JERUSALEM	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Aie pitié de nous, maître, Dieu de l'univers, et regarde, répands ta crainte sur toutes lesnations.	1 Have mercy upon us, O God of all, and behold us, and shew us the light of thy mercies:
2 Lève la main contre les nations étrangères, et qu'elles voient ta puissance.	2 And send thy fear upon the nations, that have not sought after thee: that they may know that there is no God beside thee, and that they may shew forth thy wonders.
3 Comme, à leurs yeux, tu t'es montré saint envers nous, de même, à nos yeux, montre-toigrand envers elles.	3 Lift up thy hand over the strange nations, that they may see thy power.
4 Qu'elles te connaissent, tout comme nous avons connu qu'il n'y a pas d'autre Dieu que toi,Seigneur.	4 For as thou hast been sanctified in us in their sight, so thou shalt be magnified among them in our presence,
5 Renouvelle les prodiges et fais d'autres miracles, glorifie ta main et ton bras droit.	5 That they may know thee, as we also have known thee, that there is no God beside thee, O Lord.
6 Réveille ta fureur, déverse ta colère, détruis l'adversaire, anéantis l'ennemi.	6 Renew thy signs, and work new miracles.
7 Hâte le temps, souviens-toi du serment, que l'on célèbre tes hauts faits.	7 Glorify thy hand, and thy right arm.
8 Qu'un feu vengeur dévore les survivants, que les oppresseurs de ton peuple soient voués à laruine.	8 Raise up indignation, and pour out wrath.
9 Brise la tête des chefs étrangers qui disent: "Il n'y a que nous."	9 Take away the adversary, and crush the enemy.
10 Rassemble toutes les tribus de Jacob, rends-leur leur héritage comme au commencement.	10 Hasten the time, and remember the end, that they may declare thy wonderful works.
11 Aie pitié, Seigneur, du peuple appelé de ton nom, d'Israël dont tu as fait un premier-né.	11 ,11Let him that escapeth be consumed by the rage of the fire: and let them perish that oppress thy people.
12 Aie compassion de ta ville sainte, de Jérusalem le lieu de ton repos.	12 Crush the head of the princes of the enemies that say: There is no other beside us.
13 Remplis Sion de ta louange et ton sanctuaire de ta gloire.	13 Gather together all the tribes of Jacob: that they may know that there is no God besides thee, and may declare thy great works: and thou shalt inherit them as from the beginning.
14 Rends témoignage à tes premières créatures, accomplis les prophéties faites en ton nom.	14 Have mercy on thy people, upon whom thy name is invoked: and upon Israel, m whom thou hast raised up to be thy firstborn.
15 Donne satisfaction à ceux qui espèrent en toi, que tes prophètes soient véridiques.	15 Have mercy on Jerusalem, the city which thou hast sanctified, the city of thy rest.
16 Exauce, Seigneur, la prière de tes serviteurs selon la bénédiction d'Aaron sur ton peuple.	16 Fill Sion with thy unspeakable words, and thy people with thy glory.
17 Et que tous, sur la terre, reconnaissent que tu es le Seigneur, le Dieu éternel!	17 Give testimony to them that are thy creatures from the beginning, and raise up the prophecies which the former prophets spoke in thy name.
18 L'estomac accueille toute sorte de nourriture, mais tel aliment est meilleur qu'un autre.	18 Reward them that patiently wait for thee, that thy prophets may be found faithful: and hear the prayers of thy servants,
19 Le palais reconnaît à son goût le gibier, de même le coeur avisé discerne les parolesmensongères.	19 According to the blessing of Aaron over thy people, and direct us into the way of justice, and let all know that dwell upon the earth, that thou art God the beholder of all ages.
20 Un coeur pervers donne du chagrin, l'homme d'expérience le paie de retour.	20 The belly will devour all meat, yet one is better than another.
21 Une femme accepte n'importe quel mari, mais il y a des filles meilleures que d'autres.	21 ,21The palate tasteth venison and the wise heart false speeches.
22 La beauté d'une femme réjouit le regard, c'est le plus grand de tous les désirs de l'homme.	22 A perverse heart will cause grief, and a man of experience will resist it.
23 Si la bonté et la douceur sont sur ses lèvres, son mari est le plus heureux des hommes.	23 A woman will receive every man: yet one daughter is better than another.
24 Celui qui acquiert une femme a le principe de la fortune, une aide semblable à lui, unecolonne d'appui.	24 The beauty of a woman cheereth the countenance of her husband, and a man desireth nothing more.
25 Faute de clôture le domaine est livré au pillage, sans une femme l'homme gémit et va à ladérive.	25 If she have a tongue that can cure, and likewise mitigate and shew mercy: her husband is not like other men.
26 Comment se fier à un voleur de grand chemin qui court de ville en ville?	26 He that possesseth a good wife, beginneth a possession: she is a help like to himself, and a pillar of rest.
27 De même à l'homme qui n'a pas de nid, qui s'arrête là où la nuit le surprend.	27 Where there is no hedge, the possession shall be spoiled: and where there is no wife, he mourneth that is in want.
	28 Who will trust him that hath no rest, and that lodgeth wheresoever the night taketh him, as a robber well appointed, that skippeth from city to city.
