2 si Yahveh no hubiera estado por nosotros, cuando contra nosotros se alzaron los hombres,	2 in Jerusalem. Mountains surround it. And the Lord surrounds his people, from this time forward and even forever.
3 vivos entonces nos habrían tragado en el fuego de su cólera.	3 For the Lord will not allow the rod of sinners to remain over the lot of the just, so that the just may not extend their hands toward iniquity.
4 Entonces las aguas nos habrían anegado, habría pasado sobre nosotros un torrente,	4 Do good, O Lord, to the good and to the upright of heart.
5 habrían pasado entonces sobre nuestra alma aguas voraginosas.	5 But those who turn away into obligation, the Lord will lead away with the workers of iniquity. Peace be upon Israel.
6 ¡Bendito sea Yahveh que no nos hizo presa de sus dientes!
7 Nuestra alma como un pájaro escapó del lazo de los cazadores. El lazo se rompió y nosotros escapamos;
8 nuestro socorro en el nombre de Yahveh, que hizo el cielo y la tierra.
