Salmos 97

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 ¡Reina Yahveh! ¡La tierra exulte, alégrense las islas numerosas!	1 Yahweh is king! Let earth rejoice, the many isles be glad!
2 Nube y Bruma densa en torno a él, Justicia y Derecho, la base de su trono.	2 Cloud, black cloud enfolds him, saving justice and judgement the foundations of his throne.
3 Delante de él avanza fuego y a sus adversarios en derredor abrasa;	3 Fire goes before him, sets ablaze his enemies al around;
4 iluminan el orbe sus relámpagos, lo ve la tierra y se estremece.	4 his lightning-flashes light up the world, the earth sees it and quakes.
5 Los montes como cera se derriten ante el Dueño de la tierra toda;	5 The mountains melt like wax, before the Lord of all the earth.
6 los cielos anuncian su justicia, y todos los pueblos ven su gloria.	6 The heavens proclaim his saving justice, all nations see his glory.
7 ¡Se avergüenzan los que sirven a los ídolos, los que se glorían de vanidades; se postran ante él todos los dioses!	7 Shame on all who serve images, who pride themselves on their idols; bow down to him, al you gods!
8 Sión lo oye y se alboroza, exultan las hijas de Judá a causa de tus juicios, Yahveh.	8 Zion hears and is glad, the daughters of Judah exult, because of your judgements, Yahweh.
9 Porque tú eres Yahveh, el Altísimo sobre toda la tierra, muy por encima de los dioses todos.	9 For you are Yahweh, Most High over al the earth, far transcending al gods.
10 Yahveh ama a los que el mal detestan, él guarda las almas de sus fieles y de la mano de los impíos los libra.	10 Yahweh loves those who hate evil, he keeps safe his faithful, rescues them from the clutches of thewicked.
11 La luz se alza para el justo, y para los de recto corazón la alegría.	11 Light dawns for the upright, and joy for honest hearts.
12 Justos, alegraos en Yahveh, celebrad su memoria sagrada.	12 Rejoice in Yahweh, you who are upright, praise his unforgettable holiness.
