Ezechiele 25

NOVA VULGATA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Et factus est sermo Domini ad me dicens:	1 The word of Yahweh was addressed to me as follows,
2 “ Fili hominis, pone faciemtuam contra filios Ammon et propheta de eis	2 'Son of man, turn towards the Ammonites and prophesy against them.
3 et dices filiis Ammon: Auditeverbum Domini Dei. Haec dicit Dominus Deus: Pro eo quod dixisti: “Euge!” super sanctuariummeum, quia pollutum est, et super terram Israel, quoniam desolata est, et superdomum Iudae, quoniam ducti sunt in captivitatem,	3 Say to the Ammonites, "Hear the word of the Lord Yahweh. The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since yougloated over my sanctuary when it was profaned, and over the land of Israel when it was ravaged, and over theHouse of Judah when it went into exile,
4 idcirco ego tradam te filiisorientalibus in hereditatem, et collocabunt castra sua in te et ponent in tetentoria sua; ipsi comedent fruges tuas, et ipsi bibent lac tuum.	4 I shal let the sons of the East take possession of you; they wil pitch their camps inside you, they wilmake their home in you. They will be the ones to eat your produce and drink your milk.
5 DaboqueRabba in pascua camelorum et filios Ammon in cubile pecorum, et scietis quia egoDominus.	5 I shal turn Rabbah into a camel yard and the towns of Ammon into sheepfolds. And so you wil knowthat I am Yahweh.
6 Quia haec dicit Dominus Deus: Pro eo quod plausisti manu et percussisti pedeet gavisa es ex toto affectu super terram Israel,	6 "The Lord Yahweh says this: Since you have clapped your hands and danced for joy, ful of maliciousdelight at Israel's fate,
7 idcirco ecce ego extendammanum meam super te et tradam te in direptionem gentium et interficiam te depopulis et perdam de terris et conteram, et scies quia ego Dominus.	7 my hand wil be against you for this; I shall hand you over to be looted by the peoples, obliterate youas a nation and wipe you out as a country. I shal reduce you to nothing, and you wil know that I am Yahweh.
8 Haec dicit Dominus Deus: Pro eo quod dixerunt Moab et Seir: “Ecce sicutomnes gentes domus Iudae!”,	8 "The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since Moab and Seir have said: Look at the House of Judah; it is nodifferent from any other nation;
9 idcirco ecce ego aperiam latus Moab privans eamcivitatibus, civitatibus, inquam, eius, a finibus eius, decore terrae:Bethiesimoth et Baalmeon et Cariathaim;	9 very wel , I shall expose Moab's heights; its cities will no longer be cities throughout the land -- thejewels of the country, Beth-Jeshimoth, Baal-Meon and Kiriathaim.
10 filiis orientis cum filiis Ammon daboeam in hereditatem, ut non sit memoria ultra filiorum Ammon in gentibus.	10 I shal let the sons of the East and the Ammonites take possession of them, so that they wil nolonger be remembered by the nations.
11 Etin Moab faciam iudicia, et scient quia ego Dominus.	11 I shal bring Moab to justice, and they will know that I am Yahweh.
12 Haec dicit Dominus Deus: Pro eo quod fecit Idumaea ultionem, ut se vindicaretde domo Iudae, peccavitque delinquens et vindictam expetivit de eis,	12 "The Lord Yahweh says this: "Since Edom has taken revenge on the House of Judah and committedgreat crimes in doing so,
13 idcircohaec dicit Dominus Deus: Extendam manum meam super Idumaeam et auferam de eahominem et iumentum et faciam eam desertum; de Theman et usque Dedan gladiocadent.	13 very well, the Lord Yahweh says this: My hand wil be against Edom and denude it of human andanimal. I shal lay it waste, from Teman as far as Dedan they wil be put to the sword.
14 Et dabo ultionem meam super Idumaeam per manum populi mei Israel, etfacient in Edom iuxta iram meam et furorem meum, et scient vindictam meam, dicitDominus Deus.	14 I shal take vengeance on Edom by means of my people Israel. They wil treat Edom as my angerand fury dictate, and they wil know this is my vengeance -- declares the Lord Yahweh.
15 Haec dicit Dominus Deus: Pro eo quod fecerunt Palaestini in vindicta et ultise sunt toto animo interficientes et implentes inimicitias sempiternas,	15 "The Lord Yahweh says this, "Since the Philistines have acted in revenge and, motivated by malice,have taken revenge, doing their best to destroy because of their long-standing hatred,
16 propterea haec dicit Dominus Deus: Ecce ego extendam manum meam superPalaestinos et interficiam Cherethaeos et perdam reliquias maritimae regionis;	16 very well, the Lord Yahweh says this: My hand wil be against the Philistines; I shal exterminate theCherethites and destroy the rest of the coastal peoples.
17 faciamque in eis ultiones magnas, arguens in furore, et scient quia egoDominus, cum dedero vindictam meam super eos ”.	17 I shal perform frightful acts of vengeance and inflict furious punishments on them; and they will knowthat I am Yahweh, when I exact my vengeance on them." '
