1 Il Signore chiamò Mosè, gli parlò dalla tenda del convegno e disse:	1 Yahweh summoned Moses and, speaking to him from the Tent of Meeting, said,
2 «Parla agli Israeliti dicendo: “Quando uno di voi vorrà presentare come offerta in onore del Signore un animale scelto fra il bestiame domestico, offrirete un capo di bestiame grosso o minuto.	2 'Speak to the Israelites; say to them, "When any of you brings an offering to Yahweh, he can offer ananimal either from the herd or from the flock.
3 Se la sua offerta è un olocausto di bestiame grosso, egli offrirà un maschio senza difetto; l’offrirà all’ingresso della tenda del convegno, perché sia accetto al Signore in suo favore.	3 "If his offering is to be a burnt offering from the herd, he must offer an unblemished male; he wil offer itat the entrance to the Tent of Meeting, to make it acceptable to Yahweh.
4 Poserà la mano sulla testa della vittima, che sarà accettata in suo favore per compiere il rito espiatorio per lui.	4 He must lay his hand on the victim's head, and it will be accepted as effectual for his expiation.
5 Poi scannerà il giovenco davanti al Signore, e i figli di Aronne, i sacerdoti, offriranno il sangue e lo spargeranno intorno all’altare che è all’ingresso della tenda del convegno.	5 He wil then slaughter the bul before Yahweh, and the priests descended from Aaron wil offer theblood. They wil pour it all around the altar which stands at the entrance to the Tent of Meeting.
6 Scorticherà la vittima e la taglierà a pezzi.	6 He wil then skin the victim and quarter it.
7 I figli del sacerdote Aronne porranno il fuoco sull’altare e metteranno la legna sul fuoco;	7 The priests descended from Aaron will put a fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.
8 poi i figli di Aronne, i sacerdoti, disporranno i pezzi, la testa e il grasso sulla legna e sul fuoco che è sull’altare.	8 The priests descended from Aaron will then arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood onthe fire on the altar.
9 Laverà con acqua le viscere e le zampe; poi il sacerdote brucerà il tutto sull’altare come olocausto, sacrificio consumato dal fuoco, profumo gradito in onore del Signore.	9 He wil wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it all on the altar as a burnt offering,food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.
10 Se la sua offerta per l’olocausto è presa dal bestiame minuto, tra le pecore o tra le capre, egli offrirà un maschio senza difetto.	10 "If his offering is to be of an animal from the flock, of a lamb or a goat to be offered as a burnt offering,he must offer an unblemished male.
11 Lo scannerà al lato settentrionale dell’altare, davanti al Signore. I figli di Aronne, i sacerdoti, spargeranno il sangue attorno all’altare.	11 He will slaughter it on the north side of the altar, before Yahweh, and the priests descended fromAaron will pour the blood al around the altar.
12 Lo taglierà a pezzi, con la testa e il grasso, e il sacerdote li disporrà sulla legna, collocata sul fuoco dell’altare.	12 He will then quarter it, and the priest wil arrange the quarters, the head and the fat on the wood on thefire on the altar.
13 Laverà con acqua le viscere e le zampe; poi il sacerdote offrirà il tutto e lo brucerà sull’altare: è un olocausto, sacrificio consumato dal fuoco, profumo gradito in onore del Signore.	13 He will wash the entrails and shins in water, and the priest wil burn it al on the altar as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing to Yahweh.
14 Se la sua offerta in onore del Signore è un olocausto di uccelli, presenterà tortore o colombi.	14 "If his offering to Yahweh is to be a burnt offering of a bird, he must offer a turtledove or a youngpigeon.
15 Il sacerdote presenterà l’animale all’altare, ne staccherà la testa, la farà bruciare sull’altare e il sangue sarà spruzzato sulla parete dell’altare.	15 The priest wil offer it at the altar and wring off its head, which he wil burn on the altar; its blood mustthen be squeezed out on the side of the altar.
16 Poi toglierà il gozzo con il suo sudiciume e lo getterà al lato orientale dell’altare, dov’è il luogo delle ceneri.	16 He will then remove the crop and the feathers and throw them on the eastern side of the altar, wherethe fatty ashes are put.
17 Dividerà l’uccello in due metà prendendolo per le ali, ma senza staccarle, e il sacerdote lo brucerà sull’altare, sulla legna che è sul fuoco. È un olocausto, sacrificio consumato dal fuoco, profumo gradito in onore del Signore.	17 He will then split it in half with a wing on each side, but without separating the two parts. The priest wilthen burn it on the altar, on the wood which is on the fire, as a burnt offering, food burnt as a smel pleasing toYahweh." '
