BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Il Signore disse a Mosè: «Ora vedrai quello che sto per fare al faraone: con mano potente li lascerà andare, anzi con mano potente li scaccerà dalla sua terra!».	1 Yahweh then said to Moses, 'Now you wil see what I am going to do to Pharaoh. A mighty hand wilforce him to let them go, a mighty hand will force him to expel them from his country.'
2 Dio parlò a Mosè e gli disse: «Io sono il Signore!	2 God spoke to Moses and said to him, 'I am Yahweh.
3 Mi sono manifestato ad Abramo, a Isacco, a Giacobbe come Dio l’Onnipotente, ma non ho fatto conoscere loro il mio nome di Signore.	3 To Abraham, Isaac and Jacob I appeared as El Shaddai, but I did not make my name Yahweh known tothem.
4 Ho anche stabilito la mia alleanza con loro, per dar loro la terra di Canaan, la terra delle loro migrazioni, nella quale furono forestieri.	4 I also made my covenant with them to give them the land of Canaan, the country in which they wereliving as aliens.
5 Io stesso ho udito il lamento degli Israeliti, che gli Egiziani resero loro schiavi, e mi sono ricordato della mia alleanza.	5 Furthermore, I have heard the groaning of the Israelites, enslaved by the Egyptians, and haveremembered my covenant.
6 Pertanto di’ agli Israeliti: “Io sono il Signore! Vi sottrarrò ai lavori forzati degli Egiziani, vi libererò dalla loro schiavitù e vi riscatterò con braccio teso e con grandi castighi.	6 So say to the Israelites, "I am Yahweh. I shall free you from the forced labour of the Egyptians; I shalrescue you from their slavery and I shal redeem you with outstretched arm and mighty acts of judgement.
7 Vi prenderò come mio popolo e diventerò il vostro Dio. Saprete che io sono il Signore, il vostro Dio, che vi sottrae ai lavori forzati degli Egiziani.	7 I shall take you as my people and I shal be your God. And you wil know that I am Yahweh your God,who have freed you from the forced labour of the Egyptians.
8 Vi farò entrare nella terra che ho giurato a mano alzata di dare ad Abramo, a Isacco e a Giacobbe; ve la darò in possesso: io sono il Signore!”».	8 Then I shal lead you into the country which I swore I would give to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, andshall give it to you as your heritage, I, Yahweh." '
9 Mosè parlò così agli Israeliti, ma essi non lo ascoltarono, perché erano stremati dalla dura schiavitù.	9 And Moses repeated this to the Israelites, but they would not listen to Moses, so crushed was their spiritand so cruel their slavery.
10 Il Signore disse a Mosè:	10 Yahweh then said to Moses,
11 «Va’ e parla al faraone, re d’Egitto, perché lasci partire dalla sua terra gli Israeliti!».	11 'Go to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, and tel him to let the Israelites leave his country.'
12 Mosè disse alla presenza del Signore: «Ecco, gli Israeliti non mi hanno ascoltato: come vorrà ascoltarmi il faraone, mentre io ho le labbra incirconcise?».	12 But Moses spoke out in Yahweh's presence and said, 'The Israelites have not listened to me, so whyshould Pharaoh take any notice of a poor speaker like me?'
13 Il Signore parlò a Mosè e ad Aronne e diede loro ordini per gli Israeliti e per il faraone, re d’Egitto, allo scopo di far uscire gli Israeliti dalla terra d’Egitto.	13 Yahweh spoke to Moses and Aaron and sent them to Pharaoh king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites outof Egypt.
14 Questi sono i capi dei loro casati. Figli di Ruben, primogenito d’Israele: Enoc, Pallu, Chesron e Carmì; queste sono le famiglie di Ruben.	14 These were their heads of families: The sons of Reuben, Israel's first-born: Hanoch, Pal u, Hezron andCarmi: these are the clans of Reuben.
15 Figli di Simeone: Iemuèl, Iamin, Oad, Iachin, Socar e Saul, figlio della Cananea; queste sono le famiglie di Simeone.	15 The sons of Simeon: Jemuel, Jamin, Ohad, Jachin, Zohar, and Shaul son of the Canaanite woman:these are the clans of Simeon.
16 Questi sono i nomi dei figli di Levi secondo le loro generazioni: Gherson, Keat, Merarì. Gli anni della vita di Levi furono centotrentasette.	16 These were the names of the sons of Levi with their descendants: Gershon, Kohath and Merari. Levilived for a hundred and thirty-seven years.
17 Figli di Gherson: Libnì e Simei, ordinati secondo le loro famiglie.	17 The sons of Gershon: Libni and Shimei, with their clans.
18 Figli di Keat: Amram, Isar, Ebron e Uzzièl. Gli anni della vita di Keat furono centotrentatré.	18 The sons of Kohath: Amram, Izhar, Hebron and Uzziel. Kohath lived for a hundred and thirty-threeyears.
19 Figli di Merarì: Maclì e Musì; queste sono le famiglie di Levi secondo le loro generazioni.	19 The sons of Merari: Mahli and Mushi. These are the clans of Levi with their descendants.
20 Amram prese in moglie Iochebed, sua zia, la quale gli partorì Aronne e Mosè. Gli anni della vita di Amram furono centotrentasette.	20 Amram married Jochebed, his aunt, who bore him Aaron and Moses. Amram lived for a hundred andthirty-seven years.
21 Figli di Isar: Core, Nefeg e Zicrì.	21 The sons of Izhar were: Korah, Nepheg and Zichri.
22 Figli di Uzzièl: Misaele, Elsafàn, Sitrì.	22 And the sons of Uzziel: Mishael, Elzaphan and Sithri.
23 Aronne prese in moglie Elisabetta, figlia di Amminadàb, sorella di Nacson, dalla quale ebbe i figli Nadab, Abiu, Eleàzaro e Itamàr.	23 Aaron married Elisheba daughter of Amminadab and sister of Nahshon, and she bore him Nadab,Abihu, Eleazar and Ithamar.
24 Figli di Core: Assir, Elkanà e Abiasàf; queste sono le famiglie dei Coriti.	24 The sons of Korah: Assir, Elkanah and Abiasaph. These are the clans of the Korahites.
25 Eleàzaro, figlio di Aronne, prese in moglie una figlia di Putièl, la quale gli partorì Fineès. Questi sono i capi delle casate dei leviti, ordinati secondo le loro famiglie.	25 Eleazar, son of Aaron, married one of Putiel's daughters who bore him Phinehas. These were theLevitical heads of families, according to clan.
26 Sono questi quell’Aronne e quel Mosè ai quali il Signore disse: «Fate uscire dalla terra d’Egitto gli Israeliti, secondo le loro schiere!».	26 It was to this Aaron and Moses that Yahweh said, 'Lead the Israelites out of Egypt in their armies.'
27 Questi dissero al faraone, re d’Egitto, di lasciar uscire dall’Egitto gli Israeliti: sono Mosè e Aronne.	27 It was they who spoke to Pharaoh, king of Egypt, to lead the Israelites out of Egypt -- namely Mosesand Aaron.
28 Questo avvenne quando il Signore parlò a Mosè nella terra d’Egitto:	28 Now the day when Yahweh spoke to Moses in Egypt,
29 il Signore disse a Mosè: «Io sono il Signore! Riferisci al faraone, re d’Egitto, quanto io ti dico».	29 Yahweh said to Moses, 'Tell Pharaoh king of Egypt everything that I am going to say to you.'
30 Mosè disse alla presenza del Signore: «Ecco, ho le labbra incirconcise e come vorrà ascoltarmi il faraone?».	30 But Moses said to Yahweh's face, 'I am a poor speaker, so why should Pharaoh take any notice ofme?'
