1 Crónicas 16

BIBLIA	NEW JERUSALEM
1 Introdujeron el arca de Dios y la colocaron en medio de la Tienda que David había hecho levantar para ella; y ofrecieron ante Dios holocaustos y sacrificios de comunión.	1 They brought the ark of God in and put it inside the tent which David had erected for it, and broughtburnt offerings and made communion sacrifices in God's presence.
2 Cuando David hubo acabado de ofrecer los holocaustos y los sacrificios de comunión, bendijo al pueblo en nombre de Yahveh,	2 And when David had finished making burnt offerings and communion sacrifices, he blessed thepeople in the name of Yahweh.
3 y repartió a todo el pueblo de Israel, hombres y mujeres, a cada uno una torta de pan, un pastel de dátiles y un pastel de pasas.	3 To all the Israelites, both men and women, to each, he then distributed a loaf of bread, a portion ofmeat and a raisin cake.
4 David estableció los levitas que habían de hacer el servicio delante del arca de Yahveh, celebrando, glorificando y alabando a Yahveh, el Dios de Israel.	4 He appointed some of the Levites as ministers before the ark of Yahweh, to extol, glorify and praiseYahweh, God of Israel;
5 Asaf era el jefe; Zacarías era el segundo; luego Uzziel, Semiramot, Yejiel, Mattitías, Eliab, Benaías, Obededom y Yeiel, con salterios y cítaras. Asaf hacía sonar los címbalos.	5 first Asaph, second Zechariah, then Uzziel, Shemiramoth, Jehiel, Mattithiah, Eliab, Benaiah, Obed-Edom and Jeiel, who played the lyre and harp, while Asaph played the cymbals.
6 Los sacerdotes Benaáis y Yajaziel tocaban sin interrupción las trompetas delante del arca de la alianza de Dios.	6 The priests Benaiah and Jahaziel continually blew the trumpet before the ark of the covenant of God.
7 Aquel día David, alabando el primero a Yahveh, entregó a Asaf y a sus hermanos este canto:	7 On that day, David was the first to assign to Asaph and his kinsmen the giving of thanks to Yahweh:
8 ¡Dad gracias a Yahveh, aclamad su nombre, divulgad entre los pueblos sus hazañas!	8 Give thanks to Yahweh, call his name aloud, proclaim his deeds to the peoples.
9 ¡Cantadle, salmodiad para él, sus maravillas todas recitad!	9 Chant to him, play to him, sing about al his wonders!
10 ¡Gloriaos en su santo Nombre, se alegre el corazón de los que buscan a Yahveh!	10 Take pride in his holy name, let your heart rejoice, you seekers of Yahweh!
11 ¡Buscad a Yahveh y su fuerza, id tras su rostro sin descanso!	11 Seek out Yahweh, seek his strength, continual y seek out his presence!
12 Recordad las maravillas que él ha hecho, sus prodigios y los juicios de su boca,	12 Remember what wonders he has done, what miracles, what rulings he has given,
13 raza de Israel, su servidor, hijos de Jacob, sus elegidos.	13 you offspring of Israel his servant, you children of Jacob his chosen one!
14 El, Yahveh, es nuestro Dios, por toda la tierra sus juicios.	14 For he is Yahweh our God, his authority extends throughout the world.
15 Recordad para siempre su alianza, palabra que impuso a mil generaciones;	15 For ever remember his covenant, the pact imposed for a thousand generations,
16 lo que pactó con Abraham, el juramento que hizo a Isaac.	16 which he concluded with Abraham, which was sworn by him to Isaac,
17 Y que puso a Jacob como precepto, a Israel como alianza eterna,	17 since he confirmed it as a law for Jacob, as an eternal covenant for Israel,
18 diciendo: «Yo te daré la tierra de Canaán, por parte de vuestra herencia»,	18 saying, 'I wil give you the country; Canaan is the measure of your inheritance,
19 cuando erais escasa gente, poco numerosos, y forasteros allí.	19 'though you are few in number, only a few strangers there!'
20 Cuando iban de nación en nación desde un reino a otro pueblo,	20 As they wandered from nation to nation, from this kingdom to that people,
21 a nadie permitió oprimirles. Por ellos castigó a los reyes.	21 he would not let anyone oppress them and on their account he admonished kings,
22 «Guardaos de tocar a mis ungidos ni mal alguno hagáis a mis profetas».	22 'You are not to touch my anointed ones, my prophets are not to be harmed!'
23 Cantad a Yahveh toda la tierra anunciad su salvación día tras día.	23 Sing to Yahweh, all the earth, day after day proclaim his salvation!
24 Contad su gloria a las naciones, a todos los pueblos sus maravillas.	24 Declare his glory among the nations, his marvels to every people!
25 Que es grande Yahveh y muy digno de alabanza, más temible que todos los dioses.	25 Great is Yahweh, worthy of all praise, more awesome than any of the gods.
26 Porque nada son todos los dioses de los pueblos, mas Yahveh los cielos hizo.	26 Nothingness, al the gods of the nations. Yahweh it was who made the heavens,
27 Gloria y majestad están ante él, fortaleza y alegría en su Morada.	27 in his presence are splendour and majesty, in his sanctuary strength and joy.
28 ¡Rendid a Yahveh, familias de los pueblos, rendid a Yahveh gloria y poder!	28 Give Yahweh his due, families of peoples, give Yahweh his due of glory and power,
29 ¡Rendid a Yahveh la gloria de su Nombre! Traed ofrendas y en sus atrios entrad. ¡Postraos ante Yahveh en esplendor sagrado!	29 give Yahweh the glory due to his name! Bring an offering and enter his courts, bow down to Yahwehin his sacred court,
30 ¡Tiemble ante su faz la tierra entera! El orbe está seguro, no vacila.	30 tremble before him, al the earth! The world is firm, it cannot be moved,
31 Alégrense los cielos y la tierra jubile. Decid entre las gentes: «¡Yahveh es rey!»	31 let the heavens rejoice and earth be glad! Say among the nations, 'Yahweh is king!'
32 ¡Retumbe el mar y cuanto encierra! ¡Exulte el campo y cuanto en él existe!	32 Let the sea thunder and al it holds, the countryside exult and everything that is in it,
33 Griten de júbilo los árboles de los bosque ante Yahveh, pues viene a juzgar la tierra.	33 and al the trees of the forest cry out for joy at Yahweh's approach, for he is coming to judge theearth.
34 ¡Dad gracias a Yahveh, porque es bueno, porque es eterno su amor!	34 Give thanks to Yahweh, for he is good, for his faithful love lasts for ever!
35 Y decid: «¡Sálvanos, oh Dios de nuestra salvación! Reúnenos y líbranos de las naciones, para dar gracias a tu Nombre santo y gloriarnos en tu alabanza».	35 Say, 'Save us, God of our salvation, gather us together and free us from the nations, so that we maygive thanks to your holy name -- to be extolled whenever you are praised!'
36 Bendito sea Yahveh, el Dios de Israel, por eternidad de eternidades». Y todo el pueblo dijo: «Amén». Y alabó a Yahveh.	36 Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting! To which all the people said,'Amen, Al eluia!'
37 David dejó allí, ante el arca de la alianza de Yahveh, a Asaf y a sus hermanos, para el ministerio continuo delante del arca, según el rito de cada día;	37 There before the ark of the covenant of Yahweh David left Asaph and his kinsmen to maintain apermanent ministry before the ark as each day's ritual required,
38 y a Obededom, con sus hermanos, en número de 68, y a Obededom, hijo de Yedutún, y a Josá, como porteros;	38 and also Obed-Edom with his sixty-eight kinsmen. Obed-Edom son of Jeduthun, and Hosah weregatekeepers.
39 y el sacerdote Sadoq y a sus hermanos, los sacerdotes, delante de la Morada de Yahveh, en el alto de Gabaón,	39 Zadok the priest and the priests, his kinsmen, he left before the dwelling of Yahweh on the high placeat Gibeon
40 para que ofreciesen continuamente holocaustos a Yahveh en el altar de los holocaustos, por la mañana y por la tarde, según todo lo escrito en la Ley que Yahveh había mandado a Israel.	40 to bring burnt offerings to Yahweh unfailingly, morning and evening, on the altar of burnt offering, andto carry out al that is written in the Law of Yahweh laid down for Israel.
41 Con ellos estaban Hemán y Yedutún y los restantes escogidos y nominalmente designados para alabar a Yahveh: «Porque es eterno su amor».	41 With them were Heman and Jeduthun and the rest of those who were chosen and assigned by nameto give thanks to Yahweh, 'for his faithful love lasts for ever'.
42 Y con ellos, Hemán y Yedutún, que hacían sonar trompetas, címbalos e instrumentos para los cánticos de Dios. Los hijos de Yedutún eran porteros.	42 With them were Heman and Jeduthun to play trumpets and cymbals, as wel as instruments foraccompanying sacred song. The sons of Jeduthun were in charge of the gates.
43 Luego, todo el pueblo se fue, cada cual a su casa; también David se volvió para bendecir su casa.	43 Then al the people went back to their homes, and David went back to bless his household.
