BIBBIA RICCIOTTI	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 - Perchè ecco che verrà il giorno divampante, come una fornace; e tutti i superbi e tutti i malfattori saranno stoppia e il giorno che viene li abbrucerà, dice il Signore degli eserciti, senza più lasciar ad essi nè radice, nè germoglio.	1 For behold the day shall come kindled as a furnace: and all the proud, and all that do wickedly shall be stubble: and the day that cometh shall set them on fire, saith the Lord of hosts, it shall not leave them root, nor branch.
2 Ma per voi, che temete il mio nome, spunterà un sole di giustizia, e nelle sue ali sarà la guarigione; e voi uscirete e salterete come vitelli dalla stalla.	2 But unto you that fear my name, the Sun of justice shall arise, and health in his wings: and you shall go forth, and shall leap like calves of the herd.
3 E calpesterete gli empi, che ridotti in cenere sotto le piante dei vostri piedi, nel giorno in cui agirò, dice il Signore degli eserciti.	3 And you shall tread down the wicked when they shall be ashes under the sole of your feet in the day that I do this, saith the Lord of hosts.
4 Ricordatevi della legge di Mosè mio servo, che gli ho affidata sull'Horeb, i precetti e i comandamenti per tutto Israele.	4 Remember the law of Moses my servant, which I commanded him in Horeb for all Israel, the precepts, and judgments.
5 Ecco ch'io manderò a voi il profeta Elia, innanzi che giunga il grande e tremendo giorno del Signore;	5 Behold I will send you Elias the prophet, before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord.
6 e ricondurrà il cuore dei padri verso i figli e il cuore dei figli verso i padri, affinchè non giunga e colpisca la terra d'anatema -».	6 And he shall turn the heart of the fathers to the children, and the heart of the children to their fathers: lest I come, and strike the earth with anathema.
