1 Du maître de chant. Psaume de David.	1 Hear my voice, O God, in my prayer: preserve my life from fear of the enemy.
2 Ecoute, ô Dieu, la voix de ma plainte, contre la peur de l'ennemi garde ma vie;	2 Hide me from the secret counsel of the wicked; from the insurrection of the workers of iniquity:
3 à la bande des méchants cache-moi, à la meute des ouvriers de mal!	3 Who whet their tongue like a sword, and bend their bows to shoot their arrows, even bitter words:
4 Eux qui aiguisent leur langue comme une épée, ils ajustent leur flèche, parole amère,	4 That they may shoot in secret at the perfect: suddenly do they shoot at him, and fear not.
5 pour tirer en cachette sur l'innocent, ils tirent soudain et ne craignent rien.	5 They encourage themselves in an evil matter: they commune of laying snares privily; they say, Who shall see them?
6 Ils s'encouragent dans leur méchante besogne, ils calculent pour tendre des pièges, ils disent: "Quiles verra	6 They search out iniquities; they accomplish a diligent search: both the inward thought of every one of them, and the heart, is deep.
7 et scrutera nos secrets?" Il les scrute, celui qui scrute le fond de l'homme et le coeur profond.	7 But God shall shoot at them with an arrow; suddenly shall they be wounded.
8 Dieu a tiré une flèche, soudaines ont été leurs blessures;	8 So they shall make their own tongue to fall upon themselves: all that see them shall flee away.
9 il les fit choir à cause de leur langue, tous ceux qui les voient hochent la tête.	9 And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing.
10 Tout homme alors craindra, il publiera l'oeuvre de Dieu, et son action, il la comprendra.	10 The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory.
11 Le juste aura sa joie en Yahvé et son refuge en lui; ils s'en loueront, tous les coeurs droits.
