| 1 Ecco viene per Jahvè un giorno in cui le tue spoglie saranno divise in mezzo a te. | 1 Look, the Day of Yahweh is coming, when the spoils taken from you will be shared out among you. |
| 2 Allora radunerò tutte le genti a battaglia contro Gerusalemme: la città sarà presa, le case saccheggiate, le donne violentate; una metà della città dovrà partire deportata, ma il resto del popolo non sarà strappato dalla città. | 2 For I shal gather al the nations to Jerusalem for battle. The city wil be taken, the houses plundered,the women ravished. Half the city wil go into exile, but the rest of the people wil not be ejected from the city. |
| 3 Allora Jahvè uscirà e combatterà contro quelle genti, come quando combatté nel giorno di battaglia. | 3 Then Yahweh wil sal y out and fight those nations as once he fought on the day of battle. |
| 4 I suoi piedi si fermeranno, in quel giorno, sul monte degli Olivi, che è di fronte a Gerusalemme, verso oriente; il monte degli Olivi si spaccherà per la sua linea di mezzo, verso oriente e verso occidente, in un grandissimo avvallamento: una metà del monte si ritirerà verso nord l’altra metà verso sud. | 4 When that day comes, his feet will rest on the Mount of Olives, which faces Jerusalem on the east,and the Mount of Olives wil be split in half from east to west, forming a huge val ey; half the Mount will recedenorthwards, the other half southwards. |
| 5 Fuggirete all’avvallamento tra i miei monti, poiché l’avvallamento tra i monti giungerà fino a Azal; fuggirete come fuggiste dal terremoto, al tempo di Ozia, re di Giuda. Allora Jahvè mio Dio verrà e tutti i santi con lui. | 5 The valley between the hills wil be fil ed in, yes, it will be blocked as far as Jasol, it wil be fil ed in as it was by the earthquake in the days of Uzziah king of Judah. And Yahweh my God will come, and al the holyones with him. |
| 6 Ora avverrà in quel giorno: non ci sarà luce, poi freddo, poi gelo. | 6 That Day, there wil be no light, but only cold and frost. |
| 7 Allora sarà tutto un giorno solo, che è noto a, Jahvè: cioè non giorno né notte ma che verso il tempo della sera si rifarà chiaro. | 7 And it wil be one continuous day -- Yahweh knows -- there will be no more day and night, and it wilremain light right into the time of evening. |
| 8 E avverrà: in quel giorno scorreranno da Gerusalemme acque vive; una metà di esse al mare Orientale e un’altra metà al mare Occidentale. Ce ne sarà nell’estate e nell’inverno. | 8 When that Day comes, living waters wil issue from Jerusalem, half towards the eastern sea, halftowards the western sea; they will flow summer and winter. |
| 9 Jahvè regnerà su tutta la terra. In quel giorno Jahvè sarà lui solo, il suo nome solo. | 9 Then Yahweh wil become king of the whole world. When that Day comes, Yahweh will be the one andonly and his name the one name. |
| 10 Tutto il paese si cambierà in una pianura da Gabaa a Rimmon di Negheb, ma Gerusalemme sarà in alto e sarà abitata al suo posto: dalla porta di Beniamin fino al luogo della porta precedente, fino alla porta dell’Angolo e dalla torre di Khananeel fino ai colatoi del re | 10 The entire country wil be transformed into plain, from Geba to Rimmon in the Negeb, but Jerusalemwil stand high in her place and be full of people from the Benjamin Gate to the site of the earlier gate, to theCorner Gate, and from the Tower of Hananel to the king's wine-presses. |
| 11 vi si abiterà. Allora non ci sarà più anatema è Gerusalemme sarà un sicuro soggiorno. | 11 People wil make their homes there. The curse of destruction will be lifted; Jerusalem wil be safe tolive in. |
| 12 Questo è il malanno con cui Jahvè colpirà tutti i popoli che hanno mosso guerra contro Gerusalemme: va tutta in marciume la loro carne mentre ancora stanno in piedi; il loro occhio marcisce loro nelle occhiaie, e la lingua marcisce loro in bocca. | 12 And this is the plague with which Yahweh will strike al the nations who have fought againstJerusalem; their flesh wil rot while they are stil standing on their feet; their eyes wil rot in their sockets; theirtongues wil rot in their mouths. |
| 13 Ora avverrà in quel giorno che ci sarà tra di loro un grande scompiglio mandato da Jahvè: l’uno afferrerà la mano dell’altro e la mano dell’uno si leverà sulla mano dell’altro; | 13 When that Day comes, a great terror will fal on them from Yahweh; each man wil grab hisneighbour's hand and they wil fal to fighting among themselves. |
| 14 anche Giuda combatterà in Gerusalemme e verrà raccolta la ricchezza di tutte le genti all’intorno, oro, argento e vesti in grandissima quantità. | 14 Even Judah will fight against Jerusalem. The wealth of al the surrounding nations wil be heapedtogether: gold, silver, clothing, in vast quantity. |
| 15 Così il malanno per i cavalli, i muli, i cammelli, gli asini e per tutte le bestie che si troveranno in quegli accampamenti sarà come questo malanno. | 15 And the plague afflicting the horses, mules, camels, donkeys and al the other animals in thosearmies wil be the same. |
| 16 E avverrà che tutto il resto di tutte le genti che avranno marciato contro Gerusalemme salirà di anno in anno ad adorare il re, Jahvè degli eserciti, e a celebrare la festa delle Capanne. | 16 After this, al the survivors of al the nations which have attacked Jerusalem wil come up year afteryear to worship the King, Yahweh Sabaoth, and to keep the feast of Shelters. |
| 17 E avverrà che se alcune delle famiglie della terra non saliranno a Gerusalemme per adorare il re, Jahvè degli eserciti, su di esse non verrà la pioggia. | 17 Should one of the races of the world fail to come up to Jerusalem to worship the King, YahwehSabaoth, there wil be no rain for that one. |
| 18 Se la famiglia d’Egitto non salirà e non verrà, su di essi verrà il malanno con cui Jahvè colpirà le genti che non saranno salite a celebrare la festa delle Capanne. | 18 Should the race of Egypt fail to come up and pay its visit, on it wil fal the plague which Yahweh wilinflict on each of those nations which fail to come up to keep the feast of Shelters. |
| 19 Questo sarà peccato dell’Egitto e di tutte le genti, che non saranno salite a celebrare la festa delle Capanne. | 19 Such will be the punishment for Egypt and the punishment for all the nations which fail to come up tokeep the feast of Shelters. |
| 20 In quel giorno, sui sonagli dei cavalli ci sarà: «Sacro a Jahvè» e le caldaie nel tempio di Jahvè saranno come i bacini davanti all’altare. | 20 When that Day comes, the very bel s on the horses wil be inscribed with the words, 'Sacred toYahweh', and the cooking pots of the house of Yahweh wil be as holy as the sprinkling bowls before the altar. |
| 21 Ogni caldaia in Gerusalemme e in Giuda sarà sacra a Jahvè degli eserciti: tutti coloro che sacrificheranno verranno e prenderanno da esse, vi faranno cuocere; non ci sarà più alcun Cananeo nel tempio di Jahvè degli eserciti, in quel giorno. | 21 Yes, every cooking pot in Jerusalem and in Judah shal be sacred to Yahweh Sabaoth, and al whocome to offer sacrifice will help themselves and do their cooking in them, and there wil be no more traders in the Temple of Yahweh Sabaoth, when that Day comes. |
