1 L’ottavo giorno, Mosè convocò Aronne, i suoi figli e gli anziani d’Israele	1 Then, the eighth day having arrived, Moses called Aaron and his sons, and those greater by birth from Israel, and he said to Aaron:
2 e disse ad Aronne: «Procùrati un vitello per il sacrificio per il peccato e un ariete per l’olocausto, tutti e due senza difetto, e presentali davanti al Signore.	2 “Take a calf for sin from the herd, and a ram as a holocaust, both immaculate, and offer them in the sight of the Lord.
3 Agli Israeliti dirai: “Prendete un capro per il sacrificio per il peccato, un vitello e un agnello, tutti e due di un anno, senza difetto, per l’olocausto,	3 And to the sons of Israel, you shall say: ‘Take a he-goat for sin, and a calf as well as a lamb, both one-year-old and without blemish, as a holocaust.
4 un toro e un ariete per il sacrificio di comunione, da immolare davanti al Signore, e infine un’oblazione impastata con olio, perché oggi il Signore si manifesterà a voi”».	4 Take also an ox and a ram for peace offerings. And immolate them before the Lord, offering with the sacrifice of each one fine wheat flour sprinkled with oil. For today the Lord will appear to you.’ ”
5 Essi dunque condussero davanti alla tenda del convegno quanto Mosè aveva ordinato; tutta la comunità si avvicinò e restarono in piedi davanti al Signore.	5 And so they brought everything that Moses had ordered before the door of the tabernacle, where, when all the multitude stood together,
6 Mosè disse: «Ecco ciò che il Signore vi ha ordinato; fatelo e la gloria del Signore vi apparirà».	6 Moses said: “This is the word, which the Lord has instructed. Accomplish it, and his glory will appear to you.”
7 Mosè disse ad Aronne: «Avvicìnati all’altare: offri il tuo sacrificio per il peccato e il tuo olocausto e compi il rito espiatorio in favore tuo e in favore del popolo; presenta anche l’offerta del popolo e compi per esso il rito espiatorio, come il Signore ha ordinato».	7 And he said to Aaron: “Approach toward the altar, and immolate on behalf of your sin. Offer the holocaust, and pray for yourself and for the people. And when you have slain the victim for the people, pray for them, just as the Lord has instructed.”
8 Aronne dunque si avvicinò all’altare e scannò il vitello del sacrificio per il proprio peccato.	8 And immediately Aaron, approaching toward the altar, immolated the calf for his sin.
9 I suoi figli gli porsero il sangue ed egli vi intinse il dito, lo spalmò sui corni dell’altare e sparse il resto del sangue alla base dell’altare;	9 And his sons brought its blood to him, and dipping his finger in it, he touched the horns of the altar, and he poured out the remainder at its base.
10 ma il grasso, i reni e il lobo del fegato della vittima per il peccato li fece bruciare sopra l’altare, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.	10 And the fat, and the little kidneys, and the mesh of the liver, which are for sin, he burned upon the altar, just as the Lord had instructed Moses.
11 La carne e la pelle le bruciò nel fuoco fuori dell’accampamento.	11 Yet truly, the flesh and its skins he burned with fire beyond the camp.
12 Poi scannò l’olocausto; i figli di Aronne gli porsero il sangue ed egli lo sparse attorno all’altare.	12 He also immolated the victim of holocaust. And his sons brought its blood to him, which he poured out all around the altar.
13 Gli porsero anche la vittima dell’olocausto, divisa in pezzi, e la testa, e le fece bruciare sull’altare.	13 And when the victim itself was cut into pieces, they brought him the head and each of the limbs, all of which he burned with fire upon the altar,
14 Lavò le viscere e le zampe e le fece bruciare sull’olocausto sopra l’altare.	14 having first washed the intestines and the feet with water.
15 Poi presentò l’offerta del popolo. Prese il capro destinato al sacrificio per il peccato del popolo, lo scannò e lo offrì in sacrificio per il peccato, come il precedente.	15 And making an offering for the sin of the people, he slew the he-goat. And expiating the altar,
16 Quindi presentò l’olocausto e lo offrì secondo le prescrizioni stabilite.	16 he accomplished the holocaust,
17 Presentò quindi l’oblazione, ne prese una manciata piena e la fece bruciare sull’altare, oltre all’olocausto della mattina.	17 adding to it the sacrifice of the libations, which are to be offered together, and burning them upon the altar, separately from the ceremonies of the morning holocaust.
18 Scannò il toro e l’ariete in sacrificio di comunione per il popolo. I figli di Aronne gli porsero il sangue ed egli lo sparse attorno all’altare.	18 He also immolated the ox, as well as the ram, as peace offerings for the people. And his sons brought him the blood, which he poured out upon the altar all around.
19 Gli porsero le parti grasse del toro e dell’ariete, la coda, il grasso aderente alle viscere, i reni e il lobo del fegato:	19 Then the fat of the ox, and the rump of the ram, and the two little kidneys with their fat, and the mesh of the liver,
20 misero le parti grasse sui petti ed egli li fece bruciare sull’altare.	20 they placed upon the breasts. And when the fat had been burned upon the altar,
21 I petti e la coscia destra Aronne li presentò con il rito di elevazione davanti al Signore, come Mosè aveva ordinato.	21 Aaron separated their breasts and the right shoulders, lifting them up in the sight of the Lord, as Moses had instructed.
22 Aronne, alzate le mani verso il popolo, lo benedisse; poi discese, dopo aver compiuto il sacrificio per il peccato, l’olocausto e i sacrifici di comunione.	22 And extending his hands to the people, he blessed them. And so, the victims for sin, and the holocausts, and the peace offerings being completed, he descended.
23 Mosè e Aronne entrarono nella tenda del convegno; poi uscirono e benedissero il popolo e la gloria del Signore si manifestò a tutto il popolo.	23 Then Moses and Aaron entered the tabernacle of the testimony, and afterwards came out and blessed the people. And the glory of the Lord appeared to the entire multitude.
24 Un fuoco uscì dalla presenza del Signore e consumò sull’altare l’olocausto e le parti grasse; tutto il popolo vide, mandarono grida di esultanza e si prostrarono con la faccia a terra.	24 And, behold, a fire from the Lord devoured the holocaust, and the fat which was on the altar. When the crowd had seen this, they praised the Lord, falling on their faces.
