που απηλθεν ο αδελφιδος σου η καλη εν γυναιξιν που απεβλεψεν ο αδελφιδος σου και ζητησομεν αυτον μετα σου1 My beloved is gone down into his garden, to the bed of aromatical spices, to feed in the gardens, and to gather lilies.
αδελφιδος μου κατεβη εις κηπον αυτου εις φιαλας του αρωματος ποιμαινειν εν κηποις και συλλεγειν κρινα2 I to my beloved, and my beloved to me, who feedeth among the lilies.
εγω τω αδελφιδω μου και αδελφιδος μου εμοι ο ποιμαινων εν τοις κρινοις3 Thou art beautiful, O my love, sweet and comely as Jerusalem: terrible as an army set in array.
καλη ει η πλησιον μου ως ευδοκια ωραια ως ιερουσαλημ θαμβος ως τεταγμεναι4 Turn away thy eyes from me, for they have made me flee away. Thy hair is as a flock of goats, that appear from Galaad.
αποστρεψον οφθαλμους σου απεναντιον μου οτι αυτοι ανεπτερωσαν με τριχωμα σου ως αγελαι των αιγων αι ανεφανησαν απο του γαλααδ5 Thy teeth as a flock of sheep, which come up from the washing, all with twins, and there is none barren among them.
οδοντες σου ως αγελαι των κεκαρμενων αι ανεβησαν απο του λουτρου αι πασαι διδυμευουσαι και ατεκνουσα ουκ εστιν εν αυταις6 Thy cheeks are as the bark of a pomegranate, beside what is hidden within thee.
ως σπαρτιον το κοκκινον χειλη σου και η λαλια σου ωραια ως λεπυρον της ροας μηλον σου εκτος της σιωπησεως σου7 There are threescore queens, and fourscore concubines, and young maidens without number.
εξηκοντα εισιν βασιλισσαι και ογδοηκοντα παλλακαι και νεανιδες ων ουκ εστιν αριθμος8 One is my dove, my perfect one is but one, she is the only one of her mother, the chosen of her that bore her. The daughters saw her, and declared her most blessed: the queens and concubines, and they praised her.
μια εστιν περιστερα μου τελεια μου μια εστιν τη μητρι αυτης εκλεκτη εστιν τη τεκουση αυτης ειδοσαν αυτην θυγατερες και μακαριουσιν αυτην βασιλισσαι και παλλακαι και αινεσουσιν αυτην9 Who is she that cometh forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in array?
τις αυτη η εκκυπτουσα ωσει ορθρος καλη ως σεληνη εκλεκτη ως ο ηλιος θαμβος ως τεταγμεναι10 I went down into the garden of nuts, to see the fruits of the valleys, and to look if the vineyard had flourished, and the pomegranates budded.
εις κηπον καρυας κατεβην ιδειν εν γενημασιν του χειμαρρου ιδειν ει ηνθησεν η αμπελος εξηνθησαν αι ροαι εκει δωσω τους μαστους μου σοι11 I knew not: my soul troubled me for the chariots of Aminadab.
ουκ εγνω η ψυχη μου εθετο με αρματα αμιναδαβ12 Return, return, O Sulamitess : return, return that we may behold thee.
