1 שיר מזמור לבני קרח גדול יהוה ומהלל מאד בעיר אלהינו הר קדשו	1 [Song Psalm Of the sons of Korah] Great is Yahweh and most worthy of praise in the city of our God,the holy mountain,
2 יפה נוף משוש כל הארץ הר ציון ירכתי צפון קרית מלך רב	2 towering in beauty, the joy of the whole world: Mount Zion in the heart of the north, the settlement ofthe great king;
3 אלהים בארמנותיה נודע למשגב	3 God himself among its palaces has proved himself its bulwark.
4 כי הנה המלכים נועדו עברו יחדו	4 For look, kings made al iance, together they advanced;
5 המה ראו כן תמהו נבהלו נחפזו	5 without a second glance, when they saw, they panicked and fled away.
6 רעדה אחזתם שם חיל כיולדה	6 Trembling seized them on the spot, pains like those of a woman in labour;
7 ברוח קדים תשבר אניות תרשיש	7 it was the east wind, that wrecker of ships from Tarshish.
8 כאשר שמענו כן ראינו בעיר יהוה צבאות בעיר אלהינו אלהים יכוננה עד עולם סלה	8 What we had heard we saw for ourselves in the city of our God, in the city of Yahweh Sabaoth, whichGod has established for ever.Pause
9 דמינו אלהים חסדך בקרב היכלך	9 We reflect on your faithful love, God, in your temple!
10 כשמך אלהים כן תהלתך על קצוי ארץ צדק מלאה ימינך	10 Both your name and your praise, God, are over the whole wide world. Your right hand is ful of savingjustice,
11 ישמח הר ציון תגלנה בנות יהודה למען משפטיך	11 Mount Zion rejoices, the daughters of Judah delight because of your saving justice.
12 סבו ציון והקיפוה ספרו מגדליה	12 Go round Zion, walk right through her, count her bastions,
13 שיתו לבכם לחילה פסגו ארמנותיה למען תספרו לדור אחרון	13 admire her walls, examine her palaces, to tel future generations
14 כי זה אלהים אלהינו עולם ועד הוא ינהגנו על מות	14 that such is God; our God for ever and ever, he is our guide!
