1 Ecco che il Signore spacca la terra, la squarcia e ne sconvolge la superficie e ne disperde gli abitanti.	1 See how Yahweh lays the earth waste, makes it a desert, buckles its surface, scatters its inhabitants,
2 Avverrà lo stesso al popolo come al sacerdote, allo schiavo come al suo padrone, alla schiava come alla sua padrona, al compratore come al venditore, al creditore come al debitore, a chi riceve come a chi da' in prestito.	2 priest and people alike, master and slave, mistress and maid, seller and buyer, lender and borrower,creditor and debtor.
3 Sarà tutta spaccata la terra sarà tutta saccheggiata, perché il Signore ha pronunziato questa parola.	3 Ravaged, ravaged the earth wil be, despoiled, despoiled, for Yahweh has uttered this word.
