Osea 9

BIBBIA MARTINI	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Non far tanta festa, o Israele, non tripudiare come fanno le genti perocché tu hai ripudiato il tuo Dio hai amato per tua mercede le aie (piene) di grano.	1 No merrymaking, Israel, for you, no rejoicing like other peoples, for you have deserted your God to playthe whore, you have loved the fee of prostitution on every threshing-floor.
2 Né l'aia, né lo strettoio daran loro il sostentamento, e la vigna deluderà la loro espettazione.	2 The threshing-floor and wine-press will not feed them; they will be disappointed of new wine.
3 Non abiteranno nella terra del Signore. Ephraim è tornato in Egitto, e mangerà tragli Assiri vivande impure.	3 No more wil they live in Yahweh's country; Ephraim will have to go back to Egypt, and eat polluted foodin Assyria.
4 Non faranno le libagioni del vino al Signore; e le loro obblazioni non saranno gradite a lui: i lor sagrifizj saran come il pane de' funerali, chiunque ne mangerà, si renderà immondo: il loro pane sia per loro: non entrerà nel tempio del Signore.	4 No more wil they pour libations of wine to Yahweh, and their sacrifices will not win his favour but will belike funeral fare for them: whoever eats them wil be pol uted; for their food wil be for themselves alone, notbeing offered in Yahweh's home.
5 Che farete voi nel dì solenne, nel dì della festa del Signore?	5 What wil you do on the solemn feast-day, on the day of Yahweh's festival?
6 Imperocché eccoli che fuggono dal devastato paese. L'Egitto li raccoglierà, Memphi darà loro la sepoltura. L'amato argento loro rimarrà sotto le ortiche, nelle loro case cresceranno le lappole.	6 What a scene of devastastion they have left! Egypt wil round them up, Memphis will bury them, nettleswil inherit their fields and thorn-bushes invade their homesteads.
7 I giorni di visita son venuti, son venuti i giorni di vendetta. Sappi, o Israele, che il (tuo) profeta è uno stolto, un mentecatto è l'uomo ispirato, per ragione delle molte tue iniquità, e della tua somma stoltezza.	7 The days of punishment have come, the days of retribution are here; Israel knows it! 'The prophet ismad and the inspired man a fool!' Great has been your guilt- al the greater then the hostility!
8 La sentinella (che dovea star) col mio Dio in Ephraim, il profeta è diventato lacciuolo teso in tutte le sue strade per far cadere; stoltezza nella casa del suo Dio.	8 The watchman of Ephraim is with my God: it is the prophet- and a fowler's trap is placed on al hispaths; and in the shrine of his God there is enmity towards him.
9 Hanno peccato profondamente come ne' suoi dì i Gabaoniti. Il Signore si ricorderà della loro perversità, e visiterà i loro peccati.	9 They have become deeply corrupt as in the days of Gibeah; he will remember their guilt, he wil punishtheir sins.
10 Trovai Israele come un grappolo d'uva in mezzo al deserto, i padri loro mirai come i frutti primaticci sulla vetta d'una ficaia. Ma eglino nella casa entrarono di Beelphegor, si consagrarono all'obbrobrio, diventarono abbominevoli come le cose, che amarono.	10 It was like finding grapes in the desert when I found Israel, like seeing early fruit on a fig tree when Isaw your ancestors; but when they reached Baal-Peor they devoted themselves to Shame and became asloathsome as the thing they loved.
11 La gloria di Ephraim è sparita come un uccello subito dopo il parto, nel seno materno, fin dal concepimento.	11 The glory of Ephraim wil fly away like a bird: no giving birth, no pregnancy, no conceiving.
12 E quand' anche rilevassero i loro figliuoli, io farò, che rimangan tragli uomini senza figliuoli. E oltre a ciò guai a coloro, quand' io gli avrò lasciati in abbandono.	12 If they rear their children, I shal take them away before they grow up! Woe to them indeed when Ileave them!
13 Ephraim, qual io lo vidi, era simile a Tiro piantata in florido luogo: ma Ephraim darà i proprj figliuoli nelle mani dell'uccisore.	13 Ephraim looked to me like Tyre, planted in a meadow, so Ephraim will present his children to theslaughterer.
14 Dà loro, o Signore. Che darai loro? Dà loro uteri infecondi, e vizze mammelle.	14 Give them, Yahweh- what are you to give? - give them wombs that miscarry and dried-up breasts.
15 Il sommo della loro malvagità fu a Galgal, ivi io li presi in avversione: li caccerò dalla mia casa a motivo dei perversi loro pensamenti: non avrò più amore per essi: tutti i loro principi son tanti ribelli.	15 Their wickedness appeared in ful at Gilgal, there I came to hate them. Because of the wickedness oftheir deeds I shall drive them from my home, I shal love them no longer; all their princes are rebels.
16 Ephraim è stato percosso: secca è la loro radice: non produrranno più frutto: e quando divengano padri, io ucciderò loro i figliuoli più cari.	16 Ephraim is blasted, their root has dried out, they wil bear no more fruit. And even if they do bearchildren I shal slaughter the darlings of their womb.
17 Rigetteralli il mio Dio, perchè non lo hanno ascoltato, e saran vagabondi tralle nazioni.	17 Because they have not listened to him, my God wil cast them off and they wil become wanderersamong the nations.
