chosen lip, that all may call upon the name of the Lord, and may serve him with one shoulder.
10 Dalle regioni oltre i fiumi dell'Etiopia verranno i miei adoratori, i figli dei miei dispersi mi portoran doni.	10 From beyond the rivers of Ethiopia, shall my suppliants the children of my dispersed people bring me an offering.
11 In quel giorno tu non avrai da arrossire per tutti i tuoi ritrovati coi quali hai prevaricato contro di me, perchè allora toglierò di mezzo a te quelli che magnificano la tua superbia, e per l'avvenire non t'esalterai più sopra la mia santa montagna.	11 In that day thou shalt not be ashamed for all thy doings, wherein thou hast transgressed against me: for then I will take away out of the midst of thee thy proud boasters, and thou shalt no more be lifted up because of my holy mountain.
12 Io lascerò in mezzo a te un popolo povero e bisognoso, ed essi spereranno nel nome del Signore.	12 And I will leave in the midst of thee a poor and needy people: and they shall hope in the name of the Lord.
13 Il resto d'Israele non commetterà iniquità, non dirà menzogne, non si troverà più nella sua bocca una lingua ingannatrice, perchè essi avran pascoli, e si riposeranno, e non ci sarà chi li spaventi.	13 The remnant of Israel shall not do iniquity, nor speak lies, nor shall a deceitful tongue be found in their mouth: for they shall feed, and shall lie down, and there shall be none to make them afraid.
14 Canta inni, o figlia di Sion, giubila, o Israele, rallegrati ed esulta di tutto cuore, o figlia di Gerusalemme:	14 Give praise, O daughter of Sion: shout, O Israel: be glad, and rejoice with all thy heart, O daughter of Jerusalem.
15 il Signore ha ritirato il decreto contro di te, ha allontanati i tuoi nemici: il re d'Israele, il Signore, sta in mezzo a te, e tu non avrai a temere più del male.	15 The Lord hath taken away thy judgment, he hath turned away thy enemies: the king of Israel the Lord is in the midst of thee, thou shalt fear evil no more.
16 In quel giorno si dirà a Gerusalemme: Non temere, o Sion, non ti caschin le braccia.	16 In that day it shall be said to Jerusalem: Fear not: to Sion: Let not thy hands be weakened.
17 Il Signore, il tuo Dio, è in mezzo a te, il forte, egli ti salverà. In te troverà la sua gioia, la sua allegrezza, starà silenzioso nel suo amore, esulterà in te in mezzo alle lodi.	17 The Lord thy God in the midst of thee is mighty, he will save: he will rejoice over thee with gladness, he will be silent in his love, he will be joyful over thee in praise.
18 I vani che si sono allontanati dalla legge li radunerò, perchè appartenevano a te, affinchè tu non abbia più da arrossire a causa di loro.	18 The triflers that were departed from the law, I will gather together, because they were of thee: that thou mayest no more suffer reproach for them.
19 Ecco che io farò morire in quel giorno tutti quelli che ti hanno afflitto, e salverò la zoppicante, e raccoglierò la scacciata, e li farò gloriosi e rinomati in tutte le terre della loro ignominia.	19 Behold I will cut off all that have afflicted thee at that time: and I will save her that halteth, and will gather her that was cast out: and I will get them praise, and a name, in all the land where they had been put to confusion.
20 In quel tempo vi farò tornare, in quel tempo vi radunerò; e vi farò rinomati e gloriosi presso tutti i popoli della terra, quando vi farò tornar dall'esilio davanti ai vostri occhi — dice il Signore ».	20 At that time, when I will bring you: and at the time that I will gather you: for I will give you a name, and praise among all the people of the earth, when I shall have brought back your captivity before your eyes, saith the Lord.
