Livre des Psaumes 5

JERUSALEM	CATHOLIC PUBLIC DOMAIN
1 Du maître de chant. Sur les flûtes. Psaume de David.	1 Unto the end. For her who pursues the inheritance. A Psalm of David.
2 Ma parole, entends-la, Yahvé, discerne ma plainte,	2 O Lord, listen closely to my words. Understand my outcry.
3 attentif à la voix de mon appel, ô mon Roi et mon Dieu! C'est toi que je prie,	3 Attend to the voice of my prayer, my King and my God.
4 Yahvé! Au matin tu écoutes ma voix; au matin je fais pour toi les apprêts et je reste aux aguets.	4 For to you, I will pray. In the morning, Lord, you will hear my voice.
5 Tu n'es pas un Dieu agréant l'impiété, le méchant n'est pas ton hôte;	5 In the morning, I will stand before you, and I will see. For you are not a God who wills iniquity.
6 non, les arrogants ne tiennent pas devant ton regard. Tu hais tous les malfaisants,	6 And the malicious will not dwell close to you, nor will the unjust endure before your eyes.
7 tu fais périr les imposteurs; l'homme de sang et de fraude, Yahvé le hait.	7 You hate all who work iniquity. You will destroy all who speak a lie. The bloody and deceitful man, the Lord will abominate.
8 Et moi, par la grandeur de ton amour, j'accède à ta maison; vers ton Temple sacré je me prosterne,pénétré de ta crainte.	8 But I am in the multitude of your mercy. I will enter your house. I will show adoration toward your holy temple, in your fear.
9 Yahvé, guide-moi dans ta justice à cause de ceux qui me guettent, redresse devant moi ton chemin.	9 Lord, lead me in your justice. Because of my enemies, direct my way in your sight.
10 Non, rien n'est sûr dans leur bouche, et leur fond n'est que ruine, leur gosier est un sépulcre béant,mielleuse se fait leur langue.	10 For there is no truth in their mouth: their heart is vain.
11 Traite-les en coupables, ô Dieu, qu'ils échouent dans leurs intrigues; pour leurs crimes sansnombre, repousse-les, pour leur révolte contre toi.	11 Their throat is an open sepulcher. They have acted deceitfully with their tongues. Judge them, O God. Let them fall by their own intentions: according to the multitude of their impiety, expel them. For they have provoked you, O Lord.
12 Joie pour tous ceux que tu abrites, réjouissance à jamais; tu les protèges, en toi exultent les amantsde ton nom.	12 But let all those who hope in you rejoice. They will exult in eternity, and you will dwell in them. And all those who love your name will glory in you.
13 Toi, tu bénis le juste, Yahvé, comme un bouclier, ta faveur le couronne.	13 For you will bless the just. You have crowned us, O Lord, as if with a shield of your good will.
