Apocalisse 19

NOVA VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Post haec audivi quasi vo cem magnam turbae multae in caelo dicentium: “ Alleluia! Salus et gloria et virtus Deo nostro,	1 After this I heard what seemed to be the great sound of a huge crowd in heaven, singing, 'Al eluia!Salvation and glory and power to our God!
2 quia vera et iusta iudicia eius; quia iudicavit de meretrice magna, quae corrupit terram in prostitutione sua, etvindicavit sanguinem servorum suorum de manibus eius! ”.	2 He judges fairly, he punishes justly, and he has condemned the great prostitute who corrupted theearth with her prostitution; he has avenged the blood of his servants which she shed.'
3 Et iterum dixerunt: “ Alleluia! Et fumus eius ascendit in saeculasaeculorum! ”.	3 And again they sang, 'Alleluia! The smoke of her wil rise for ever and ever.'
4 Et ceciderunt seniores viginti quattuor et quattuor animalia et adoraveruntDeum sedentem super thronum dicentes: “ Amen. Alleluia ”.	4 Then the twenty-four elders and the four living creatures threw themselves down and worshipped Godseated on his throne, and they cried, 'Amen, Alleluia.'
5 Et vox de throno exivit dicens: “ Laudem dicite Deo nostro, omnes servi eius et qui timetis eum, pusilli et magni! ”.	5 Then a voice came from the throne; it said, 'Praise our God, you servants of his and those who fearhim, smal and great alike.'
6 Et audivi quasi vocem turbae magnae et sicut vocem aquarum multarum et sicutvocem tonitruum magnorum dicentium: “ Alleluia, quoniam regnavit Dominus, Deus noster omnipotens.	6 And I heard what seemed to be the voices of a huge crowd, like the sound of the ocean or the greatroar of thunder, answering, 'Alleluia! The reign of the Lord our God Almighty has begun;
7 Gaudeamus et exsultemus et demus gloriam ei, quia venerunt nuptiae Agni, et uxor eius praeparavit se.	7 let us be glad and joyful and give glory to God, because this is the time for the marriage of the Lamb.
8 Et datum est illi, ut cooperiat se byssino splendenti mundo: byssinum enimiustificationes sunt sanctorum ”.	8 His bride is ready, and she has been able to dress herself in dazzling white linen, because her linen ismade of the good deeds of the saints.'
9 Et dicit mihi: “ Scribe: Beati, qui ad cenam nuptiarum Agni vocati sunt! ”.Et dicit mihi: “ Haec verba Dei vera sunt ”.	9 The angel said, 'Write this, "Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding feast of the Lamb," ' andhe added, 'These words of God are true.'
10 Et cecidi ante pedes eius,ut adorarem eum. Et dicit mihi: “ Vide, ne feceris! Conservus tuus sum etfratrum tuorum habentium testimonium Iesu. Deum adora. Testimonium enim Iesu estspiritus prophetiae ”.	10 Then I knelt at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, 'Never do that: I am your fellow-servant andthe fellow-servant of al your brothers who have in themselves the witness of Jesus. God alone you mustworship.' The witness of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.
11 Et vidi caelum apertum: et ecce equus albus; et, qui sedebat super eum,vocabatur Fidelis et Verax, et in iustitia iudicat et pugnat.	11 And now I saw heaven open, and a white horse appear; its rider was cal ed Trustworthy and True; inuprightness he judges and makes war.
12 Oculi autem eius sicut flamma ignis, et in capite eius diademata multa,habens nomen scriptum, quod nemo novit nisi ipse;	12 His eyes were flames of fire, and he was crowned with many coronets; the name written on him wasknown only to himself,
13 et vestitus veste aspersasanguine, et vocatur nomen eius Verbum Dei.	13 his cloak was soaked in blood. He is known by the name, The Word of God.
14 Et exercitus, qui sunt in caelo,sequebantur eum in equis albis, vestiti byssino albo mundo.	14 Behind him, dressed in linen of dazzling white, rode the armies of heaven on white horses.
15 Et de ore ipsiusprocedit gladius acutus, ut in ipso percutiat gentes, et ipse reget eos in virgaferrea; et ipse calcat torcular vini furoris irae Dei omnipotentis.	15 From his mouth came a sharp sword with which to strike the unbelievers; he is the one who wil rulethem with an iron sceptre, and tread out the wine of Almighty God's fierce retribution.
16 Et habetsuper vestimentum et super femur suum nomen scriptum: Rex regum et Dominusdominorum.	16 On his cloak and on his thigh a name was written: King of kings and Lord of lords.
17 Et vidi unum angelum stantem in sole, et clamavit voce magna dicens omnibusavibus, quae volabant per medium caeli: “Venite, congregamini ad cenam magnamDei,	17 I saw an angel standing in the sun, and he shouted aloud to al the birds that were flying highoverhead in the sky, 'Come here. Gather together at God's great feast.
18 ut manducetis carnes regum et carnes tribunorum et carnes fortium etcarnes equorum et sedentium in ipsis et carnes omnium liberorum ac servorum etpusillorum ac magnorum ”.	18 You wil eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of great generals and heroes, the flesh of horses andtheir riders and of al kinds of people, citizens and slaves, smal and great alike.'
19 Et vidi bestiam et reges terrae et exercitus eorum congregatos ad faciendumproelium cum illo, qui sedebat super equum, et cum exercitu eius.	19 Then I saw the beast, with al the kings of the earth and their armies, gathered together to fight theRider and his army.
20 Etapprehensa est bestia et cum illa pseudopropheta, qui fecit signa coram ipsa,quibus seduxit eos, qui acceperunt characterem bestiae et qui adorant imaginemeius; vivi missi sunt hi duo in stagnum ignis ardentis sulphure.	20 But the beast was taken prisoner, together with the false prophet who had worked miracles on thebeast's behalf and by them had deceived those who had accepted branding with the mark of the beast and thosewho had worshipped his statue. These two were hurled alive into the fiery lake of burning sulphur.
21 Et ceterioccisi sunt in gladio sedentis super equum, qui procedit de ore ipsius, et omnesaves saturatae sunt carnibus eorum.	21 Al the rest were kil ed by the sword of the Rider, which came out of his mouth, and al the birdsglutted themselves with their flesh.
