| 2 «Vedi, ho chiamato per nome Besalèl, figlio di Urì, figlio di Cur, della tribù di Giuda. | 2 "See, I have called by name Bezalel the son of Uri, son of Hur, of the tribe of Judah: |
| 3 L’ho riempito dello spirito di Dio, perché abbia saggezza, intelligenza e scienza in ogni genere di lavoro, | 3 and I have filled him with the Spirit of God, with ability and intelligence, with knowledge and all craftsmanship, |
| 4 per ideare progetti da realizzare in oro, argento e bronzo, | 4 to devise artistic designs, to work in gold, silver, and bronze, |
| 5 per intagliare le pietre da incastonare, per scolpire il legno ed eseguire ogni sorta di lavoro. | 5 in cutting stones for setting, and in carving wood, for work in every craft. |
| 6 Ed ecco, gli ho dato per compagno Ooliàb, figlio di Achisamàc, della tribù di Dan. Inoltre nel cuore di ogni artista ho infuso saggezza, perché possano eseguire quanto ti ho comandato: | 6 And behold, I have appointed with him Oholiab, the son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan; and I have given to all able men ability, that they may make all that I have commanded you: |
| 7 la tenda del convegno, l’arca della Testimonianza, il propiziatorio sopra di essa e tutti gli accessori della tenda; | 7 the tent of meeting, and the ark of the testimony, and the mercy seat that is thereon, and all the furnishings of the tent, |
| 8 la tavola con i suoi accessori, il candelabro puro con i suoi accessori, l’altare dell’incenso | 8 the table and its utensils, and the pure lampstand with all its utensils, and the altar of incense, |
| 9 e l’altare degli olocausti con tutti i suoi accessori, il bacino con il suo piedistallo; | 9 and the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils, and the laver and its base, |
| 10 le vesti ornamentali, le vesti sacre del sacerdote Aronne e le vesti dei suoi figli per esercitare il sacerdozio; | 10 and the finely worked garments, the holy garments for Aaron the priest and the garments of his sons, for their service as priests, |
11 l’olio dell’unzione e l’incenso aromatico per il santuario. Essi eseguiranno quanto ti ho ordinato».
| 11 and the anointing oil and the fragrant incense for the holy place. According to all that I have commanded you they shall do." |
| 12 Il Signore disse a Mosè: | 12 And the LORD said to Moses, |
| 13 «Tu ora parla agli Israeliti e riferisci loro: “Osserverete attentamente i miei sabati, perché il sabato è un segno tra me e voi, di generazione in generazione, perché si sappia che io sono il Signore che vi santifica. | 13 "Say to the people of Israel, 'You shall keep my sabbaths, for this is a sign between me and you throughout your generations, that you may know that I, the LORD, sanctify you. |
| 14 Osserverete dunque il sabato, perché per voi è santo. Chi lo profanerà sia messo a morte; chiunque in quel giorno farà qualche lavoro, sia eliminato dal suo popolo. | 14 You shall keep the sabbath, because it is holy for you; every one who profanes it shall be put to death; whoever does any work on it, that soul shall be cut off from among his people. |
| 15 Per sei giorni si lavori, ma il settimo giorno vi sarà riposo assoluto, sacro al Signore. Chiunque farà un lavoro in giorno di sabato sia messo a morte. | 15 Six days shall work be done, but the seventh day is a sabbath of solemn rest, holy to the LORD; whoever does any work on the sabbath day shall be put to death. |
| 16 Gli Israeliti osserveranno il sabato, festeggiando il sabato nelle loro generazioni come un’alleanza perenne. | 16 Therefore the people of Israel shall keep the sabbath, observing the sabbath throughout their generations, as a perpetual covenant. |
17 Esso è un segno perenne fra me e gli Israeliti: infatti il Signore in sei giorni ha fatto il cielo e la terra, ma nel settimo ha cessato e ha preso respiro”».
| 17 It is a sign for ever between me and the people of Israel that in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, and on the seventh day he rested, and was refreshed.'" |
18 Quando il Signore ebbe finito di parlare con Mosè sul monte Sinai, gli diede le due tavole della Testimonianza, tavole di pietra, scritte dal dito di Dio.
| 18 And he gave to Moses, when he had made an end of speaking with him upon Mount Sinai, the two tables of the testimony, tables of stone, written with the finger of God. |
