BIBBIA CEI 1974	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Sugli Ammoniti. Dice il Signore: "Israele non ha forse figli, non ha egli alcun erede? Perché Milcom ha ereditato la terra di Gad e il suo popolo ne ha occupate le città?	1 To the Ammonites. Yahweh says this: Has Israel no sons? Has he no heir? Why should Milcom haveinherited Gad and his people have settled in its towns?
2 Perciò ecco, verranno giorni - dice il Signore - nei quali io farò udire a Rabbà degli Ammoniti fragore di guerra; essa diventerà un cumulo di rovine, le sue borgate saranno consumate dal fuoco, Israele spoglierà i suoi spogliatori, dice il Signore.	2 And so the days are coming, Yahweh declares, when I shall make the war cry ring out for Rabbah-of-the-Ammonites. 7 Su Edom. Così dice il Signore degli eserciti: "Non c'è più sapienza in Teman? È scomparso il consiglio dei saggi? È svanita la loro sapienza?	7 To Edom. Yahweh says this: Is there no wisdom left in Teman? Have the shrewd run out ofcommonsense, has their wisdom vanished?
8 Fuggite, partite, nascondetevi in un luogo segreto, abitanti di Dedan, poiché io mando su Esaù la sua rovina, il tempo del suo castigo.	8 Away! Take to your heels! Go into hiding, inhabitants of Dedan, for I shal bring ruin on Esau when thetime comes for me to punish him.
9 Se vendemmiatori verranno da te, non lasceranno nulla da racimolare. Se ladri notturni verranno da te, saccheggeranno quanto loro piace.	9 If grape-pickers were to come to you, would they not leave a few gleanings? If robbers came during thenight, would they not steal only as much as they wanted?
10 Poiché io intendo spogliare Esaù, rivelo i suoi nascondigli ed egli non ha dove nascondersi. La sua stirpe, i suoi fratelli, i suoi vicini sono distrutti ed egli non è più.	10 But I for my part have stripped Esau, have laid his hiding places bare: he can hide no longer. His raceis destroyed, so are his brothers and neighbours; he is no more!
11 Lascia i tuoi orfani, io li farò vivere, le tue vedove confidino in me!	11 Leave your orphans, I shall support them, and let your widows rely on me!
12 Poiché così dice il Signore: Ecco, coloro che non erano obbligati a bere il calice lo devono bere e tu pretendi di rimanere impunito? Non resterai impunito, ma dovrai berlo	12 For Yahweh says this, 'Look, those who would not have had to drink the cup wil have to drink it all thesame; so why should you go unpunished? You wil not go unpunished, but wil certainly have to drink.
13 poiché io ho giurato per me stesso - dice il Signore - che Bozra diventerà un orrore, un obbrobrio, un deserto, una maledizione e tutte le sue città saranno ridotte a rovine perenni.	13 For by my own self I have sworn, Yahweh declares, that Bozrah will become an object of horror, alaughing-stock, a desert, a curse, and al its towns ruins for ever.'
14 Ho udito un messaggio da parte del Signore, un messaggero è stato inviato fra le nazioni: Adunatevi e marciate contro di lui! Alzatevi per la battaglia.	14 I have received a message from Yahweh, a herald has been sent throughout the nations, 'Muster!March against this people! Prepare for battle!'
15 Poiché ecco, ti renderò piccolo fra i popoli e disprezzato fra gli uomini.	15 For look, I shal reduce you to the smal est of nations, to the most despised of people.

Oracolo del Signore.	16 Your reputation for ferocity, your proud heart has misled you. You whose home is in the crannies of the Rock, who cling to the top of the peak! Though you make your nest as high as the eagle's, I shal bring youdown from there, Yahweh declares.
17 Edom sarà oggetto di orrore; chiunque passerà lì vicino ne resterà attonito e fischierà davanti a tutte le sue piaghe.	17 Edom wil become an object of horror; everyone going near wil be appal ed, and whistle at the sight ofal her wounds.
18 Come nello sconvolgimento di Sòdoma e Gomorra e delle città vicine - dice il Signore - non vi abiterà più uomo né vi fisserà la propria dimora un figlio d'uomo.	18 As at the overthrow of Sodom and Gomorrah and their neighbouring towns, no one wil live there anymore, Yahweh says, no human being settle there again.
19 Ecco, come un leone sale dalla boscaglia del Giordano verso i prati sempre verdi, così in un baleno io lo scaccerò di là e il mio eletto porrò su di esso; poiché chi è come me? Chi può citarmi in giudizio? Chi è dunque il pastore che può resistere davanti a me?	19 Look, like a lion he climbs from the thickets of the Jordan to the perennial pasture! In a flash, I shalmake them run away, and there appoint someone I shal choose. For who is there like me? Who can hale meinto court? Name me the shepherd who can stand up to me.
20 Per questo ascoltate il progetto che il Signore ha fatto contro Edom e le decisioni che egli ha prese contro gli abitanti di Teman. Certo, trascineranno via anche i più piccoli del gregge, e per loro sarà desolato il loro prato.	20 So now hear the plan that Yahweh has laid against Edom, the schemes he has in mind against theinhabitants of Teman: they will certainly be dragged away like the smal est of the flock! Their pastures wilcertainly be sacked before their eyes!
21 Al fragore della loro caduta tremerà la terra. Un grido! Fino al Mare Rosso se ne ode l'eco.	21 The earth quakes at the sound of their downfal , the sound of it echoes to the Sea of Reeds.
22 Ecco, come l'aquila, egli sale e si libra, espande le ali su Bozra. 28 Su Kedàr e sui regni di Cazòr, che Nabucodònosor re di Babilonia sconfisse. Così dice il Signore: "Su, marciate contro Kedàr, saccheggiate i figli dell'oriente.	28 To Kedar and the kingdoms of Hazor, which were conquered by Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon.Yahweh says this: Up! 29 Prendete le loro tende e le loro pecore, i loro teli da tenda, tutti i loro attrezzi; portate via i loro cammelli; un grido si leverà su di loro: Terrore all'intorno!	29 Let their tents and their flocks be captured, their tent-cloths and al their gear; let their camels beseized and the shout go up, 'Terror on every side!'
30 Fuggite, andate lontano, nascondetevi in luoghi segreti o abitanti di Cazòr - dice il Signore - perché ha ideato un disegno contro di voi. Nabucodònosor re di Babilonia ha preparato un piano contro di voi.	30 Away! Get into hiding as fast as you can, inhabitants of Hazor, Yahweh declares, for Nebuchadnezzarking of Babylon has made a plan against you, he has a scheme in mind against you,

33 Cazòr diventerà rifugio di sciacalli, una desolazione per sempre; nessuno vi dimorerà più, non vi abiterà più un figlio d'uomo".	33 Hazor wil become the lair of jackals, desolate for ever. No one wil live there any more, no humanbeing settle there again.
34 Parola che il Signore rivolse al profeta Geremia riguardo all'Elam all'inizio del regno di Sedecìa re di Giuda.	34 The word of Yahweh that came to the prophet Jeremiah about Elam, at the beginning of the reign ofZedekiah king of Judah.
35 "Dice il Signore degli eserciti: Ecco io spezzerò l'arco dell'Elam, il nerbo della sua potenza.	35 'Yahweh Sabaoth says this: Look, I shal break Elam's bow, the source of his might.

38 Porrò il mio trono sull'Elam e farò morire il re e i capi. Oracolo del Signore.	38 I shal set up my throne in Elam, uprooting its king and princes, Yahweh declares.
39 Ma negli ultimi giorni cambierò la sorte dell'Elam". Parola del Signore.	39 In the final days, I shal bring Elam's captives back, Yahweh declares.'
