BIBBIA CEI 2008	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Ora, in quel tempo, sorgerà Michele, il gran principe, che vigila sui figli del tuo popolo. Sarà un tempo di angoscia, come non c’era stata mai dal sorgere delle nazioni fino a quel tempo; in quel tempo sarà salvato il tuo popolo, chiunque si troverà scritto nel libro.	1 'At that time Michael wil arise -- the great Prince, defender of your people. That wil be a time of greatdistress, unparal eled since nations first came into existence. When that time comes, your own people wil bespared -- al those whose names are found written in the Book.
2 Molti di quelli che dormono nella regione della polvere si risveglieranno: gli uni alla vita eterna e gli altri alla vergogna e per l’infamia eterna.	2 'Of those who are sleeping in the Land of Dust, many wil awaken, some to everlasting life, some toshame and everlasting disgrace.
3 I saggi risplenderanno come lo splendore del firmamento; coloro che avranno indotto molti alla giustizia risplenderanno come le stelle per sempre.	3 Those who are wise wil shine as brightly as the expanse of the heavens, and those who haveinstructed many in uprightness, as bright as stars for al eternity.
4 Ora tu, Daniele, chiudi queste parole e sigilla questo libro, fino al tempo della fine: allora molti lo scorreranno e la loro conoscenza sarà accresciuta».	4 'But you, Daniel, must keep these words secret and keep the book sealed until the time of the End.Many wil roam about, this way and that, and wickedness wil continue to increase.'
5 Io, Daniele, stavo guardando, ed ecco altri due che stavano in piedi, uno di qua sulla sponda del fiume, l’altro di là sull’altra sponda.	5 I, Daniel, then looked and saw two other people standing, one on the near bank of the river, the otheron the far.
6 Uno disse all’uomo vestito di lino, che era sulle acque del fiume: «Quando si compiranno queste cose meravigliose?».	6 One of them said to the man dressed in linen who was standing further up the stream, 'How long untilthese wonders take place?'
7 Udii l’uomo vestito di lino, che era sulle acque del fiume, il quale, alzate la destra e la sinistra al cielo, giurò per colui che vive in eterno che tutte queste cose si sarebbero realizzate fra un tempo, tempi e metà di un tempo, quando fosse giunta a compimento la distruzione della potenza del popolo santo.	7 I heard the man speak who was dressed in linen, standing further up the stream: he raised his righthand and his left to heaven and swore by him who lives for ever, 'A time and two times, and half a time; and althese things wil come true, once the crushing of the holy people's power is over.'
8 Io udii bene, ma non compresi, e dissi: «Signore mio, quale sarà la fine di queste cose?».	8 I listened but did not understand. I then said, 'My lord, what is to be the outcome?'
9 Egli mi rispose: «Va’, Daniele, queste parole sono nascoste e sigillate fino al tempo della fine.	9 'Go, Daniel,' he said. 'These words are to remain secret and sealed until the time of the End.
10 Molti saranno purificati, resi candidi, integri, ma gli empi agiranno empiamente: nessuno degli empi intenderà queste cose, ma i saggi le intenderanno.	10 Many wil be cleansed, made white and purged; the wicked will persist in doing wrong; the wicked willnever understand; those who are wise wil understand.
11 Ora, dal tempo in cui sarà abolito il sacrificio quotidiano e sarà eretto l’abominio devastante, passeranno milleduecentonovanta giorni.	11 From the moment that the perpetual sacrifice is abolished and the appal ing abomination set up: athousand two hundred and ninety days.
12 Beato chi aspetterà con pazienza e giungerà a milletrecentotrentacinque giorni.	12 Blessed is he who perseveres and attains a thousand three hundred and thirty-five days.
13 Tu, va’ pure alla tua fine e riposa: ti alzerai per la tua sorte alla fine dei giorni».	13 But you, go away and rest; and you wil rise for your reward at the end of time.'
