| 5 come il nostro evangelo non vi fu annunziato soltanto con la parola, ma anche con potenza straordinaria, con l’effusione dello Spirito Santo, con piena certezza e ben sapete come ci diportammo tra voi per vostro bene. | 5 For our Gospel has not been among you in word alone, but also in virtue, and in the Holy Spirit, and with a great fullness, in the same manner as you know we have acted among you for your sake. |
| 6 Voi allora vi faceste imitatori nostri e del Signore, accogliendo il nostro annunzio, tra grandi vessazioni, con la gioia dello Spirito Santo, | 6 And so, you became imitators of us and of the Lord, accepting the Word in the midst of great tribulation, but with the joy of the Holy Spirit. |
| 7 sì da divenire un modello per tutti i credenti della Macedonia e dell’Acaia. | 7 So have you become a pattern for all who believe in Macedonia and in Achaia. |
