1 L’ottavo giorno, Mosè convocò Aronne, i suoi figli e gli anziani d’Israele	1 On the eighth day Moses summoned Aaron and his sons, together with the elders of Israel,
2 e disse ad Aronne: «Procùrati un vitello per il sacrificio per il peccato e un ariete per l’olocausto, tutti e due senza difetto, e presentali davanti al Signore.	2 and said to Aaron, "Take a calf for a sin offering and a ram for a holocaust, both without blemish, and offer them before the LORD.
3 Agli Israeliti dirai: “Prendete un capro per il sacrificio per il peccato, un vitello e un agnello, tutti e due di un anno, senza difetto, per l’olocausto,	3 Tell the elders of Israel, too: Take a he-goat for a sin offering, a calf and a lamb, both unblemished yearlings, for a holocaust,
4 un toro e un ariete per il sacrificio di comunione, da immolare davanti al Signore, e infine un’oblazione impastata con olio, perché oggi il Signore si manifesterà a voi”».	4 and an ox and a ram for a peace offering, to sacrifice them before the LORD, along with a cereal offering mixed with oil; for today the LORD will reveal himself to you."
5 Essi dunque condussero davanti alla tenda del convegno quanto Mosè aveva ordinato; tutta la comunità si avvicinò e restarono in piedi davanti al Signore.	5 So they brought what Moses had ordered. When the whole community had come forward and stood before the LORD,
6 Mosè disse: «Ecco ciò che il Signore vi ha ordinato; fatelo e la gloria del Signore vi apparirà».	6 Moses said, "This is what the LORD orders you to do, that the glory of the LORD may be revealed to you.
7 Mosè disse ad Aronne: «Avvicìnati all’altare: offri il tuo sacrificio per il peccato e il tuo olocausto e compi il rito espiatorio in favore tuo e in favore del popolo; presenta anche l’offerta del popolo e compi per esso il rito espiatorio, come il Signore ha ordinato».	7 Come up to the altar," Moses then told Aaron, "and offer your sin offering and your holocaust in atonement for yourself and for your family; then present the offering of the people in atonement for them, as the LORD has commanded."
8 Aronne dunque si avvicinò all’altare e scannò il vitello del sacrificio per il proprio peccato.	8 Going up to the altar, Aaron first slaughtered the calf that was his own sin offering.
9 I suoi figli gli porsero il sangue ed egli vi intinse il dito, lo spalmò sui corni dell’altare e sparse il resto del sangue alla base dell’altare;	9 When his sons presented the blood to him, he dipped his finger in the blood and put it on the horns of the altar. The rest of the blood he poured out at the base of the altar.
10 ma il grasso, i reni e il lobo del fegato della vittima per il peccato li fece bruciare sopra l’altare, come il Signore aveva ordinato a Mosè.	10 He then burned on the altar the fat, the kidneys and the lobe of the liver that were taken from the sin offering, as the LORD had commanded Moses;
11 La carne e la pelle le bruciò nel fuoco fuori dell’accampamento.	11 but the flesh and the hide he burned up in the fire outside the camp.
12 Poi scannò l’olocausto; i figli di Aronne gli porsero il sangue ed egli lo sparse attorno all’altare.	12 Then Aaron slaughtered his holocaust. When his sons brought him the blood, he splashed it on all sides of the altar.
13 Gli porsero anche la vittima dell’olocausto, divisa in pezzi, e la testa, e le fece bruciare sull’altare.	13 They then brought him the pieces and the head of the holocaust, and he burned them on the altar.
14 Lavò le viscere e le zampe e le fece bruciare sull’olocausto sopra l’altare.	14 Having washed the inner organs and the shanks, he burned these also with the holocaust on the altar.
15 Poi presentò l’offerta del popolo. Prese il capro destinato al sacrificio per il peccato del popolo, lo scannò e lo offrì in sacrificio per il peccato, come il precedente.	15 Thereupon he had the people's offering brought up. Taking the goat that was for the people's sin offering, he slaughtered it and offered it up for sin as before.
16 Quindi presentò l’olocausto e lo offrì secondo le prescrizioni stabilite.	16 Then he brought forward the holocaust, other than the morning holocaust, and offered it in the usual manner.
17 Presentò quindi l’oblazione, ne prese una manciata piena e la fece bruciare sull’altare, oltre all’olocausto della mattina.	17 He then presented the cereal offering; taking a handful of it, he burned it on the altar.
18 Scannò il toro e l’ariete in sacrificio di comunione per il popolo. I figli di Aronne gli porsero il sangue ed egli lo sparse attorno all’altare.	18 Finally he slaughtered the ox and the ram, the peace offering of the people. When his sons brought him the blood, Aaron splashed it on all sides of the altar.
19 Gli porsero le parti grasse del toro e dell’ariete, la coda, il grasso aderente alle viscere, i reni e il lobo del fegato:	19 The portions of fat from the ox and from the ram, the fatty tail, the fatty membrane over the inner organs, the two kidneys, with the fat that is on them, and the lobe of the liver,
20 misero le parti grasse sui petti ed egli li fece bruciare sull’altare.	20 he placed on top of the breasts and burned them on the altar,
21 I petti e la coscia destra Aronne li presentò con il rito di elevazione davanti al Signore, come Mosè aveva ordinato.	21 having first waved the breasts and the right legs as a wave offering before the LORD, in keeping with the LORD'S command to Moses.
22 Aronne, alzate le mani verso il popolo, lo benedisse; poi discese, dopo aver compiuto il sacrificio per il peccato, l’olocausto e i sacrifici di comunione.	22 Aaron then raised his hands over the people and blessed them. When he came down from offering the sin offering and holocaust and peace offering,
23 Mosè e Aronne entrarono nella tenda del convegno; poi uscirono e benedissero il popolo e la gloria del Signore si manifestò a tutto il popolo.	23 Moses and Aaron went into the meeting tent. On coming out they again blessed the people. Then the glory of the LORD was revealed to all the people.
24 Un fuoco uscì dalla presenza del Signore e consumò sull’altare l’olocausto e le parti grasse; tutto il popolo vide, mandarono grida di esultanza e si prostrarono con la faccia a terra.	24 Fire came forth from the LORD'S presence and consumed the holocaust and the remnants of the fat on the altar. Seeing this, all the people cried out and fell prostrate.
