Osea 1

1 - Parola del Signore che fu comunicata a Osea, figlio di Beeri, ai giorni di Ozia, Joatan, Acaz, Ezechia, re di Giuda, ed ai giorni di Geroboamo, re d'Israele.	1 The word of the Lord that came to Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam, the son of Joash, king of Israel.
2 Il principio del parlare del Signore con Osea. E disse il Signore ad Osea: «Va', ammogliati con una prostituta e fatti figliuoli da una prostituta, perchè la terra continuerà a prostituirsi nell'apostasia dal suo Dio».	2 The beginning of the Lord’s conversation with Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea: “Go, take to yourself a wife of fornications, and make for yourself sons of fornications, because, by fornicating, the land will fornicate away from the Lord.”
3 E andò e prese Gomer, figlia di Debelaim, e concepì e gli partorì un figlio.	3 And he went out and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; and she conceived and bore him a son.
4 E il Signore gli disse: «Mettigli il nome Jezrael; perchè tra poco farò scontare il sangue di Jezrael sopra la casa di Jeu, e farò cessare il regno della casa di Israele.	4 And the Lord said to him: “Call his name Jezreel because, after a little while, I will visit the blood of Jezreel upon the house of Jehu, and I will put the kingdom of the house of Israel to rest.
5 In quel giorno io spezzerò l'arco d'Israele nella vallata di Jezrael».	5 And in that day, I will crush the stronghold of Israel in the valley of Jezreel.”
6 E concepì ancora e partorì una figlia. E il Signore gli disse: «Mettile nome "Senza- misericordia", perchè non continuerò più ad usare misericordia alla casa d'Israele, ma la metterò del tutto in dimenticanza.	6 And after a while, she conceived and bore a daughter. And he said to him: “Call her name, Without Mercy, for I will no longer have mercy on the house of Israel, but I will utterly forget them.
7 Però della casa di Giuda avrò misericordia e le farò trovar salvezza nel Signore, Dio loro, e non nell'arco e nella spada, e nella battaglia e nei cavalli e nei cavalieri».	7 Yet I will have mercy on the house of Judah, and I will save them by the Lord their God. And I will not save them by bow and sword and battle and horses and horsemen.”
8 Ed ella slattò "Senza-misericordia", e concepì e partorì un figlio.	8 And she weaned her, who was called Without Mercy. And she conceived and bore a son.
9 E il Signore disse: «Chiamalo "Non-popolo-mio", perchè voi non siete più il popolo mio ed io non sarò più vostro.	9 And he said: “Call his name, Not My People, for you are not my people, and I will not be yours.
10 Ma pure il numero dei figli di Israele sarà come le sabbie del mare, che non si possono calcolare, nè contare; e avverrà che in quello stesso luogo ove è stato detto a loro: "Non- popolo-mio"; si dirà a loro: "Figli del Dio vivente".	10 And the number of the sons of Israel will be like the sand of the sea, which is without measure and cannot be numbered. And in the place where it will be said to them, ‘You are not my people,’ this will happen: it will be said to them, ‘You are the sons of the living God.’
11 E si riuniranno insieme i figli di Giuda e i figli d'Israele, e si costituiranno un unico capo, e saliranno fuor della terra; perchè grande ha da essere il giorno di Jezrael.	11 And the sons of Judah, and the sons of Israel, will be gathered together. And they will place over themselves one head, and they will rise up from the earth, for great is the day of Jezreel.”
