1 E dopo il giro d'un anno, in quella stagione, nella quale sogliono i re andare alla guerra, Gioab raunò l'esercito, e il nerbo de' soldati, e diede il guasto alle terre de' figliuoli di Ammon; e andò innanzi, e assediò Rabba: or Davidde restò in Gerusalemme, quando Gioab espugnò Rabba, e la distrusse.	1 At the turn of the year, at the time when kings go campaigning, Joab led out the troops and, havingravaged the Ammonites' territory, proceeded to lay siege to Rabbah.
