| 2 «Da esta orden a los israelitas: Cuando entréis en el país de Canaán, éste será el territorio que os caerá en herencia: el país de Canaán con todas sus fronteras. | 2 "Command the people of Israel, and say to them, When you enter the land of Canaan (this is the land that shall fall to you for an inheritance, the land of Canaan in its full extent), |
| 3 Por el sur, os pertenecerá desde el desierto de Sin, siguiendo el límite de Edom. Vuestra frontera meridional empezará por el oriente en la extremidad del mar de la Sal. | 3 your south side shall be from the wilderness of Zin along the side of Edom, and your southern boundary shall be from the end of the Salt Sea on the east; |
| 4 Torcerá vuestra frontera por el sur hacia la subida de los Escorpiones, pasará por Sin y terminará por el sur en Cadés Barnea. Luego irá hacia Jasar Addar y pasará por Asmón. | 4 and your boundary shall turn south of the ascent of Akrabbim, and cross to Zin, and its end shall be south of Kadesh-barnea; then it shall go on to Hazar-addar, and pass along to Azmon; |
| 5 Torcerá la frontera de Asmón hacia el Torrente de Egipto y acabará en el Mar. | 5 and the boundary shall turn from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and its termination shall be at the sea. |
| 6 Vuestra frontera occidental será el mar Grande. Esta frontera será vuestro límite al oeste. | 6 "For the western boundary, you shall have the Great Sea and its coast; this shall be your western boundary. |
| 7 Vuestra frontera por el norte será la siguiente: Desde el mar Grande trazaréis el límite hasta Hor de la Montaña. | 7 "This shall be your northern boundary: from the Great Sea you shall mark out your line to Mount Hor; |
| 8 De Hor de la Montaña, trazaréis el límite hasta la Entrada de Jamat, y vendrá a salir la frontera a Sedad. | 8 from Mount Hor you shall mark it out to the entrance of Hamath, and the end of the boundary shall be at Zeded; |
| 9 Seguirá luego la frontera hacia Zifrón y terminará en Jasar Enán. Esa será vuestra frontera septentrional. | 9 then the boundary shall extend to Ziphron, and its end shall be at Hazar-enan; this shall be your northern boundary. |
| 10 Luego trazaréis vuestra frontera oriental desde Jasar Enán hasta Sefam. | 10 "You shall mark out your eastern boundary from Hazar-enan to Shepham; |
| 11 La frontera bajará de Sefam hacia Arbel, al oriente de Ayín. Seguirá bajando la frontera, y, tocando la orilla del mar de Kinnéret por el oriente, | 11 and the boundary shall go down from Shepham to Riblah on the east side of Ain; and the boundary shall go down, and reach to the shoulder of the sea of Chinnereth on the east; |
| 12 bajará al Jordán y vendrá a dar en el mar de la Sal. Esa será vuestra tierra con las fronteras que la circunscriben.» | 12 and the boundary shall go down to the Jordan, and its end shall be at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land with its boundaries all round." |
| 13 Moisés dio esta orden a los israelitas: «Este es el país que habéis de repartir a suertes, el que Yahveh mandó dar a las nueve tribus y a la mitad de la otra, | 13 Moses commanded the people of Israel, saying, "This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which the LORD has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe; |
| 14 pues la tribu de los hijos de Rubén con sus distintas casas paternas y la tribu de los hijos de Gad con sus distintas casas paternas, han recibido ya su herencia; y la media tribu de Manasés ha recibido también su herencia. | 14 for the tribe of the sons of Reuben by fathers' houses and the tribe of the sons of Gad by their fathers' houses have received their inheritance, and also the half-tribe of Manasseh; |
| 15 Las dos tribus y la otra media tribu han recibido ya su herencia más allá del Jordán, a oriente de Jericó, hacia la salida del sol.» | 15 the two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance beyond the Jordan at Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise." |
| 16 Habló Yahveh a Moisés y le dijo: | 16 The LORD said to Moses, |
| 17 «Estos son los nombres de los que os han de repartir la tierra: el sacerdote Eleazar y Josué, hijo de Nun. | 17 "These are the names of the men who shall divide the land to you for inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun. |
| 18 Elegiréis también un principal de cada tribu, para que repartan la tierra. | 18 You shall take one leader of every tribe, to divide the land for inheritance. |
| 19 Estos son sus nombres: por la tribu de Judá, Caleb, hijo de Yefunné; | 19 These are the names of the men: Of the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh. |
| 20 por la tribu de los hijos de Simeón, Semuel, hijo de Ammihud; | 20 Of the tribe of the sons of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud. |
| 21 por la tribu de Benjamín, Elidad, hijo de Kislón; | 21 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon. |
| 22 por la tribu de los hijos de Dan, el principal Buquí, hijo de Yoglí; | 22 Of the tribe of the sons of Dan a leader, Bukki the son of Jogli. |
| 23 por los hijos de José: por la tribu de los hijos de Manasés, el principal Janniel, hijo de Efod; | 23 Of the sons of Joseph: of the tribe of the sons of Manasseh a leader, Hanniel the son of Ephod. |
| 24 y por la tribu de los hijos de Efraím, el principal Quemuel, hijo de Siftán; | 24 And of the tribe of the sons of Ephraim a leader, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan. |
| 25 por la tribu de los hijos de Zabulón, el principal Elisafán, hijo de Parnak; | 25 Of the tribe of the sons of Zebulun a leader, Eli-zaphan the son of Parnach. |
| 26 por la tribu de los hijos de Isacar, el principal Paltiel, hijo de Azzán; | 26 Of the tribe of the sons of Issachar a leader, Paltiel the son of Azzan. |
| 27 por la tribu de los hijos de Aser, el principal Ajihud, hijo de Selomí; | 27 And of the tribe of the sons of Asher a leader, Ahihud the son of Shelomi. |
| 28 por la tribu de los hijos de Neftalí, el principal Pedahel, hijo de Ammihud.» | 28 Of the tribe of the sons of Naphtali a leader, Pedahel the son of Ammihud. |
| 29 A éstos mandó Yahveh repartir la herencia a los israelitas en el país de Canaán. | 29 These are the men whom the LORD commanded to divide the inheritance for the people of Israel in the land of Canaan." |
