JERUSALEM	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Voici la descendance des fils de Noé, Sem, Cham et Japhet, auxquels des fils naquirent après ledéluge:	1 These are the descendants of Noah's sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, to whom sons were born afterthe flood:
2 Fils de Japhet: Gomer, Magog, les Mèdes, Yavân, Tubal, Moshek, Tiras.	2 Japheth's sons: Gomer, Magog, the Medes, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, Tiras.
3 Fils de Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphat, Togarma.	3 Gomer's sons: Ashkenaz, Riphath, Togarmah.
4 Fils de Yavân: Elisha, Tarsis, les Kittim, les Dananéens.	4 Javan's sons: Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittim, the Dananites.
5 A partir d'eux se fit la dispersion dans les îles des nations. Tels furent les fils de Japhet, d'aprèsleurs pays et chacun selon sa langue, selon leurs clans et d'après leurs nations.	5 From these came the dispersal to the islands of the nations. These were Japheth's sons, in theirrespective countries, each with its own language, by clan and nation.
6 Fils de Cham: Kush, Miçrayim, Put, Canaan.	6 Ham's sons: Cush, Mizraim, Put, Canaan.
7 Fils de Kush: Séba, Havila, Sabta, Rama, Sabteka. Fils deRama: Sheba, Dedân.	7 Cush's sons: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, Sabteca. Raamah's sons: Sheba, Dedan.
8 Kush engendra Nemrod, qui fut le premier potentat sur la terre.	8 Cush fathered Nimrod who was the first potentate on earth.
9 C'était un vaillant chasseur devant Yahvé, et c'est pourquoi l'on dit: "Comme Nemrod, vaillantchasseur devant Yahvé."	9 He was a mighty hunter in the eyes of Yahweh, hence the saying, 'Like Nimrod, a mighty hunter in theeyes of Yahweh'.
10 Les soutiens de son empire furent Babel, Erek et Akkad, villes qui sont toutes au pays de Shinéar.	10 The mainstays of his empire were Babel, Erech and Accad, all of them in the land of Shinar.
11 De ce pays sortit Ashshur, et il bâtit Ninive, Rehobot-Ir, Kalah,	11 From this country came Asshur, and he built Nineveh, Rehoboth-Ir, Calah,
12 et Rèsèn entre Ninive et Kalah (c'est la grande ville).	12 and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (this being the capital).
13 Miçrayim engendra les gens de Lud, de Anam, de Lehab, de Naphtuh,	13 Mizraim fathered the people of Lud, of Anam, Lehab, Naphtuh,
14 de Patros, de Kasluh et de Kaphtor, d'où sont sortis les Philistins.	14 Pathros, Casluh and Caphtor, from which the Philistines came.
15 Canaan engendra Sidon, son premier-né, puis Hèt,	15 Canaan fathered Sidon, his first-born, then Heth,
16 et le Jébuséen, l'Amorite, le Girgashite,	16 and the Jebusites, the Amorites, Girgashites,
17 le Hivvite, l'Arqite, le Sinite,	17 Hivites, Arkites, Sinites,
18 l'Arvadite, le Cemarite, le Hamatite; ensuite se dispersèrent les clans cananéens.	18 Arvadites, Zemarites and Hamathites. Later, the Canaanite clans spread out.
19 La frontière des Cananéens allait de Sidon en direction de Gérar, jusqu'à Gaza, puis en directionde Sodome, Gomorrhe, Adma et Ceboyim, et jusqu'à Lésha.	19 The Canaanite frontier stretched from Sidon al the way to Gerar near Gaza, and al the way toSodom, Gomorrah, Admah and Zeboi m near Lesha.
20 Tels furent les fils de Cham, selon leurs clans et leurs langues, d'après leurs pays et leurs nations.	20 These were Ham's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.
21 Une descendance naquit également à Sem, l'ancêtre de tous les fils de Eber et le frère aîné deJaphet.	21 Shem too fathered sons, being ancestor of all the sons of Eber and Japheth's elder brother.
22 Fils de Sem: Elam, Ashshur, Arpakshad, Lud, Aram.	22 Shem's sons: Elam, Asshur, Arpachshad, Lud, Aram.
23 Fils d'Aram: Uç, Hul, Géter et Mash.	23 Aram's sons: Uz, Hul, Gether and Mash.
24 Arpakshad engendra Shélah et Shélah engendra Eber.	24 Arpachshad fathered Shelah, and Shelah fathered Eber.
25 A Eber naquirent deux fils: le premier s'appelait Péleg, carce fut en son temps que la terre futdivisée, et son frères'appelait Yoqtân.	25 To Eber were born two sons: the first was cal ed Peleg, because it was in his time that the earth wasdivided, and his brother was called Joktan.
26 Yoqtân engendra Almodad, Shéleph, Haççarmavet, Yérah,	26 Joktan fathered Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah,
27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diqla,	27 Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah,
28 Obal, Abimaël, Sheba,	28 Obal, Abima-El, Sheba,
29 Ophir, Havila, Yobab; tous ceux-là sont fils de Yoqtân.	29 Ophir, Havilah, Jobab; al these were sons of Joktan.
30 Ils habitaient à partir de Mesha en direction de Sephar, la montagne de l'Orient.	30 They occupied a stretch of country from Mesha all the way to Sephar, the eastern mountain range.
31 Tels furent les fils de Sem, selon leurs clans et leurs langues, d'après leurs pays et leurs nations.	31 These were Shem's sons, by clans and languages, by countries and nations.
32 Tels furent les clans des descendants de Noé, selon leurs lignées et d'après leurs nations. Ce fut àpartir d'eux que les peuples se dispersèrent sur la terre après le déluge.	32 Such were the clans of Noah's descendants, listed by descent and nation. From them, other nationsbranched out on earth after the flood.
