1 Shout for joy, you upright; praise comes wel from the honest.	1 Örvendezzetek igazak, az Úrban, igaz emberekhez illik a dicséret!
2 Give thanks to Yahweh on the lyre, play for him on the ten-stringed lyre.	2 Áldjátok az Urat lanttal, zengjetek neki dalt tízhúrú hárfával!
3 Sing to him a new song, make sweet music for your cry of victory.	3 Daloljatok neki új éneket, ujjongó szóval ügyesen zsoltárt énekeljetek neki!
4 The word of Yahweh is straightforward, al he does springs from his constancy.	4 Mert igaz az Úr igéje, és minden tette hűséggel teli.
5 He loves uprightness and justice; the faithful love of Yahweh fil s the earth.	5 Az igazságot és a törvényt szereti; Az Úr irgalma betölti a földet.
6 By the word of Yahweh the heavens were made, by the breath of his mouth all their array.	6 Az Úr szava alkotta az egeket, szájának lehelete minden seregüket.
7 He collects the waters of the sea like a dam, he stores away the abyss in his treasure-house.	7 A tenger vizeit mintegy tömlőbe gyűjtötte, az örvényeket tárházakba helyezte.
8 Let the whole earth fear Yahweh, let al who dwel in the world revere him;	8 Félje az Urat az egész föld, remegjen előtte a földkerekség minden lakója!
9 for, the moment he spoke, it was so, no sooner had he commanded, than there it stood!	9 Mert ő szólt, és meglettek, parancsolt, és létrejöttek.
10 Yahweh thwarts the plans of nations, frustrates the counsels of peoples;	10 Felforgatja az Úr a nemzetek szándékait, elveti a népek gondolatait.
11 but Yahweh's own plan stands firm for ever, his heart's counsel from age to age.	11 De megmarad az Úr terve mindörökre, szíve szándéka nemzedékről nemzedékre.
12 How blessed the nation whose God is Yahweh, the people he has chosen as his heritage.	12 Boldog az a nemzet, amelynek Istene az Úr, az a nép, amelyet tulajdonául kiválasztott!
13 From heaven Yahweh looks down, he sees al the children of Adam,	13 Letekint az Úr az égből, mind látja az emberek fiait.
14 from the place where he sits he watches al who dwel on the earth;	14 Hajlékából nézi a föld megannyi lakóját.
15 he alone moulds their hearts, he understands al they do.	15 Egytől-egyig ő alkotta szívüket, ismeri minden tettüket.
16 A large army wil not keep a king safe, nor his strength save a warrior's life;	16 Nem szabadítja meg a királyt a nagy sereg, s a hőst nem menti meg nagy ereje.
17 it is delusion to rely on a horse for safety, for all its power it cannot save.	17 Nem nyújt neki a ló biztos segítséget, nem szabadítja meg hatalmas ereje.
18 But see how Yahweh watches over those who fear him, those who rely on his faithful love,	18 De íme, nézi az Úr szeme azokat, akik félik őt, akik remélik irgalmát,
19 to rescue them from death and keep them alive in famine.	19 és megmenti a haláltól lelküket, s éhínség idején is táplálja őket.
20 We are waiting for Yahweh; he is our help and our shield,	20 Lelkünket az Úr hordozza, ő segít meg s oltalmaz minket.
21 for in him our heart rejoices, in his holy name we trust.	21 Valóban, benne örvend a szívünk, és szent nevében reménykedünk.
22 Yahweh, let your faithful love rest on us, as our hope has rested in you.	22 Legyen, Uram, irgalmad rajtunk, amint benned bizakodunk!
