1 Sugli Ammoniti. Dice il Signore: "Israele non ha forse figli, non ha egli alcun erede? Perché Milcom ha ereditato la terra di Gad e il suo popolo ne ha occupate le città?	1 Against the sons of Ammon. Thus says the Lord: “Does Israel have no sons? Or is there no heir for him? Then why has Milcom possessed the inheritance of Gad, and why have his people lived in his cities?
2 Perciò ecco, verranno giorni - dice il Signore - nei quali io farò udire a Rabbà degli Ammoniti fragore di guerra; essa diventerà un cumulo di rovine, le sue borgate saranno consumate dal fuoco, Israele spoglierà i suoi spogliatori, dice il Signore.	2 Therefore, behold, the days are approaching, says the Lord, when I will cause the noise of battle to be heard over Rabbah of the sons of Ammon. 9 Se vendemmiatori verranno da te, non lasceranno nulla da racimolare. Se ladri notturni verranno da te, saccheggeranno quanto loro piace.	9 If those who gather grapes had passed by you, would they not have left behind a cluster? 10 Poiché io intendo spogliare Esaù, rivelo i suoi nascondigli ed egli non ha dove nascondersi. And so, will you be released as if you were innocent? You will not be released as if innocent. Instead, you shall certainly drink.
13 poiché io ho giurato per me stesso - dice il Signore - che Bozra diventerà un orrore, un obbrobrio, un deserto, una maledizione e tutte le sue città saranno ridotte a rovine perenni.	13 For I have sworn by myself, says the Lord, that Bozrah will be a desolation, and a disgrace, and a wasteland, and a curse. 19 Ecco, come un leone sale dalla boscaglia del Giordano verso i prati sempre verdi, così in un baleno io lo scaccerò di là e il mio eletto porrò su di esso; poiché chi è come me? Chi può citarmi in giudizio? Chi è dunque il pastore che può resistere davanti a me?	19 Behold, he will ascend like a lion from the arrogance of the Jordan, against the robust beauty. 20 Per questo ascoltate il progetto che il Signore ha fatto contro Edom e le decisioni che egli ha prese contro gli abitanti di Teman. Certo, trascineranno via anche i più piccoli del gregge, e per loro sarà desolato il loro prato.	20 Because of this, listen to the counsel of the Lord, which he has undertaken concerning Edom, and to his thoughts, which he has devised concerning the inhabitants of Teman. Certainly, the little ones of the flock will cast them down, unless they scatter them with their habitation.
21 Al fragore della loro caduta tremerà la terra. Un grido! Fino al Mare Rosso se ne ode l'eco.	21 The earth has been shaken at the noise of their destruction. The outcry of their voice has been heard at the Red Sea.
22 Ecco, come l'aquila, egli sale e si libra, espande le ali su Bozra. And in that day, the heart of the strong ones of Idumea will be like the heart of a woman giving birth.”
23 Su Damasco. 28 Su Kedàr e sui regni di Cazòr, che Nabucodònosor re di Babilonia sconfisse. And they will take for themselves their tents, and all their vessels, and their camels. And they will call down a terror upon them on every side.
30 Fuggite, andate lontano, nascondetevi in luoghi segreti o abitanti di Cazòr - dice il Signore - perché ha ideato un disegno contro di voi. Nabucodònosor re di Babilonia ha preparato un piano contro di voi.	30 Flee, go away urgently! Sit in deep pits, you who inhabit Hazor, says the Lord. And from all their confines, I will lead great destruction over them, says the Lord.
33 Cazòr diventerà rifugio di sciacalli, una desolazione per sempre; nessuno vi dimorerà più, non vi abiterà più un figlio d'uomo".	33 And Hazor will be a habitation for serpents, deserted even unto eternity. No man will abide there, nor will a son of man tend it.”
34 Parola che il Signore rivolse al profeta Geremia riguardo all'Elam all'inizio del regno di Sedecìa re di Giuda.	34 The word of the Lord that came to Jeremiah the prophet against Elam, in the beginning of the reign of Zedekiah, the king of Judah, saying:
35 "Dice il Signore degli eserciti: Ecco io spezzerò l'arco dell'Elam, il nerbo della sua potenza.	35 “Thus says the Lord of hosts: Behold, I will break the bow of Elam, and the summit of their strength.
36 Manderò contro l'Elam i quattro venti dalle quattro estremità del cielo e li sparpaglierò davanti a questi venti; non ci sarà nazione in cui non giungeranno i profughi dell'Elam.	36 And I will lead the four winds over Elam, from the four corners of heaven. And I will scatter them into all these winds. And there will be no nation to which the fugitives of Elam will not travel.
37 Incuterò terrore negli Elamiti davanti ai loro nemici e davanti a coloro che vogliono la loro vita; manderò su di essi la sventura,la mia ira ardente. Parola del Signore. Manderò la spada a inseguirli finché non li avrò sterminati.	37 And I will cause Elam to be terrified before their enemies and in the sight of those who seek their life. And I will lead an evil over them, the wrath of my fury, says the Lord. And I will send the sword after them, until I consume them.
38 Porrò il mio trono sull'Elam e farò morire il re e i capi. Oracolo del Signore.	38 And I will set my throne in Elam, and I will perish the kings and princes from there, says the Lord.
39 Ma negli ultimi giorni cambierò la sorte dell'Elam". Parola del Signore.	39 But in the last days, I will cause the captives of Elam to return, says the Lord.”
