JERUSALEM	DOUAI-RHEIMS
1 Du maître de chant. Cantique.Psaume. Acclamez Dieu, toute la terre,	1 Unto the end, a canticle of a psalm of the resurrection. Shout with joy to God, all the earth,
2 chantez à la gloire de son nom, rendez-lui sa louange de gloire,	2 sing ye a psalm to his name; give glory to his praise.
3 dites à Dieu: Que tu es redoutable! A la mesure de ta force, tes oeuvres. Tes ennemis se font tesflatteurs;	3 Say unto God, How terrible are thy works, O Lord! in the multitude of thy strength thy enemies shall lie to thee.
4 toute la terre se prosterne devant toi, elle te chante, elle chante pour ton nom.	4 Let all the earth adore thee, and sing to thee: let it sing a psalm to thy name.
5 Venez, voyez les gestes de Dieu, redoutable en hauts faits pour les fils d'Adam:	5 Come and see the works of God; who is terrible in his counsels over the sons of men.
6 il changea la mer en terre ferme, on passa le fleuve à pied sec. Là, notre joie en lui,	6 Who turneth the sea into dry land, in the river they shall pass on foot: there shall we rejoice in him.
7 souverain de puissance éternelle! Les yeux sur les nations, il veille, sur les rebelles pour qu'ils ne serelèvent.	7 Who by his power ruleth for ever: his eyes behold the nations; let not them that provoke him he exalted in themselves.
8 Peuples, bénissez notre Dieu, donnez une voix à sa louange,	8 O bless our God, ye Gentiles: and make the voice of his praise to be heard.
9 lui qui rend notre âme à la vie, et préserve nos pieds du faux pas.	9 Who hath set my soul to live: and hath not suffered my feet to be moved:
10 Tu nous as éprouvés, ô Dieu, épurés comme on épure l'argent;	10 For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us by fire, as silver is tried.
11 tu nous as fait tomber dans le filet, tu as mis sur nos reins une étreinte;	11 Thou hast brought us into a net, thou hast laid afflictions on our back:
12 tu fis chevaucher à notre tête un mortel; nous passions par le feu et par l'eau, puis tu nous as faitreprendre haleine.	12 thou hast set men over our heads. We have passed through tire and water, and thou hast brought us out into a refreshment.
13 Je viens en ta maison avec des holocaustes, j'acquitte envers toi mes voeux,	13 I will go into thy house with burnt offerings: I will pay thee my vows,
14 ceux qui m'ouvrirent les lèvres, que prononçait ma bouche en mon angoisse.	14 which my lips have uttered, And my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
15 Je t'offrirai de gras holocaustes avec la fumée des béliers, je le ferai avec des taureaux et desboucs.	15 I will offer up to thee holocausts full of marrow, with burnt offerings of rams: I will offer to thee bullocks with goats.
16 Venez, écoutez, que je raconte, vous tous les craignant-dieu, ce qu'il a fait pour mon âme.	16 Come and hear, all ye that fear God, and I will tell you what great things he hath done for my soul.
17 Vers lui ma bouche a crié, l'éloge déjà sur ma langue.	17 I cried to him with my mouth: and I extolled him with my tongue.
18 Si j'avais vu de la malice en mon coeur, le Seigneur ne m'eût point écouté.	18 If I have looked at iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.
19 Et pourtant Dieu m'a écouté, attentif à la voix de ma prière.	19 Therefore hath God heard me, and hath attended to the voice of my supplication.
20 Béni soit Dieu qui n'a pas écarté ma prière ni son amour loin de moi.	20 Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his mercy from me.
