1 Du maître de chant. Sur "Un lys est le précepte." A mi-voix. De David. Pour apprendre.	1 when he strove with Aramnaharaim and with Aramzobah, when Joab returned, and smote of Edom in the valley of salt twelve thousand.
2 Quand il lutta avec Aram Naharayim et Aram de Coba, et que Joab revint pour battre Edom dans lavallée du Sel, 12.000 hommes.	2 Thou hast made the earth to tremble; thou hast broken it: heal the breaches thereof; for it shaketh.
3 Dieu, tu nous as rejetés, rompus, tu étais irrité, reviens à nous!	3 Thou hast shewed thy people hard things: thou hast made us to drink the wine of astonishment.
4 Tu as fait trembler la terre, tu l'as fendue; guéris ses brèches, car elle chancelle!	4 Thou hast given a banner to them that fear thee, that it may be displayed because of the truth. Selah.
5 Tu en fis voir de dures à ton peuple, tu nous fis boire du vin de vertige;	5 That thy beloved may be delivered; save with thy right hand, and hear me.
6 tu donnas à tes fidèles le signal de leur débâcle sous le tir de l'arc.	6 God hath spoken in his holiness; I will rejoice, I will divide Shechem, and mete out the valley of Succoth.
7 Pour que soient délivrés tes bien-aimés, sauve par ta droite, et réponds-nous.	7 Gilead is mine, and Manasseh is mine; Ephraim also is the strength of mine head; Judah is my lawgiver;
8 Dieu a parlé dans son sanctuaire: "J'exulte, je partage Sichem, j'arpente la vallée de Sukkot.	8 Moab is my washpot; over Edom will I cast out my shoe: Philistia, triumph thou because of me.
9 "A moi Galaad, à moi Manassé, Ephraïm, l'armure de ma tête, Juda, mon bâton de commandement,	9 Who will bring me into the strong city? who will lead me into Edom?
10 "Moab, le bassin où je me lave! sur Edom, je jette ma sandale. Crie donc victoire contre moi,Philistie! "	10 Wilt not thou, O God, which hadst cast us off? and thou, O God, which didst not go out with our armies?
11 Qui me mènera dans une ville forte, qui me conduira jusqu'en Edom,	11 Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man.
12 sinon toi, Dieu, qui nous as rejetés, Dieu qui ne sors plus avec nos armées?	12 Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
13 Porte-nous secours dans l'oppression: néant, le salut de l'homme!
14 Avec Dieu, nous ferons des prouesses, et lui piétinera nos oppresseurs.
