BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Canción de las subidas. De David. ¡Oh, qué alegría cuando me dijeron: Vamos a la Casa de Yahveh!	1 [Song of Ascents Of David] I rejoiced that they said to me, 'Let us go to the house of Yahweh.'
2 ¡Ya estamos, ya se posan nuestros pies en tus puertas, Jerusalén!	2 At last our feet are standing at your gates, Jerusalem!
3 Jerusalén, construida cual ciudad de compacta armonía,	3 Jerusalem, built as a city, in one united whole,
4 a donde suben las tribus, las tribus de Yahveh, es para Israel el motivo de dar gracias al nombre de Yahveh.	4 there the tribes go up, the tribes of Yahweh, a sign for Israel to give thanks to the name of Yahweh.
5 Porque allí están los tronos para el juicio, los tronos de la casa de David.	5 For there are set the thrones of judgement, the thrones of the house of David.
6 Pedid la paz para Jerusalén: ¡en calma estén tus tiendas,	6 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem, prosperity for your homes!
7 haya paz en tus muros, en tus palacios calma!	7 Peace within your wal s, prosperity in your palaces!
8 Por amor de mis hermanos y de mis amigos, quiero decir: ¡La paz contigo!	8 For love of my brothers and my friends I wil say, 'Peace upon you!'
9 ¡Por amor de la Casa de Yahveh nuestro Dios, ruego por tu ventura.	9 For love of the house of Yahweh our God I wil pray for your wel -being.
