| 2 - Ecco ch'io farò di Gerusalemme la soglia della vertigine per tutti i popoli circostanti; ma anche Giuda sarà nell'assedio contro Gerusalemme. | 2 "Lo, I am about to make Jerusalem a cup of reeling to all the peoples round about; it will be against Judah also in the siege against Jerusalem. |
| 3 E avverrà in quel giorno, ch'io renderò Gerusalemme una pietra d'aggravio per tutti i popoli: e tutti quelli che vorranno sollevarla resteranno lacerati dalle scalfitture; e contro di essa si raduneranno tutte le nazioni della terra. | 3 On that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples; all who lift it shall grievously hurt themselves. And all the nations of the earth will come together against it. |
| 4 In quel giorno, dice il Signore, percoterò di terrore tutti i cavalli e di sbalordimento i suoi cavalieri; e aprirò gli occhi miei sopra la casa di Giuda, e tutti i cavalli delle nazioni colpirò di cecità. | 4 On that day, says the LORD, I will strike every horse with panic, and its rider with madness. But upon the house of Judah I will open my eyes, when I strike every horse of the peoples with blindness. |
| 5 E i capi di Giuda diranno in cuor loro: "Si confortino gli abitanti di Gerusalemme nel Signore degli eserciti, nel loro Dio! ". | 5 Then the clans of Judah shall say to themselves, 'The inhabitants of Jerusalem have strength through the LORD of hosts, their God.' |
| 6 In quel giorno farò che i capi di Giuda siano come un braciere acceso fra legna, come una fiaccola accesa nel fieno; e divoreranno a destra e a sinistra tutti i popoli circostanti; e Gerusalemme sarà abitata di nuovo nel sito stesso dove Gerusalemme era. | 6 "On that day I will make the clans of Judah like a blazing pot in the midst of wood, like a flaming torch among sheaves; and they shall devour to the right and to the left all the peoples round about, while Jerusalem shall still be inhabited in its place, in Jerusalem. |
| 7 E il Signore salverà i tabernacoli di Giuda come da principio, affinchè la gloria della casa di David e la gloria di Gerusalemme non portino troppo vanto contro Giuda. | 7 "And the LORD will give victory to the tents of Judah first, that the glory of the house of David and the glory of the inhabitants of Jerusalem may not be exalted over that of Judah. |
| 8 In quel giorno il Signore proteggerà gli abitanti di Gerusalemme; e colui che vacilla sarà in quel giorno come David, e la casa di David sarà come di Dio, come l'angelo del Signore dinanzi a loro. | 8 On that day the LORD will put a shield about the inhabitants of Jerusalem so that the feeblest among them on that day shall be like David, and the house of David shall be like God, like the angel of the LORD, at their head. |
| 9 Sì, in quel giorno, prenderò a distruggere tutte le genti che vengono contro Gerusalemme. | 9 And on that day I will seek to destroy all the nations that come against Jerusalem. |
| 10 E spanderò sopra la casa di David e sopra gli abitanti di Gerusalemme uno spirito di grazia e di preghiere, e volgeranno lo sguardo a me, ch'essi hanno trafitto; e lo piangeranno, come suol piangersi un figliuolo; e faranno duolo per lui, come si suol fare in morte di un primogenito. | 10 "And I will pour out on the house of David and the inhabitants of Jerusalem a spirit of compassion and supplication, so that, when they look on him whom they have pierced, they shall mourn for him, as one mourns for an only child, and weep bitterly over him, as one weeps over a first-born. |
| 11 In quel giorno, vi sarà un gran pianto in Gerusalemme, come il pianto di Adadremmon nella pianura di Mageddo. | 11 On that day the mourning in Jerusalem will be as great as the mourning for Hadadrimmon in the plain of Megiddo. |
| 12 Tutta la terra piangerà e ciascuna famiglia a parte: le famiglie della casa di David a parte e a parte le donne loro: | 12 The land shall mourn, each family by itself; the family of the house of David by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the house of Nathan by itself, and their wives by themselves; |
| 13 le famiglie della casa di Natan a parte, e a parte le donne loro: le famiglie della casa di Levi a parte, e a parte le donne loro: le famiglie di Semei a parte, e a parte le donne loro: | 13 the family of the house of Levi by itself, and their wives by themselves; the family of the Shime-ites by itself, and their wives by themselves; |
| 14 tutte le altre famiglie ciascuna di esse a parte, e a parte le donne loro. | 14 and all the families that are left, each by itself, and their wives by themselves. |
