Michea 7

BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ahimè! Sono diventato come uno spigolatore d’estate, come un racimolatore dopo la vendemmia! Non un grappolo da mangiare, non un fico per la mia voglia.	1 How wretched I am, a harvester in summer time, like a gleaner at the vintage: not a single cluster to eat,none of those early figs I love!
2 L’uomo pio è scomparso dalla terra, non c’è più un giusto fra gli uomini: tutti stanno in agguato per spargere sangue; ognuno con la rete dà la caccia al fratello.	2 The faithful have vanished from the land: there is no one honest left. Al of them are on the alert forblood, every man hunting his brother with a net.
3 Le loro mani sono pronte per il male: il principe avanza pretese, il giudice si lascia comprare, il grande manifesta la cupidigia, e così distorcono tutto.	3 Their hands are adept at wrong-doing: the official makes his demands, the judge gives judgement for abribe, the man in power pronounces as he pleases.
4 Il migliore di loro è come un rovo, il più retto una siepe di spine. Nel giorno predetto dalle tue sentinelle, il tuo castigo è giunto, adesso è il loro smarrimento.	4 The best of them is like a briar, the most honest of them like a thorn-hedge. Now from the north theirpunishment approaches! That wil be when they are confounded!
5 Non credete all’amico, non fidatevi del compagno. Custodisci le porte della tua bocca davanti a colei che riposa sul tuo petto.	5 Trust no neighbour, put no confidence in a friend; do not open your mouth to the wife who shares yourbed.
6 Il figlio insulta suo padre, la figlia si rivolta contro la madre, la nuora contro la suocera e i nemici dell’uomo sono quelli di casa sua.	6 For son insults father, daughter rebels against mother, daughter-in-law against mother-in-law; aperson's enemies come from within the household itself.
7 Ma io volgo lo sguardo al Signore, spero nel Dio della mia salvezza, il mio Dio mi esaudirà.	7 But I shall look to Yahweh, my hope is in the God who will save me; my God will hear me.
8 Non gioire di me, o mia nemica! Se sono caduta, mi rialzerò; se siedo nelle tenebre, il Signore sarà la mia luce.	8 Do not gloat over me, my enemy: though I have fal en, I shal rise; though I live in darkness, Yahweh ismy light.
9 Sopporterò lo sdegno del Signore perché ho peccato contro di lui, finché egli tratti la mia causa e ristabilisca il mio diritto, finché mi faccia uscire alla luce e io veda la sua giustizia.	9 I must endure Yahweh's anger for I have sinned against him, until he takes up my cause and rights mywrongs; he wil bring me out into the light, and then I shal contemplate his saving justice.
10 La mia nemica lo vedrà e sarà coperta di vergogna, lei che mi diceva: «Dov’è il Signore, tuo Dio?». I miei occhi gioiranno nel vederla: sarà calpestata come fango della strada.	10 When my enemy sees this, she wil be covered with shame, having sneered, 'Where is Yahweh yourGod?' This time, I shall be watching as she is trampled underfoot like mud in the streets.
11 È il giorno in cui le tue mura saranno riedificate; in quel giorno più ampi saranno i tuoi confini.	11 That wil be the day for rebuilding your walls! The day for expanding your frontiers!
12 In quel giorno si verrà a te dall’Assiria fino alle città dell’Egitto, dall’Egitto fino al Fiume, da mare a mare, da monte a monte.	12 The day when others come to you al the way from Assyria, from Egypt, from Tyre and al the way fromthe Euphrates, from sea to sea, from the mountains to the mountains!
13 La terra diventerà un deserto a causa dei suoi abitanti, per il frutto delle loro azioni.	13 The earth wil become a desert by reason of its inhabitants, in return for what they have done.
14 Pasci il tuo popolo con la tua verga, il gregge della tua eredità, che sta solitario nella foresta tra fertili campagne; pascolino in Basan e in Gàlaad come nei tempi antichi.	14 With shepherd's crook lead your people to pasture, the flock that is your heritage, living confined in aforest with meadow land al round. Let them graze in Bashan and Gilead as in the days of old!
15 Come quando sei uscito dalla terra d’Egitto, mostraci cose prodigiose.	15 As in the days when you came out of Egypt, grant us to see wonders!
16 Vedranno le genti e resteranno deluse di tutta la loro potenza. Si porranno la mano sulla bocca, i loro orecchi ne resteranno assorditi.	16 The nations wil see and be confounded in spite of al their power; they wil put their hands over theirmouths, their ears wil be deafened.
17 Leccheranno la polvere come il serpente, come i rettili della terra; usciranno tremanti dai loro nascondigli, trepideranno e di te avranno timore.	17 They wil lick the dust like snakes, like reptiles that crawl on the earth. They wil creep trembling out oftheir lairs, in terror before you.
18 Quale dio è come te, che toglie l’iniquità e perdona il peccato al resto della sua eredità? Egli non serba per sempre la sua ira, ma si compiace di manifestare il suo amore.	18 What god can compare with you for pardoning guilt and for overlooking crime? He does not harbouranger for ever, since he delights in showing faithful love.
19 Egli tornerà ad avere pietà di noi, calpesterà le nostre colpe. Tu getterai in fondo al mare tutti i nostri peccati.	19 Once more have pity on us, tread down our faults; throw al our sins to the bottom of the sea.
20 Conserverai a Giacobbe la tua fedeltà, ad Abramo il tuo amore, come hai giurato ai nostri padri fin dai tempi antichi.	20 Grant Jacob your faithfulness, and Abraham your faithful love, as you swore to our ancestors from thedays of long ago.
