Lettera di Giuda 1

1 Giuda, servo di Gesù Cristo e fratello di Giacomo, a quelli che sono amati da Dio Padre, e in Cristo Gesù salvati e chiamati:	1 Jude, a servant of Jesus Christ, and brother of James, to those who are beloved in God the Father, and who are guarded and called in Jesus Christ:
2 misericordia, pace e carità vi sian moltiplicate.	2 May mercy, and peace, and love be fulfilled in you.
3 Carissimi, mentre io ponevo ogni mia sollecitudine nello scrivervi relativamente alla comune vostra salute, mi son trovato nella necessità di scrivervi per scongiurarvi a combattere per la fede che è stata una volta per sempre data ai santi;	3 Most beloved, taking all care to write to you about your common salvation, I found it necessary to write to you in order to beg you to contend earnestly for the faith that was handed down once to the saints.
4 perché si sono intrusi certi uomini (la condanna dei quali è già scritta da molto tempo) empi, che mutano in lussuria la grazia del nostro Dio e negano il solo Dominatore e Signore nostro Gesù Cristo.	4 For certain men entered unnoticed, who were written of beforehand unto this judgment: impious persons who are transforming the grace of our God into self-indulgence, and who are denying both the sole Ruler and our Lord Jesus Christ.
5 Ora, benché voi siate stati una volta istruiti di tutte le cose, voglio ricordarvi che Gesù, dopo aver liberato il popolo dalla terra d'Egitto, in seguito sterminò quelli che non credettero,	5 So I want to caution you. Those who once knew everything that Jesus did, in saving the people from the land of Egypt, afterwards perished because they did not believe.
6 e quegli angeli che non conservarono la loro preminenza, ma abbandonarono il loro posto, gli ha riservati pel giudizio del gran giorno, sepolti nella caligine, in eterne catene.	6 And truly, the Angels, who did not keep to their first place, but instead abandoned their own domiciles, he has reserved with perpetual chains under darkness, unto the great day of judgment.
7 Così pure Sodoma e Gomorra e le città confinanti, che si eran come loro abbandonate alla stessa impurità, al vizio infame contro natura, furono fatte esempio sotto il peso d'un fuoco eterno.	7 And also Sodom and Gomorrah, and the adjoining cities, in similar ways, having given themselves over to fornication and to the pursuing of other flesh, were made an example, suffering the punishment of eternal fire.
8 Nella stessa maniera questi contaminano la carne, disprezzano l'autorità, bestemmiano la maestà.	8 Similarly also, these ones certainly defile the flesh, and they despise proper authority, and they blaspheme against majesty.
9 Michele Arcangelo, quando, disputando col diavolo, altercava a causa del corpo di Mosè, non ardì lanciare contro di lui sentenza di maledizione, ma disse: Ti reprima il Signore.	9 When Michael the Archangel, disputing with the devil, contended about the body of Moses, he did not dare to bring against him a judgment of blasphemy, so instead he said: “The Lord commands you.”
10 Questi invece bestemmiano tutto ciò che non conoscono, e di tutto quello che, come muti animali, naturalmente conoscono, ne abusano per corrompersi.	10 But these men certainly blaspheme against whatever they do not understand. And yet, whatever they, like mute animals, know from nature, in these things they are corrupted.
11 Guai a loro, perchè han presa la strada di Caino, e per amor di guadagno si son precipitati nell'errore di Balaam, e son periti nella ribellione di Core.	11 Woe to them! For they have gone after the way of Cain, and they have poured out the error of Balaam for profit, and they have perished in the sedition of Korah.
12 Costoro sono un vituperio nelle loro agapi, ove gozzovigliano senza ritegno per ingrassare, sono nuvole senza acqua portate qua e là dai venti, sono alberi d'autunno, senza frutti, due volte morti, sradicati;	12 These ones are defiled within their banquets, enjoying themselves and feeding themselves without fear; waterless clouds, which are tossed about by winds; autumn trees, unfruitful, twice dead, uprooted;
13 son flutti di mare furioso, che spumano le proprie turpitudini; sono astri erranti ai quali è riservata in eterno la procella delle tenebre.	13 raging waves of the sea, foaming from their own confusion; wandering stars, for whom the whirlwind of darkness has been reserved forever!
14 E di essi profetò Enoch, il settimo (patriarca) da Adamo, quando disse: « Ecco, viene il Signore colle migliaia dei suoi santi	14 And about these, Enoch, the seventh from Adam, also prophesied, saying: “Behold, the Lord is arriving with thousands of his saints,
15 a far giudizio contro tutti, a rimproverare tutti gli empi di tutte le opere malvage che hanno empiamente commesse e di tutte le dure cose che, da peccatori empi, han dette contro Dio ».	15 to execute judgment against everyone, and to reprove all the impious concerning all the works of their impiety, by which they have acted impiously, and concerning all the harsh things that impious sinners have spoken against God.”
16 Costoro sono dei mormoratori queruli che vivono secondo le loro passioni; la loro bocca sputa superbia; essi adulano per interesse le persone.	16 These ones are complaining murmurers, walking according to their own desires. And their mouth is speaking arrogance, admiring persons for the sake of gain.
17 Ma voi, carissimi, ricordatevi di ciò che vi fu predetto dagli apostoli del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo,	17 But as for you, most beloved, be mindful of the words which have been foretold by the Apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ,
18 i quali vi dicevano come negli ultimi tempi verranno degli schernitori che vivranno empiamente secondo le loro passioni.	18 who declared to you that, in the end time, there would arrive mockers, walking according to their own desires, in impieties.
19 Son loro che provocan le divisioni, questi animali che non hanno Spirito.	19 These are the ones who segregate themselves; they are animals, not having the Spirit.
20 Ma voi, carissimi, e liticando voi stessi sopra la santissima vostra fede, pregando nello Spirito Santo,	20 But you, most beloved, are building yourselves up by your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,
21 mantenetevi nell'amore di Dio, aspettando la misericordia del Signor nostro Gesù Cristo per la vita eterna.	21 keeping yourselves in the love of God, and anticipating the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life.
22 Correggete questi, dopo averli convinti;	22 So certainly, reprove them, after they have been judged.
23 salvate quelli, strappandoli al fuoco; degli altri poi abbiate compassione, avendo però in odio perfin la veste contaminata dalla loro carne.	23 Yet truly, save them, seizing them from the fire. And have mercy on others: in fear, hating even that which is of the flesh, the defiled garment.
24 A Colui che è potente per custodirvi senza peccato e farvi comparire immacolati ed esultanti nel cospetto della sua gloria nella venuta del Signore nostro Gesù Cristo.	24 Then, to him who has the power to keep you free from sin and to present you, immaculate, with exultation, before the presence of his glory at the advent of our Lord Jesus Christ,
25 al solo Dio Salvatore nostro, per Gesù Cristo nostro Signore, gloria, e magnificenza, e impero, e potenza prima di tutti i secoli, ed ora, e per tutti i secoli dei secoli. Così sia.	25 to the only God, our Savior, through Jesus Christ our Lord: to him be glory and magnificence, dominion and power, before all ages, and now, and in every age, forever. Amen.
