BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Del maestro de coro... Yedutún. De Asaf. Salmo.	1 [For the choirmaster . . . Jeduthun Of Asaph Psalm] I cry to God in distress, I cry to God and he hearsme.
2 Mi voz hacia Dios: yo clamo, mi voz hacia Dios: él me escucha.	2 In the day of my distress I sought the Lord; al night I tirelessly stretched out my hands, my heartrefused to be consoled.
3 En el día de mi angustia voy buscando al Señor, por la noche tiendo mi mano sin descanso, mi alma el consuelo rehúsa.	3 I sigh as I think of God, my spirit faints away as I ponder on him. Pause
4 De Dios me acuerdo y gimo, medito, y mi espíritu desmaya. Pausa.	4 You kept me from closing my eyes, I was too distraught to speak;
5 Los párpados de mis ojos tú retienes, turbado estoy, no puedo hablar;	5 I thought of former times, years long past
6 pienso en los días de antaño, de los años antiguos	6 I recalled; through the night I ponder in my heart, as I reflect, my spirit asks this question:
7 me acuerdo; en mi corazón musito por la noche, medito y mi espíritu inquiere:	7 Is the Lord's rejection final? Will he never show favour again?
8 ¿Acaso por los siglos desechará el Señor, no volverá a ser propicio?	8 Is his faithful love gone for ever? Has his Word come to an end for al time?
9 ¿Se ha agotado para siempre su amor? ¿Se acabó la Palabra para todas las edades?	9 Does God forget to show mercy? In anger does he shut off his tenderness?Pause
10 ¿Se habrá olvidado Dios de ser clemente, o habrá cerrado de ira sus entrañas? Pausa.	10 And I said, 'This is what wounds me, the right hand of the Most High has lost its strength.'
11 Y digo: «Este es mi penar: que se ha cambiado la diestra del Altísimo».	11 Remembering Yahweh's great deeds, remembering your wonders in the past,
12 Me acuerdo de las gestas de Yahveh, sí, recuerdo tus antiguas maravillas,	12 I reflect on al that you did, I ponder all your great deeds.
13 medito en toda tu obra, en tus hazañas reflexiono.	13 God, your ways are holy! What god is as great as our God?
14 ¡Oh Dios, santos son tus caminos! ¿Qué dios hay grande como Dios?	14 You are the God who does marvel ous deeds, brought nations to acknowledge your power,
15 Tú, el Dios que obras maravillas, manifestate tu poder entre los pueblos;	15 with your own arm redeeming your people, the children of Jacob and Joseph.Pause
16 con tu brazo a tu pueblo rescataste, a los hijos de Jacob y de José. Pausa.	16 When the waters saw you, God, when the waters saw you they writhed in anguish, the very depthsshook with fear.
17 Viéronte, oh Dios, las aguas, las aguas te vieron y temblaron, también se estremecieron los abismos.	17 The clouds pelted down water, the sky thundered, your arrows shot back and forth.
18 Las nubes derramaron sus aguas, su voz tronaron los nublados, también cruzaban tus saetas.	18 The rol ing of your thunder was heard, your lightning-flashes lit up the world, the earth shuddered andshook.
19 ¡Voz de tu trueno en torbellino! Tus relámpagos alumbraban el orbe, la tierra se estremecía y retemblaba.	19 Your way led over the sea, your path over the countless waters, and none could trace your footsteps.
20 Por el mar iba tu camino, por las muchas aguas tu sendero, y no se descubrieron tus pisadas.	20 You guided your people like a flock by the hand of Moses and Aaron.
21 Tú guiaste a tu pueblo cual rebaño por la mano de Moisés y de Aarón.
