Psalms 105

NEW JERUSALEM	BIBBIA TINTORI
1 Al eluia! Give thanks to Yahweh, cal on his name, proclaim his deeds to the peoples!	1 Celebrate il Signore, perchè è buono, perchè dura in eterno la sua misericordia.
2 Sing to him, make music for him, recount all his wonders!	2 Chi potrà ridire le potenti opere del Signore, e far sentire tutte le sue lodi?
3 Glory in his holy name, let the hearts that seek Yahweh rejoice!	3 Beati quelli che osservano la legge e in ogni tempo praticano la giustizia.
4 Seek Yahweh and his strength, tirelessly seek his presence!	4 Ricordati di noi, o Signore, nella tua benevolenza verso il tuo popolo, visitaci colla tua salvezza;
5 Remember the marvels he has done, his wonders, the judgements he has spoken.	5 In modo che possiamo vedere la felicità dei tuoi detti, gioire dell'allegrezza del tuo popolo, e tu sia glorificato nella tua eredità.
6 Stock of Abraham, his servant, children of Jacob whom he chose!	6 Abbiamo peccato coi nostri padri, abbiamo agito da ingiusti, abbiamo commessa l'iniquità.
7 He is Yahweh our God, his judgements touch the whole world.	7 I nostri padri in Egitto non compresero i tuoi prodigi, nè si ricordarono delle tue molte misericordie. E t'irritarono nel salire verso il mare, il Mar Rosso.
8 He remembers his covenant for ever, the promise he laid down for a thousand generations,	8 Ma Egli li salvò per amor del suo nome, per far conoscere la sua potenza.
9 which he concluded with Abraham, the oath he swore to Isaac.	9 Minacciò il Mar Rosso, che seccò, e li condusse attraverso gli abissi come su arido terreno.
10 He established it as a statute for Jacob, an everlasting covenant with Israel,	10 Li salvò dalle mani di coloro che li odiavano, li liberò dal potere del nemico.
11 saying, 'To you I give a land, Canaan, your allotted birthright.'	11 Le acque sommersero i loro oppressori: non ne scampò neppur uno.
12 When they were insignificant in numbers, a handful of strangers in the land,	12 Allora essi credettero alle sue parole e cantaron le sue lodi.
13 wandering from country to country, from one kingdom and nation to another,	13 Ma fecero presto a dimenticarsi delle sue opere, e non attesero (l'adempimento) dei suoi disegni.
14 he al owed no one to oppress them; for their sake he instructed kings,	14 E s'accesero di vogliose brame nel deserto e tentarono Dio nell'arida landa.
15 'Do not touch my anointed ones, to my prophets you may do no harm.'	15 E diede loro quel che chiedevano, e mandò da saziare i loro appetiti.
16 He cal ed down famine on the land, he took away their food supply;	16 Ed essi irritarono Mosè negli alloggiamenti, e Aronne, il santo del Signore.
17 he sent a man ahead of them, Joseph, sold as a slave.	17 La terra si aprì ed ingoiò Datan e si richiuse sopra i partigiani d'Abiron.
18 So his feet were weighed down with shackles, his neck was put in irons.	18 Il fuoco divampò nella loro adunanza, la fiamma consumò gli empi.
19 In due time his prophecy was fulfilled, the word of Yahweh proved him true.	19 Fecero un vitello in Oreb, adorarono una statua scolpita.
20 The king sent orders to release him, the ruler of nations set him free;	20 Cambiaron la loro gloria colla figura d'un vitello che bruca l'erba.
21 he put him in charge of his household, the ruler of al he possessed,	21 Si dimenticaron di Dio, che li aveva salvati, che aveva fatte maravigliose cose in Egitto.
22 to instruct his princes as he saw fit, to teach his counsel ors wisdom.	22 Cose miracolose nella terra di Cam, cose terribili nel Mar Rosso.
23 Then Israel migrated to Egypt, Jacob settled in the country of Ham.	23 Aveva già detto di sterminarli, se Mosè, suo eletto, non fosse rimasto sulla breccia dinanzi a lui, per impedire al suo sdegno di annientarli,
24 He made his people increase in numbers, he gave them more strength than their enemies,	24 Stimarono un niente la terra desiderabile, non credettero alla parola di lui,
25 whose heart he turned to hate his own people, to double-cross his servants.	25 Mormoraron nelle loro tende, non dettero retta alla voce del Signore.
26 He sent his servant Moses, and Aaron, the man of his choice.	26 Egli alzò la sua mano (e giurò) contro di loro di farli perire nel deserto,
27 They worked there the wonders he commanded, marvels in the country of Ham.	27 Di cacciare la loro stirpe tra le nazioni, di disperderli per tutti i paesi.
28 Darkness he sent, and darkness fel , but that nation defied his orders.	28 Ed essi si consacrarono a Beelfegor, e mangiarono i sacrifizi dei morti.
29 He turned their rivers to blood, and kil ed al the fish in them.	29 E lo irritarono coi loro ritrovati. e pili grande divenne la loro rovina.
30 Their country was overrun with frogs, even in the royal apartments;	30 Ma Finees si alzò a placarlo, e cessò il flagello.
31 at his word came flies, and mosquitoes throughout the country.	31 E gli fu ascritto a giustizia di generazione in generazione, per sempre.
32 He gave them hail as their rain, flames of fire in their land;	32 E lo irritarono alle acque di contraddizione, e n'ebbe a soffrire Mosè per loro colpa:
33 he blasted their vine and their fig tree, and shattered the trees of the country.	33 Avendo essi esacerbato il suo spirito, egli pronunziò parole di diffidenza.
34 At his word came locusts, hoppers beyond al counting;	34 Essi non distrussero le nazioni, come il Signore aveva loro ordinato;
35 they devoured every green thing in the land, devoured al the produce of the soil.	35 Ma si mescolarono con quei popoli, e ne impararono le opere,
36 He struck al the first-born in their land, the flower of all their manhood;	36 E servirono ai foro idoli che divennero per loro una pietra d'inciampo.
37 he led Israel out with silver and gold; in their tribes there was none who stumbled.	37 E immolarono i loro figli e le loro figlie ai demoni.
38 Egypt was glad at their leaving, for terror of Israel had seized them.	38 E sparsero il sangue innocente, il sangue dei loro figli e delle loro figlie, che sacrificarono agli idoli di Canaan, e la terra fu contaminata dallo spargimento del sangue.
39 He spread out a cloud to cover them, and fire to light up the night.	39 Fu macchiata dalle loro opere; fornicarono coi loro ritrovati.
40 They asked and he brought them quails, food from heaven to their hearts' content;	40 E il Signore s'irritò furiosamente contro il suo popolo, e prese in abbominio la sua eredità.
41 he opened a rock, the waters gushed out, and flowed in dry ground as a river.	41 E li diede in potere delle nazioni; e quelli che li odiavano diventaron loro padroni.
42 Faithful to his sacred promise, given to his servant Abraham,	42 I loro nemici li trattaron duramente, ed essi furono umiliati sotto il loro potere.
43 he led out his people with rejoicing, his chosen ones with shouts of joy.	43 Spesso li liberò; ma essi lo irritarono coi loro propositi, e furono umiliati per le loro iniquità.
44 He gave them the territories of nations, they reaped the fruit of other people's labours,	44 Ma quando li vide nella tribolazione, ne ascoltò le preghiere.
45 on condition that they kept his statutes, and remained obedient to his laws.	45 Gli ricordò della sua alleanza, ne fu tocco per le sue molte misericordie,
	46 E fece loro trovar grazia presso tutti coloro che li avevan fatti schiavi.
	47 Salvaci, o Signore Dio nostro, raccoglici dì tra le nazioni, onde celebriamo il tuo santo nome e riponiamo la nostra gloria nel lodarti.
	48 Benedetto sia il Signore Dio d'Israele d'età in età. E tutto il popolo dirà: Così sia. Così sia.
