Isaia 46

BIBBIA CEI 1974	NEW JERUSALEM
1 A terra è Bel, rovesciato è Nebo; i loro idoli sono per gli animali e le bestie, caricati come loro fardelli, come peso sfibrante.	1 Bel is crouching, Nebo cowering, their idols are being put on animals, on beasts of burden, the loadsyou have been carrying are a burden to a weary beast.
2 Sono rovesciati, sono a terra insieme, non hanno potuto salvare chi li portava ed essi stessi se ne vanno in schiavitù.	2 They are cowering and crouching together, no one can save this burden, they themselves have goneinto captivity.
3 Ascoltatemi, casa di Giacobbe e voi tutti, superstiti della casa di Israele; voi, portati da me fin dal seno materno, sorretti fin dalla nascita.	3 Listen to me, House of Jacob, al who remain of the House of Israel, whom I have carried since thewomb, whom I have supported since you were conceived.
4 Fino alla vostra vecchiaia io sarò sempre lo stesso, io vi porterò fino alla canizie. Come ho già fatto, così io vi sosterrò, vi porterò e vi salverò.	4 Until your old age I shal be the same, until your hair is grey I shall carry you. As I have done, so I shalsupport you, I myself shall carry and shall save you.
5 A chi mi paragonate e mi assomigliate? A chi mi confrontate, quasi fossimo simili?	5 With whom can you compare me, equate me, to whom can you liken me, making equals of us?
6 Traggono l'oro dal sacchetto e pesano l'argento con la bilancia; pagano un orefice perché faccia un dio, che poi venerano e adorano.	6 They lavish gold from their purses and weigh out silver on the scales. They engage a goldsmith tomake a god, then bow low and actually adore!
7 Lo sollevano sulle spalle e lo portano, poi lo ripongono sulla sua base e sta fermo: non si muove più dal suo posto. Ognuno lo invoca, ma non risponde; non libera nessuno dalla sua angoscia.	7 They lift it on their shoulders and carry it, and put it down where it is meant to stand, so that it nevermoves from the spot. You may cry out to it in distress, it never replies, it never saves anyone in trouble.
8 Ricordatevelo e agite da uomini; rifletteteci, o prevaricatori.	8 Remember this and stand firm; rebels, look into your hearts.
9 Ricordatevi i fatti del tempo antico, perché io sono Dio e non ce n'è altri. Sono Dio, nulla è uguale a me.	9 Remember the things that happened long ago, for I am God, and there is no other; I am God, and thereis none like me.
10 Io dal principio annunzio la fine e, molto prima, quanto non è stato ancora compiuto; io che dico: "Il mio progetto resta valido, io compirò ogni mia volontà!".	10 From the beginning I revealed the future, in advance, what has not yet occurred. I say: My purposewil come about, I shal do whatever I please;
11 Io chiamo dall'oriente l'uccello da preda, da una terra lontana l'uomo dei miei progetti. Così ho parlato e così avverrà; l'ho progettato, così farò.	11 I cal a bird of prey from the east, my man predestined, from a distant land. What I have said, I shaldo, what I have planned, I shal perform.
12 Ascoltatemi, voi che vi perdete di coraggio, che siete lontani dalla giustizia.	12 Listen to me, you hard-hearted people far removed from saving justice:
13 Faccio avvicinare la mia giustizia: non è lontana; la mia salvezza non tarderà. Io dispenserò in Sion la salvezza a Israele, oggetto della mia gloria.	13 I am bringing my justice nearer, it is not far away, my salvation wil not delay. I shal place mysalvation in Zion and my glory in Israel.
